Hello veterans and newbies Grin can't believe we're still going a quarter of the way through the year!

I don't know about everyone else, but I've been crap at tracking properly. Obviously I've got invoices to go off, but I'm going to try to be better this month.

Good start this morning! £28 (£18 less my £10 deposit) on a virgin bonanza box, £8 cashback on the virgin deal too. £10.61 Appen work already done today. I most likely won't do any Crisp today, as I've got an essay due Friday I need to crack on with.

£36.31 so far this month.

How's everyone else ticking along?

I've just had a message saying my statement is inaccurate and to submit another anyone else

somewhere78 · 13/05/2019 17:19

@Fizbo I transferred my money from payoneer this morning (from my Appen payment) and it's hit my Halifax account a little after 4pm Smile

morekidsthanhands · 13/05/2019 17:21

@withallintenseandpurposes I've just had the same email and came on here to ask! I haven't received a second statement yet have you?

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 13/05/2019 17:35

Nope but apparently ready soon

reddA · 13/05/2019 18:20

They resent all of the statements due to an error on some (not to do with the payment amount) So the money is still the same :)

WheelyCote · 13/05/2019 18:23

Heard back from lionbridge. I dont think im going to go through with it. If i sign up with them, theres restrictions on who else i can do work with.

Appen being one of them and they want access to my emails and may ask me questions on anything in gmail account. Not feeling comfortable. And pay less then 10 pound an hr.
Anyone else had similar?

reddA · 13/05/2019 19:54

I passed part 1 & 2 but failed the 3rd test with Lionbridge - I had spent hours unpaid studying for it too so I was really gutted, you get no feedback either so i've no idea where I went wrong.

reddA · 13/05/2019 20:10

Make sure you guys re send your Paypal invoices as any sent before the new invoice emails have been disregarded. I just copied mine then cancelled the one from earlier and sent the copy across.

Misskitty86 · 13/05/2019 21:56

Has anyone started project Carmel on appen? I just noticed there are tasks available.. but it sounds pretty similar to that mammoth speech task that was on Appen Global recently, not much pay for quite a bit of work. Can't decide if It's going to be worth attempting or not Confused

Fizbo · 13/05/2019 23:51

Thanks @somewhere78 it's come though Smile

Otterses · 14/05/2019 08:21

@morekidsthanhands I'm so sorry, I know I shouldn't laugh. That's really grim I really don't know who tells men that women find photos of dicks sent to them attractive.

@WheelyCote Aye, I don't think much has really moved forward since you left! It's very much the same. A recruitment agency had a 'list' of road names known to be MQ's and would refuse to offer permanent contracts - blatant discrimination against forces dependants, but without being totally obvious. Same for obvious 18-24 month jobs and gaps on CV's. It's crap.

I need to compile some research, attempt to lobby a few companies and discover some new home working ones, then I'm going to try to secure some funding that's the plan anyway.

@WithAllIntenseAndPurposes that was possibly the most terrifying email I think I've ever read.

@reddA You don't need LB GrinYou're smashing it at a Crisp. There will be loads more opportunities out there.

LB seems really intense to me to be honest.

Is anyone on any of the projects with Appen that require Instagram?Instagram account, but I only use it to follow others, I do not post at all (even though I seem to have over 100 followers). Not sure if I have to be active posting on it to get on the projects?

Mamaslave18 · 14/05/2019 13:08

I’m on an Instagram project and post rarely.

0htooooodles · 14/05/2019 13:49

So I've been doing crisp since yesterday, and I've had two feedbacks, which is fine. I'm now starting to second guess my answers though 😩. Anyone else still get that feeling?

morekidsthanhands · 14/05/2019 14:21

@ohtooooodles I've only ever had it once in the two months I've been doing it and it really put me off and second guess myself so I can see why you feel like that! I was tired and probably shouldn't have been working and accidently no risked something minor and got a message about 5 minutes later. Really put me off as I didn't know I was being watched so closely!

What I will say that really helped earlier on was sending any unsure items off for feedback. I was sending 5/6 a day at first and the feedback really helped. So if you aren't sure use that feature and it will give you a better idea of what they are looking for im sure.

Fiddie · 14/05/2019 14:49

I'm back from holiday and about to start crisp. Do I need to do a full hour or can I just dip in and out? Also is it as simple as just going in and selecting Mod2 and waiting?

0htooooodles · 14/05/2019 14:58

Thanks @morekidsthanhands! Completely forgot to do that for the unsure ones - although haven't had that many. I've managed over 700 in the past day or so, and to get feedback for 2 isn't all that bad in the scheme of things, just need to get to grips with it

smurfmonkey · 14/05/2019 16:06

@Fiddie
Pretty much yes and yes!

@0htooooodles
I've had two sets of feedback while I've been working so far, it does throw you a bit, particularly when you realise it was probably a silly mistake but I've found the feedback useful. I haven't sent any unsure items off yet. I'm kinda assuming everything else has been ok...!

smurfmonkey · 14/05/2019 16:10

Hmm just realised I said yes to an open question there... yes you can dip in and out, you don't need to do a full hour Smile

WheelyCote · 14/05/2019 16:54

Anybody experience with click worker?

I got 0% on the qualifying survey for this. I think I must buy too much!

Respondent has been pretty good for me. Got $100 last week and up for $50 next week.
