Do you have OM @Golden0ldie? If so, check out the Bet365 thread (it's long). There is a way to lock in £100+ profit (at current odds) by using the Each Way Extra odds on Bet365 if you give up the chance of the 5th place win both bookie & exchange. I was happy to lock in. You need a large liability though (£890+). I already have quite a few bets on for tomorrow & money tied up so needed to deposit into Smarkets which I haven't done since Cheltenham!

Ah I wondered if that was what you had done favourite. Well done! Yes, was reading the thread earlier. Don’t have enough liability for that, really wish I had withrawn from bookies early in week. Am planning to do my wins on Smarkets and places on Betfair, simply because it should work with where my exchange money is. You’ve had a good day tomorrow before it has even started!

I've gone for the 5th place chance, managed to get on £125 worth of bets (so half the offer) and liability of £300 ish by combining a few things

Yes G0, we won't talk about the fact I've withdrawn all the kids money (like a real gambler!). They'll have no idea and it'll be back in their accounts within the week.

Thank you for the list Golden. I’m a bit cross, I can’t log in to om as have forgotten log in details, and they are being slow at responding. What a day for it to happen. Think I’m messing things up, and particularly because I haven’t got enough money in exchange for everything I want to do. I want to place kind of mug bets with my favourite bookies because what normal bettor wouldn’t bet on the grand national? Frustrating day.

Lol favourite, I didn’t raid the kids accounts but did borrow £500 from my regular bank account which will also be back in a few days. I was dizzy after doing Bet365 ... managed £70 profit with a shot at the extra place. Discovered a free £5 bet in Quinn having unknowingly hit 2nd to sp fav in last few days. Had £12 in Unibet so covered 6 runners at £1 ew with no lay ... they’re paying 7 places so hope I hit one. Need to get a coupke of bets on with Sky, Will Hill and Paddy, just to try and look regular. Might do ew and only lay the win. Need a nap!

Thank you both, haven’t managed to sort it yet, my own fault really I should have kept a note of log in details, I have with everything else! I’m flying by the seat of my pants with the grand national (have layer the win part on bet365 but not the each way as didn’t have enough exchange money) and hoping for some luck - big bloody aghh, that’s not what a matched bettor should be doing!!

Oooh what happened with your National Through? My small unlaid places with Sky and Will Hill didn’t come in but I had Rathvindin with Paddy. Not much in it. Reading the TP fb page with the massive profits folk have made 😮 ... am feeling that my efforts were feeble but I am happy enough. Got £71 on 365 but knocked 8 off with losses on punts 😂. Still, it was the National!

I came out on top - about £1.89 🤣. Oh well. Feels a waste. But the good thing about matched betting is there are always events coming up, so I really need to get to grips with doing it properly, rather than keep taking chances.

Does anyone have success with accas? I haven’t explored this at all.

I don’t think profit squads as good as om. I have learnt something though, you know those “best odds guaranteed” offers you see? They’re worth doing.

If you back/lay a horse a couple of hours before a race at say 3, then by the time the race starts it’s at 5 they pay out at 5 giving you instant profit & loads of bookies offer it. If the odds drop to 2 they pay out at the original odds.

You can combine it with refund offers too.

Hi all, I want to start matched betting but find it a bit of a mindfield. I have watched the videos on team profit but I'm useless at maths so it's all a bit ahhhhhh.

What websites would you all recommend starting with- Coral and Betfair?

Moplay have an ACCA betclub i.e. Bet £10 on an ACCA for a £5 FB. Since Moplay is probably my biggest source of FB I usually punt this for account health. To lay an ACCA you usually need the matches to run one after the other so that's an obvious sign that you're a matched bettor. If you pick matches that overlap it makes you look like a real gambler. I pick 3 outright favourites and usually win £25-30 a week from that one bet. Worse case is you lose a few £.

Yellow Yes, but sign up to odds monkey. Save all the money you make to give you a bigger bank or float at the end.

Just don’t sign up to freebets4all! . I’m doing the £1 trial at odds monkey and it’s good - when I last did MB their matcher tool was free but now it’s not, although it’s annoying paying out for a subscription I personally don’t think I could do it without now as I think it will pay for itself finding better matches then I could do manually. Not to mention the other stuff.

I am £162 up after the national as I was lucky with the 5th place.
That offset the fact that I couldn’t max out the bet365 offer because I’d forgotten I’d put a £100 daily deposit limit on there!

@DonkeyScramble, that’s both really interesting and good advice about the MoPlay betclub and pinting it. I only discovered last week that they actually have a betclub and it’s on my list to do. Might just do it your way and see what happens. I use their fb offers now and again but am wary of using them too often.

I’m on my second week of the K8 betclub. Their website is truly awful and odds aren’t great. They award their free bets on a Wednesday - ne was there yesteray but not today so hope I haven’t missed using it. To make matters worse, they just dropped off Oddsmatcher in the space of an hour the other day.

I also had Wolves with WH today but sadly had used the lock in method so only made £4.70. Oh well.

I've had an excellent GN week, finishing the week at £270.90 profit, yay! I hit extra places in Thursday's and Saturday's 13:45 races which really helped as well as locking in £104 profit from Bet365 offer.

It's the end of week 13 for me and I'm well ahead of my £100 p/w target, but I'm keeping most of my profits banked just now in case of slow weeks. It's nice to have a safety net.

I'm going to do some new sign-ups this week. I keep seeing one on Google pop up, a new betting site, Ruby bet and I'm also going to sign up to Starspins.

Just deposited £10 with Woman Bingo to get a bomanza box which contained £11.50. Nice. Those who do Heart. What are the reloads like? My offer this week was to wager £100 for a box. I didn’t do it but was hoping for some easier offers!

Thanks G0, my initial totting up was slightly wrong, I'd counted a bonus balance of £4.84 in Mecca which I immediately lost upon withdrawal. I'd have wagered it if I'd known! So £266 odds profit last week, still not too shabby though!

I'm annoyed with myself about GG today. I played around with the figures on th calc/spreadsheet re. underlaying until 2 of the outcomes netted me £11-£12 each, the third the big win and the fourth £0 (but £0 loss). Guess which option came in? Well, can't win them all! I shouldn't have been greedy though and gone for the £4-£5 lock-in.

I was also a bit silly with Betfred in-play £10 trigger bet today. I was at a 4th birthday party between 1pm & 4pm - aarrgghh! So I managed to sneakily put £10 on Arsenal then got distracted by my child then went to lay and Everton had scored! That wasn't the silly bit as I know that can happen! I then mulled it over while wrangling my 2 year old on a bouncy castle and panicked about losing £10 and ended up laying at stupidly silly odds like 19 or something. It ended up fine and in my favour as I had no qualifying loss on the trigger bet but if Arsenal had scored 2 goals then I'd have been £150 out of pocket. It felt like real gambling as it was nail bitingly tense. I've learnt a lesson.

I've just done loads of withdrawals and my kid's savings account will be replenished by Tuesday!

I always like a Monday as with 3 x free bets (PP, Sky & Betfred) and 3 x lots of free spins (Coral, PP & Bethard) its an easy day!

With K8 you need to look for odds during the day rather than in the evening. I can get ~20p QL per bet usually. Apparently oddsmonkey have a temporary problem with them on the odds matcher.
