Can I join in the thread?

I've known about it for months but never had any spare money I could tie up .I've always been on weekly tax credits and work part time getting paid 4 weekly... it meant I was pretty much living hand to mouth.

I moved over to monthly UC. The payment date has aligned with my wages and I have a whole months money at once.

I decided to go for it and put 145 of my own money in yesterday. I completed the coral, skybet and Ladbrokes offer and did the qualifying bet with betfred.

I'm 46 quid up after one day and have my 30 quid free bets with betfred still to do. I frustratingly won at the bookies and not the exchange meaning Im waiting for the winnings to clear back to my account before I can carry on.

I could cover what I'm waiting for but I would rather wait just in case.

Everyone I've spoken to irl thinks I'm crazy

itsabongthing · 10/05/2019 10:52

Yes... I’ve learnt not to share it with other people as they think I’m gambling/mad and don’t really get it! It’s a shame as it can be easy money!

itsabongthing · 10/05/2019 10:54

@colette strangely enough I am much happier doing it at the PC, though do use my mobile a bit (old iPhone 5s). I find things display better on the pc especially some of the casino slots and my DH has two monitors set up for his work so I can easily have two things open at once like the blackjack strategy chart and the game, or smarkets and the bookies if odds are changing quickly.

itsabongthing · 10/05/2019 10:55

I also have my trusty spreadsheet on there where I keep track of all the bets, free bets waiting to be used, accounts I’ve opened and pending withdrawals.

ceecee32 · 10/05/2019 14:26

I have been happily plodding along using Profit Maximiser but thinking that I needed to learn more I signed up to a 10 day trial at Odds Monkey - my head is fried ..... and I didnt get any bets on anything at all.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/05/2019 15:18

I’d stop telling them Stabbitha. Just enjoy your free money. Don’t forget the cashback.

Colette · 10/05/2019 19:28

Thanks itsabongthing , that's useful as may be better to just sort PC out , having 2 screens would be even better :-)

Golden0ldie · 14/05/2019 23:35

Hi folks ... anyone doing extra places on the golf? If you’ve been there, done that, fancy posting a few tips for those of us who haven’t touched golf before? What’s the best strategy with regards to how many players to cover and which players? I haven’t a clue but it sounds as though it will bring a few pounds in so would like to spend time tomorrow getting on it.

Thanks!

thefavourite · 15/05/2019 10:30

Hello @Golden0ldie,

I have and made a few quid from it.

I don't think there's any real skill, I just use the OM extra places matcher and take a low QL without too high a liability (it does tie up your liability for a few days). Back each way but back for 8/10 places and lay 4 or 5. If I can get a QL I'm happy with, i tend to go for people within the top 10 odds wise as I figure they are most likely to come 6th-10th!

Also, look up dead heat rules, this confused me initially!

Thanks favourite, am reading the OM thread atm. Oh my, those guys have big sums tied up. Am going to make a list of top 10 and price them up. It seems complicated but am sure will make sense of it as I go along.

Paintingtheroseswhite · 17/05/2019 06:43

Hi all, I'm taking the plunge and putting my toe in the water of sequential lay Accra's. Quick question, when you lay your second leg do you lay the accumulated win from the first leg or just the original stake? I think it must be the winnings from the first leg but please just put my mind at rest

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/05/2019 07:00

If anyone else’s casino cashback became payable today it’s worth more as a pre paid master card but it’s a pita to spend.

Transfer to master card
Add card to PayPal
Transfer balance on card to dh, friend using PayPal friends and family so it’s free.

They transfer back to you. I got £65 just now this way.

BlockRockinBeats · 17/05/2019 17:33

Hi everyone.

Just asking if anyone has joined MustardBet? I have joined via the cashback site, OhMyDosh! as you can earn £20 cash back from them for joining, depositing £10 and then playing through it. MustardBet themselves are also offering an additional £10 cashback to new members, but it only asks you to opt into this when you are registering (it doesn't promote this offer on the home page for some reason).

So far so good...I have registered but my account is now 'pending' awaiting security checks. Now, I have never had that on any gambling site before. Has anyone else had this delay either with this company or another site? I am used to sometimes having to provide proof of ID and address to get up and running, but this is usually after I have joined and deposited cash. My MustardBet account is just 'pending'. How odd!

I guess I will wait and see what happens and feedback here just in case anyone else is having this issue.

BTW, if you have not joined OhMyDosh yet, it is well worth it as there are quite a few different bingo and casino cash back offers on there at the moment, which I have not seen on TopCashBack and Quidco before. I have done quite a few so far. It is just this MustardBet one that has hit a standstill.

If you would like to join OhMyDosh, you are very welcome to use my referral link below and we will both get a bonus.

Hi Block, I suspect your account opening is held up as the rules around id changed in 6/7 May and bookies now have to verify accounts. I’ve seen similar posts on the TP FB page and there doesn’t seem to be an issue once the verification is done. If you’ve been waiting a while, can you LC them?

On a similar note, I received an email from BetVictor re ID - sounds like no more bets until ID is verified. Better get it done.

Check your emails for Dunder, deposit £20, get 50 free spins every day over the weekend, so a total of 150 free spins. Wagering is x25 and bonus before cash so your own cash is safe as long as you watch your balance. I’m saving it for when the kids are in bed!

mushforbrain · 18/05/2019 20:57

Hi am new to matched betting and slowly getting started via OM guides. Did the coral free bets yesterday, all good. I started the skybet offer and the odds matcher helped me place a qualifying bet, got my free bets. But now on the oddsmatcher I can’t find skybet at all?! It’s not showing as an option in the bookmaker filter at all, which as I am using the free service I might expect, but it showed skybet a minute a go when I was placing the qualifying bet? Please tell me it’s something simple!

titchy · 18/05/2019 22:13

Odds Matcher only shows matches over 80% - there may not be any right now from Sky!

mushforbrain · 19/05/2019 22:51

Aha! Sorry I knew it would be something simple. Thanks!

ChubRubTub · 28/05/2019 08:06

I'm new to this and want to place some free bets on the tennis. I don't understand how to do lay bet in Bet Fair though.

It's showing two columns: 1 and 2. Does this mean you can only lay bets on the outcome of the first 2 sets of the match?

I'm ok with footie etc, but don't want to get my lay bet wrong! Thanks

titchy · 28/05/2019 09:30

It's referring to player 1 or player 2.

Be careful with tennis - you need the first set to have been completed before the exchange will pay out. Tennis often better dutched with another bookie.

ChubRubTub · 28/05/2019 11:55

Thanks Titchy. That makes sense!

I have a few free bets, so will do it that way - thanks for the tip.

ChubRubTub · 30/05/2019 00:02

I'm starting to place a lot more bets now that I'm comfortable with what I'm doing.

Do you keep a log of your bets etc? It seems like additional work, but I feel like I need to keep track somehow.

What do you do?

YesQueen · 30/05/2019 06:16

I had a big casino win last night. Was doing the WH £5 wager for £5 bonus on Zeus something or other
Came out with £350 after wagering ShockShockShock

bluemumsbluedog · 30/05/2019 07:37

Well done @YesQueen. @ChubRubTub I use the profit tracker on odds monkey

Golden0ldie · 30/05/2019 19:59

Amazing YesQueen - well done! I have yet to have a decent casino win ...I continue to live in hope.

ChubRubTub, I use a spreadsheet and a notebook. It is time consuming but if I make a mistake, it’s much easier to find!
