Hello veterans and newbies can't believe we're still going a quarter of the way through the year!

I don't know about everyone else, but I've been crap at tracking properly. Obviously I've got invoices to go off, but I'm going to try to be better this month.

Good start this morning! £28 (£18 less my £10 deposit) on a virgin bonanza box, £8 cashback on the virgin deal too. £10.61 Appen work already done today. I most likely won't do any Crisp today, as I've got an essay due Friday I need to crack on with.

£36.31 so far this month.

How's everyone else ticking along?

A few of us have been accepted with 18/20. Take a break, and have another go later. Don't get disheartened.

I've seen you can 'rent out' land which is quite interesting too.

used a different email address and it looks like the account is no longer there. All very confusing.

When i log into the original account that i then tried to sign up as an agent with still has those irritating speech tasks.

Anybody ideas on how i can get into appen?

Ottersees are there two appens?
The appen I've been logging into is this one with the two irritating tasks that never disappear see below BUT

This is when i log in to the appen global. This must be the application completed yesterday.

Basically it looks like there are two login pages, both different.

The top one is the one ive been logging onto and seeing those two annoying tasks day after day.

The second one is the one i applie to last night through the link you put up. One seems to be for a user and the last one for an agent. Which one are you all logging into???

@WheelyCote Agent you always want to be an agent via the Leapforce/Appen connect link.

There are technically 'two' appens as they took over Leapforce September last year Leapforce/Appen connect have long term projects like Nike, Java, etc. Appen global has the shitty micro tasks.

Now that i've applied properly, what is the next stage and how long does it generally take to get going? and how long before you heard back from them after applying?

Re Crisp Do you find the pay is slightly more for moderating over monitoring as it is a bit more complex?

How would you know, aren’t they all jumbled in together? I simply go onto “Mod 2,” is that right?

@allworthwhile there is a tab under mod2 for monitoring. It's mainly PR risks.

Can't remember who asked about pay but I think they pay the same so I just work whichever has a surge. I find monitoring more difficult to judge for some reason though.

I find the moderating easier on crisp so I tend to go in there.

Hi, please may I join? I've been lurking (I feel like some horrible person eavesdropping behind a door) since Feb, but I'd really like to enter the room now...
I applied for crisp is Feb and couldn't get about 18, (I tried sooo many times always getting 17/18). Anyway, I finally got accepted at the start of the month and I am so grateful to all of you for this, I am currently abroad and pretty desperate for money (think: eating a lot of potatoes), but I have so much more hope for the future now and I'm feeling really happy as I finally have some control back in my life.
I also joined up with Take Note that someone mentioned here, I'm not the fastest typist, probably up to about 70wpm but I make around £4-5 per hour with that speed. With crisp I make about £5 ph plus the extra if I do it during a surge and it's much easier than the concentration and silence required for transcription.
On my job search I found another company, myjobforma I think it's called, it seems to be a bit like append but pays around $11 ph and it's time actually worked in their software rather than how fast you can complete a task I believe. I've had a little bit of chat with them and they seem legit, possibly based in Spain. I'm going to try to sign up with them properly in the summer when I'm back in the uk but don't have a stable etc internet connection to do the live training at the moment.
And another one if people have degrees is teaching with Itutorgroup, I can't remember if that was discussed before? But my internet speed wasn't high enough even though the training and interview was very easy and the pay averaged as good (about £10-12 ph), but once you choose your min hour slots you have to stick with them unless you state you are on holiday, on the other hand you have a guaranteed income.

Thank you to @Otterses for clarifying the appen login. I was doing the same thing as @WheelyCote & logging in to the micro tasks one. I have now signed up for the agent one and fingers crossed I get accepted. Also passed crisp 19/20 on friday. 2nd attempt. Now i guess it's a 2 month wait? For those who do matched betting what do you do after the football season ends? Also has anyone signed up for the likes of peopleperhour? Want to do so but a bit nervous
