I can't believe this has been going for nearly half a year!

As always, everyone is welcome to join us in earning an extra £10 a day Smile

There's hundreds of ways to manage this, but here is a list of some of the sites that are discussed frequently, and know caused some confusion for our new joiners last time.

Appen - a contracting website that offers a wide variety of work from social media evaluation, to voice based work. Please do not sign up to the Appen site you google, use this link, or you won't register correctly and you'll waste time waiting for projects that won't come your way.

https://connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=c48139fc0a25bae5d07c634d0a043f5b

(Full disclosure, that's my referral code and I get $25 if you are accepted and work for Appen for 150 hours, if anyone else would like to post their referral code feel free)

Axie Infinity - A crypto currency based game, the idea being that you breed 'creatures' battle them, then sell them on for profit to other gamers. Money can also be made through people renting land from you, or using your Axie to breed with theirs.

Leapforce - was Leapforce, now Appen.

Cloudworkers - Saucy chat site that pays per message.

Crisp - online website moderation, more information can be found here - https://survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst. There may also be references to the dashboard, Klipfolio and atlassian and slack, which are all tools used by crisp.

LionBridge - similar to Appen.

Finally got my money come through from PayPal. And after a massive faff I've managed to add my bank account to payoneer and money shall now be transferred safely to that every month. Happy days!

Otterses I think PayPal are on a mission to hold everyone's money today!

margaritasbythesea · 13/06/2019 20:55

Quite excited about Saluda, but tell me: is it the time to apply for a new project when I move home next week and I already have full time work for the next three weeks? How long will they take to get back to us do you think? If it is a while, I'll apply. If not I'd better leave it, don't you think?

FloofenHoofen · 13/06/2019 21:46

I guess it depends whether they have available tasks margaritasbythesea.
If they don't then I'd say you'd be fine, you'll probably be waiting a while for work. But if there is work then I'd say ask to be taken off it if you feel like it's too much already on top of everything.

FloofenHoofen · 13/06/2019 21:46

So basically I would still apply and see what the outcome is

margaritasbythesea · 13/06/2019 22:47

Thanks Floofen. What I am worried about if I app and can't do it is that I would have a black mark aga my name for other things.

Anyone any ideas?

margaritasbythesea · 13/06/2019 22:47

Against

MrsWombat · 13/06/2019 23:03

A certain social media site is down and I still have things to be done by midnight. Blush Was half way through when it crashed. Off to bed, not waiting.

AdaShelby · 14/06/2019 11:53

Does anyone know how long it takes for crisp money to go into your bank please?

Bemystarlord · 14/06/2019 14:06

Oh my word this Fletcher task is sucking the life out of me! Only on 373 and ive been at it since 10! It seems to be the same ones over and over. 😬😬

TheLolaMontez · 14/06/2019 14:29

I thought that too Starlord - I wondered if I had done it wrong at one point but you have to ask it to do the same things just in a different way. It's draining. I've not done any for a couple of days, DH is out tonight so I'll try and get it done when baby is in bed.

0htooooodles · 14/06/2019 14:35

@AdaShelby I was wondering that too! First payment for me. I emailed them asking and got this back 'The time frames are all outlined on the Wiki. Payments are due within 30 days of the date that the invoice is received however, finance try to settle these between 15th and 20th of the month. If you do not receive payment by the 22nd you may raise a query for us to check when payment will be sent.'

Bemystarlord · 14/06/2019 14:35

That’s reassuring @TheLolaMontez i was worried i was doing them wrong! Pretty sure ive forgotted to say the prompt word at the start of some of them too 🙁

Mamaslave18 · 14/06/2019 20:45

Ugh I’m still only halfway on Fletcher!
I just hope they are going to pay up and won’t reject my recordings. My punctuation has gone to pot and I know some of my recordings are not that good. I’ve no idea what Pandora is so it’s hard to come up with multiple ways of asking for it!!

justtheonethen · 14/06/2019 21:13

@Mamaslave18 if it helps mine were shit and I definitely repeated the same way of asking a few times and I still got paid.

Mamaslave18 · 14/06/2019 21:35

I see that they have upped the payment and extended the deadline so they must be desperate.

FloofenHoofen · 14/06/2019 22:37

You wouldn't get a black mark against your name for leaving a project margaritasbythesea you're an independent contractor which means you can stop working at any time you wish, likewise they can remove you at any time you wish.

FloofenHoofen · 14/06/2019 22:38

They wish, even.

margaritasbythesea · 15/06/2019 06:13

Thanks Floofen. How all the bits might fit together is a mystery to me.

Toothlessismyspiritanimal · 15/06/2019 06:22

Fellow Fletcher sufferers! I feel your pain. I'm halfway through and the only thing that's keeping me going is the state of my bank account and the fact they've upped the payment Grin

ChubRubTub · 15/06/2019 11:31

I'm passed the Crisp test about 3 weeks ago, so I'm on the waiting list.

I'm going on holiday for a few weeks. What happens if they contact me while I'm away? Do you have to take the next test within a set amount of time?

Any ideas? I don't really want to take a laptop away, but don't want to lose out either.

Also, the people earning decent money with Crisp. What's the rough hourly rate?

AdaShelby · 15/06/2019 12:40

I waited over two months for crisp, not sure how long the wait is now but I think if they emailed you could probably say you're keen but away and to do it when you return.

The money is v good, it adds up quickly. Not sure on hourly rate as I dip in and out

mydogisthebest · 15/06/2019 13:00

I hadn't heard from Take Note so checked their website today. It had previously said my application was pending but it now says I failed the typing test.

I am bit upset about that as I was a legal secretary for almost 30 years and although my speed is not as fast as it was it is still pretty good. The problem I had was having to stop and/or rewind the audio. I was used to doing that with foot pedals and having to keep stop typing to do it on my keyboard was a pain and distracting.

It does say to email them to see if I can retake the test so I've done that and will have to just wait and see

ChubRubTub · 15/06/2019 13:04

Thanks Ada.

I might risk not taking it then. Sods law they'll email on my first day away!

FloofenHoofen · 15/06/2019 14:45

Anybody had the new fletcher project pop up? Not the one where you have to spend 1000 hours recording yourself, the one where you're transcribing and paid by the hour?
I've managed to pass the exam. Not sure if I really want to do it though, not really my cup of tea :/

GoodPlaceJanet · 15/06/2019 15:07

Floofen I've applied for this but can't find where the exam is?
