Hello veterans and newbies Grin can't believe we're still going a quarter of the way through the year!

I don't know about everyone else, but I've been crap at tracking properly. Obviously I've got invoices to go off, but I'm going to try to be better this month.

Good start this morning! £28 (£18 less my £10 deposit) on a virgin bonanza box, £8 cashback on the virgin deal too. £10.61 Appen work already done today. I most likely won't do any Crisp today, as I've got an essay due Friday I need to crack on with.

£36.31 so far this month.

How's everyone else ticking along?

@PollyShelby I sent nothing to them Grin which is odd considering I normally don't even appear with credit reference agencies I'm clearly imaginary.

@BlackCatFan
I'm doing the Cloudworkers gig, yes its sexy /flirty chat and not great money. It's easy but very boring and ££ not great. You can get started straight away though. Crisp, if you have applied for that, looks way better tbh (I failed the final test Blush).

Bbub · 27/05/2019 19:40

If anyone wants to DM me for more details of Cloudworkers please feel free.

Otterses · 27/05/2019 20:10

@Bbub I really think you should apply again Smile

Can I be nosey and ask what you're making so far from it?

@PollyShelby I've been doing two weeks and they've contacted me a couple of times when I've classified it wrong. They're pretty quick off the mark in letting you know.

Haven't heard about the accuracy they need or being re trained though Confused

Otterses · 27/05/2019 21:43

@0htooooodles @PollyShelby I believe the policy is 3 errors in 30 minutes and they can ask you to retake the exam?

OP posts:
0htooooodles · 27/05/2019 21:52

@Otterses really? seems kinda harsh!

Otterses · 27/05/2019 22:22

@0htooooodles I can see both sides of it to be honest. Then there's 'never' risks, so if you missed a suicide threat or terror threat you'd be booted off.

@otterses yeah i can understand that, but there are sometimes when the item is so confusing, that none of the trees fit. i'm generally more over cautious than under.

All the love island stuff has been released...insane how busy it is! hope this is a look at how busy it;'ll be over the next month or so Grin

PollyShelby · 27/05/2019 22:41

I'm over cautious too.

smurfmonkey · 27/05/2019 23:28

I've had a couple of messages to query my choices, both through slack and sent in the session I was working on. I've only been on Crisp for 3 weeks and these were within the first week or so. They were supportive messages, just asking why I picked the selection I did and clarifying why it was wrong.

I've sent a few queries through, it's hard to determine some profanities as they don't provide a full list. So something like 'dang' is that offensive? Apparently it's a mild profanity!

PollyShelby · 27/05/2019 23:29

Can we work in others apart from mod 2 and monitoring then?

I'm keen to see what the others are like.

PollyShelby · 27/05/2019 23:31

I didn't know Dang was bad but my American friends think hell is a swear word.

smurfmonkey · 27/05/2019 23:40

After 3 months you can sign up for Combat, I had a quick look through the info on Wiki and it looked complicated, well complicated to me anyway!

I'm not sure about Bespoke as I've had the occasional item from it pop up in Mod2. And Coke is just a mystery to me Grin

BeeMyBaby · 28/05/2019 00:16

I've had a couple of messages to me about mis-categorising things, both were because I was being over cautious I think. The advice was good, choose what you see, so if it's not in the tree, I guess don't choose it just in case (unless the unsure option is available). So I guess they pick up the ones we have flagged but I don't know how they check the ones we've labelled as no risk.
And it's very confusing with all the brands different trees meaning different things, i.e. Some brands care if anyone says anything reputational where as other brands only seem to care if it's an influencer or the press.
Yes I consider dang, hell, God, all mild swearing.

ilovepixie · 28/05/2019 00:36

Does anyone have a link for the clear blue trials please.

WheelyCote · 28/05/2019 07:12

Morning everyone

Ottersees hope your cold is not too bad todayFlowers

Ive had the exam details for lionbridge. Im not holding much hope, it doesnt sound like many people pass.
Falcon Inari have emailed me back and said that it will take a week or two for me to be added - then i can get started. I read on the money shed, that at first they give you just 1 hour a day to, to reduce mistakes.

Given up with redwigwam pah! nothing.
the web alert thing for the prolific survey, alerts all throuhg the day but its usually when I cant do anything about it.

Worked overtime with work on saturday. Tired today. But i have 4 days off from thursday. yayy

WheelyCote · 28/05/2019 07:23

Anybody any experience with ESA? good , bad?
The money shed have it listed and somebody was reporting they earned 178 pound in May from it.

And anyone read any other money blogs...looking for reading recommendations?

WheelyCote · 28/05/2019 07:32

I think im learning from this thread is that your all bloody fabulous! lol and that its not wise to put your eggs all in one basket.

So to have a few go-tos to earn money and treat it like a waterfall effect
i.e check-in list order

  1. online earner 1. If the work is slow, dried up etc move on to
  2. online earner 2 and repeat onto online earner 3
and so on

also leaving a bit of time to scout about for new earning possibilities to add to the list.

So thank you very much for this thread. Im still at the very beginning but i feel i now have some control. If i need to get repairs (like that bloody car cost me) then i have the power to earn it and solve the problem , rather than panicing that Im not going to make ends meet

0htooooodles · 28/05/2019 08:09

I asked about the accuracy and getting feedback last night on crisp and got this email back this morning -

All of our Risk Analysts are subjected to Quality Assessment of your work. Once this has been done you will receive an email should there be any area of improvement needed.

Please do bear with us, as we have recently onboarded a large number of RA's who will need a QA soon it could take us a little while to follow up.

In the short term if any errors are seen by the senior team you will be contacted on Slack by the Shift Manager with guidance as to any error made and how the item could have been correctly moderated

PollyShelby · 28/05/2019 08:12

@0htooooodles thanks for that. I'm liking crisp very much and would like it to be a long term thing.

0htooooodles · 28/05/2019 08:15

@Pollyshelby Me too, i'm finding it really interesting

Otterses · 28/05/2019 08:49

Ohhhh thanks for that @0htooooodles ! A QA sounds bloody terrifying 😂 I'm really hoping for Crisp to be a long term thing, when I start my new job there's going to be a shortfall of £110, and crisp would easily cover that. I'm aiming for £300 this month, so I need to make £23.25 on crisp for the next four days, which seems just about achievable.

@WheelyCote streaming Grin and I've given it to DS. He's taken it well. He's running around pretending to be a helicopter. The snot clearly adds to the sound effects...

You can't work for both Appen and LB. I'd suggest cancelling the exam, if found to be working for both, you'll lose both jobs. I've heard of it happening to people I'm afraid Sad

Congrats on the Appen project, you'll be fine.

It's very wise not to put all your eggs in one basket. I think this being a slow couple of weeks on Crisp with limited surges really drives that home. I've not heard of ESA before, at least I don't think I have!

Debating chasing work for one day of pay, they put my leaving date on my P45 as one day earlier than I actually left Angry

On a plus, as I've been out of work for four weeks, I can send off my form today to claim my tax back Grin hoping they'll see I massively overpaid last year and they'll refund me the lot.
