I can't believe this has been going for nearly half a year!

As always, everyone is welcome to join us in earning an extra £10 a day Smile

There's hundreds of ways to manage this, but here is a list of some of the sites that are discussed frequently, and know caused some confusion for our new joiners last time.

Appen - a contracting website that offers a wide variety of work from social media evaluation, to voice based work. Please do not sign up to the Appen site you google, use this link, or you won't register correctly and you'll waste time waiting for projects that won't come your way.

https://connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=c48139fc0a25bae5d07c634d0a043f5b

(Full disclosure, that's my referral code and I get $25 if you are accepted and work for Appen for 150 hours, if anyone else would like to post their referral code feel free)

Axie Infinity - A crypto currency based game, the idea being that you breed 'creatures' battle them, then sell them on for profit to other gamers. Money can also be made through people renting land from you, or using your Axie to breed with theirs.

Leapforce - was Leapforce, now Appen.

Cloudworkers - Saucy chat site that pays per message.

Crisp - online website moderation, more information can be found here - https://survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst. There may also be references to the dashboard, Klipfolio and atlassian and slack, which are all tools used by crisp.

LionBridge - similar to Appen.

Ok -that was a computer glitch not a wine glitch - I've only had one glass!! Blush Grin Blush

reddA · 12/06/2019 20:48

@BlackCatFan are you sure you're not stalking @mycatisblack Grin

Otterses · 12/06/2019 21:12

@reddA you still beat me I blame moving halfway across the country! It knocked about 14 days off crisp for me.

@TheLolaMontez ohhh, this is hard to answer. I'd imagine to hit £1000+ it would take being in the right place at the right time. The best time to make money is during a 'surge' which is normally at 1.2-1.7 or the normal pay rate. There's not always work when you want it either, it can be really slow at times. But then again, there's scope for additional income on there with set shifts you can try to gain access to when you meet the standard, which have set pay rates sooooo Blush I'm afraid that doesn't really answer much!

I can't remember who asked, but I've used mobilexpression for well over a year and never had any issues with vouchers Smile though they seem to migrate to my spam folder!

Crisp ladies - did you get an email with your statement details? I've been keeping an eye out and haven't got anything yet! This is my first payment so not sure how it all works quite yet! Thank you x

bkaz · 12/06/2019 21:45

Hi Otterseas, I am also doing the Fletcher recordings, to avoid typing are you saying that I should record voice twice on the AMR app or is it different to the dictation feature and where is this feature? Sorry for sounding dense.

mycatisblack · 12/06/2019 21:59

Black cats are ace. Love Torties and Gingers too.

Misskitty86 · 12/06/2019 22:08

@justtheonethen nup I've been checking that too Hmm I will leave it until Friday and chase it up with them then, I guess I assumed they sent them all out at the same time but maybe not! x

justtheonethen · 12/06/2019 22:15

@Misskitty86 how annoying!

Blessthekids · 12/06/2019 22:17

@mycatisblack @justtheonethen Your cats are lovely❤ I have two cats too!

reddA · 12/06/2019 22:18

I've got a Tortie and a Tabby (same markings as yours @justtheonethen) They hate each other :( Tortie is a lunatic! They both have no respect for laptops, I know I will end up keyboard mashing slack one day thanks to the cats Blush

TheLolaMontez · 12/06/2019 23:33

Hi @bkaz - I'm a fletcher worker too.
I think what was meant is that you record as per usual then when you press the button to write your transcript, you use the dictation feature on your mobile (there's a little microphone on the iPhone keyboard, bottom right) and you then say what you've just said instead of typing it out again Smile it makes it quicker if you're not too fast at typing.

BlackCatFan · 13/06/2019 07:08

Morning. Since there have been some cat pics posted here's mine. (black obviously).
I've received the paperwork for Cloudworkers and have the Skype training scheduled for next week.. they do get back to you very quickly, but I'm not sure it's going to be for me.. it's definitely "adult" chat 😕

MrsWombat · 13/06/2019 07:22

What have people been doing for tax records? Just got my first payment from Appen for a whole £13.59 but I'm going to start as I mean to go on....

Otterses · 13/06/2019 07:31

@MrsWombat I hold back about 20%, in an account I don't have access to via a card. Hoping that should cover it!

TheLolaMontez · 13/06/2019 07:46

Morning all @Otterses thanks for the info re crisp money - do you think £1000 would be do-able combined with Appen? Although I suppose it's much the same story, depends on the work available etc.

Looks like the rain has finally stopped here! Yippeeee Grin

bkaz · 13/06/2019 08:07

TheLolaMontez Thanks a mill for your response. Unfortunately I only have android phone. Was checking everywhere for this dictaphone feature!(smile). Don't think I can complete this task then. I hope they don't hold it against me.

Bemystarlord · 13/06/2019 08:15

Loving all the cat pics, I've got 3 so another black cat fan here too 🤣

@BlackCatFan how long did it take you to hear back from cloudworkers? Im bot 100% sure its for me but desperate times and all that. I dont have a skype acc so wondering if thats why I've not heard back.

Everyones crisp totals are amazing! Hopefully wont be too much longer for those of us on the waiting list.

Otterses · 13/06/2019 08:21

@TheLolaMontez I think it's possible, but if you spread yourself across a few areas Smile so if one goes tits up, you have a back up plan.

Can I check that you've sorted out your marriage allowance since going on maternity leave? You could get quite a nice refund out of that!

OP posts:
Otterses · 13/06/2019 08:25

And I'm very Envy of everyone's cats.

We tried a few years ago to adopt an older rescue cat, but it was a big fat 'no' because they thought us moving every two years would be unfair. Which I can kind of agree with. But rules out most pets for us.

@bkaz they will email you constantly begging you to complete it Grin

OP posts:
TheLolaMontez · 13/06/2019 09:50

@Otterses - talk to me about marriage allowance... 😂

Otterses · 13/06/2019 09:51

Treat day seeing as it's pay day Grin !

DH has a Cadbury hamper for Sunday, and I got DS a really cool paddling pool type thing with water jets that spray up (preparing for the heatwave next week). More than I'd usually like to spend out of my extra income, but I figure they won't be getting anything now until Christmas Grin ...

OP posts:
Otterses · 13/06/2019 10:01

@TheLolaMontez Shock

Assuming you were on maternity allowance or SMP, you earn less than £12500 or whatever the bloody hell it is now, a year. This means you can 'transfer' £1250 of your tax free allowance to your DH (again, apologies, I'm assuming you're married?), which means he's been overpaying tax which will result in 1. Him paying less money in the future assuming you earn less than the threshold a year. And 2. You'll get a rebate, if not for last year, then certainly for this year.

I hope that makes sense Grin I'm very tired.

Do it today! It's dead easy, and it'll save you both some money long term if you plan on staying home with your little one for a while.

@Otterses have you been paid from crisp?
That paddling pool sounds amazing!
