I don't know if this of interest but the freepostcode lottery regularly has links to sign up for pinecone survey company. Which is one of the better paying ones according to Martin Lewis.

Frenchdoors1 · 03/03/2019 13:45

Oh dear, I keep signing up for all these surveys then change my mind when they want sooo much private information from you...

Otterses · 03/03/2019 14:59

@Frenchdoors1 totally understand that. I'd stop wasting time on surveys to be honest if they don't appeal to you Smile lots of other ways to make money out there! And faster ways at that.

Otterses · 03/03/2019 15:21

A more money 'saving' side note ... has anyone used one of these? I figured it'd save me about £60-80 a year if it's any good!

www.ecoegg.com/product/laundry-egg/

@StickyShoess it made me think of you and the mountains of washing you must get through with four little ones, could potentially be a good money saver rather than a maker.

mydogisthebest · 03/03/2019 15:37

I have been using the ecoegg for about 8 months now. I like it. I do use fabric conditioner as well as I like my washing to smell nice. Also it doesn't always remove stains. I just use a pre wash spray and that is usually enough.

My DH has a manual job and sometimes his work clothes get pretty dirty. Most of the time they come up clean.

ChakiraChakra · 03/03/2019 22:44

I tried something similar but wasn't really happy with it. Might have been a cheaper for a reason version though!

If you go into the zero waste uk Facebook group and have a search, there are all kinds of clothes washing alternatives discussed, most of which save money.

namechangedforanon · 03/03/2019 23:14

I've just done the football index offer mentioned on the last thread .. * (my sign up didn't work the first time as my internet was playing up* ) - will let you know how I get on !

Not much to update!

Should hear back from Crisp today. Hopes aren't high but you never know! I'm also sending DH to work with three black bags for the charity shop. Too many gumtree and eBay no shows this month, I can't be doing with trying to list stuff again.

02/03 - 10.61 LF
03/03 - 10.61 LF
04/03 - 13.26 heart bingo from free spins off the daily game, and 10.61 LF.

£105.70/310

HaventGotAllDay · 04/03/2019 07:30

I used to use eco egg things but I could never get my head round the fact that my washing WAS clean when it didn't SMELL clean!
I have failed Crisp- will teach me to read stuff first instead of going yeah yeah yeah click click. Grin

Two days off my real (poorly paid and time consuming) job now and going to sit down and do the UTest thingy they sent me. Also have the first stage in the Lionbridge system ("contractual" things) to plod through.

Otterses · 04/03/2019 07:39

BOOM.

Sky let me cancel without a termination fee as they bumped the price up last week. £120 from Quidco, and a £80 voucher AND a free tablet this morning

£305.70/£310.

@HaventGotAllDay Grin I've probably failed too! Did they say you can retake? I think that's the attitude though, onwards and upwards, there's so many other great opportunities out there.

Fizzyboo · 04/03/2019 08:24

Ooh can I join? This looks good!

Have googled crisp but can't find owt, can anyone link me? Thanks! Excited to join in!

Otterses · 04/03/2019 08:27

survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst

@Fizzyboo

If you google 'Crisp Thinking' you should get a few results to look at :) but above is the application.

Fizzyboo · 04/03/2019 08:32

Wonderful, many thanks!Grin

duffed · 04/03/2019 11:07

My goodness - I stroll away for a few days and miss the start from the whole new thread!

Did a craft fair at the weekend but only made about £20... still might direct more people to my etsy so we'll see!

I did a bit of adhoc performance work with my baby on thursday - will get £420 for that. its my job really, but as i'm on maternity leave its all extra. Guess I can just take a nap for March then? Nooo!

Now those two bits of real life work are out of the way i.m ready to dive more into crisp - they have surge payments all the time which makes it easier to make £££

reddA · 04/03/2019 11:16

Morning all :) I'm just about to start my second Utest Academy training, no news from Appen or Crisp so I'm still just doing surveys etc. for peanuts. Really need a proper work from home job Sad

HaventGotAllDay · 04/03/2019 12:22

Appen is bonkers conkers in terms of user friendliness. Maybe they should approach uTest for advice!
Lionbridge seems easier to navigate.

Otterses- I think you can redo Crisp, yes. Will read the bumpf next time!!

UTest sent me a project this morning but it involved setting up skrill payment accounts and I ran away shrieking.

Otterses · 04/03/2019 12:24

Still nothing from Crisp Grin

reddA · 04/03/2019 13:14

I'm still trying to sort out my mobile phone to do logs on my computer - I seem to spend all of my time doing unpaid stupid stuff Angry - I still don't really understand Utest, all of the projects seem to be totally unrelated to what I am actually learning in the academy Confused

Otterses · 04/03/2019 13:35
Shock

I PASSED!

Honestly could cry with happiness. I know it's extra money I'm aiming for to save, but this means I seriously don't need to worry about finding a job as soon as we move.

margaritasbythesea · 04/03/2019 13:40

Well done Otterses!

duffed · 04/03/2019 13:55

Congratulations Otterses! Look forward to seeing you on the OTHER SIDE

I'm still getting to grips, but very excited about this easing the transition once i'm out of maternity leave

Otterses · 04/03/2019 13:57

Thank you @margaritasbythesea Grin

Otterses · 04/03/2019 14:13

Yes @duffed Grin glad you're finding it good so far! How many hours a week are you aiming for?

duffed · 04/03/2019 14:29

that's a hard one! at the moment i'm just doing it whilst breastfeeding at home - so 15/30 minutes here are there most days, i've not had a lot of time the last week. I'm self employed on maternity leave so as it is much more job-ish i need to be careful about not breaking maternity allowance rules or earning enough so i don't mind losing it. I'd like to do a lot more once mat leave is over - I'm freelance so i get quiet weeks and insanely busy weeks so this will fill up my quiet periods, so just need to keep it ticking over.

crazygirluk · 04/03/2019 14:44

I passed the crisp test too. I was sure I failed as I'm sure I missed a few things. Plus my internet started going down the second I started the test. But yay!
