There's a list below of the sites mentioned in the previous thread, hopefully I haven't missed too many, but add anything else you think of.

Looks like I'm nearly there with Appen but
Appen project to choose Hmm Nile, saluda or Tigris. Have an option for truckee but don't have an Instagram account.
Any advice please ???

duffed · 14/02/2019 13:41

ooh ball is rolling with Crisp, just got sent a provisional contract and link to start training before another test.

i just cashed out £35 from swagbucks and £11 prolific - just from surveys in a week.

been selling books and clothes on amazon too.

Otterses · 14/02/2019 14:11

@duffed Shock !!!

I think you're the only one I've ever heard of hearing back!

OP posts:
Otterses · 14/02/2019 14:12

@somewhere78 Nile. Nile ALLLLL THE WAY Grin JOIN MEEEE.

I'm kidding. Apply for the three you can do. I'd leave Trukee tbh. You need a certain number of Instagram followers I believe.

Otterses · 14/02/2019 14:12

Speaking of Nile 😂 I haven't been booted off yet. Does this mean I can stay?

OP posts:
somewhere78 · 14/02/2019 14:24

@Otterses I will take your advice 😊and try for all 3. Exciting times !!

duffed · 14/02/2019 16:00

oh i feel special now! i'm very risk averse. i haven't heard from any appen projects since applying though...

Otterses · 14/02/2019 16:16

@duffed you're incredibly special! A chosen one even. Loads of people never hear anything from them Smile

Leapforce/Appen can take up to 60 days. They're annoying like that.

Can I be really cheeky and ask if they've disclosed the hourly rate?

OP posts:
namechangedforanon · 14/02/2019 16:22

My respondent payment has been approved !

duffed · 14/02/2019 16:28

not yet - i'm at step 1 of induction and i believe i get a schedule/access to info at step 4 if i make it through the test. probably a week away? depends how quickly they email me the next step. will let you know!

Otterses · 14/02/2019 16:44

@duffed ohhhh! It's exciting Grin ! Let us know how you get on.

Is the test anything like the screening test for the application? Or is it more intense?

OP posts:
duffed · 14/02/2019 16:53

i think its a practice run of the job, for 30 mins - so yes similar i imagine? you have to correctly review at least 60 posts in that time.

duffed · 14/02/2019 16:53

but i have up to 5 days to work through the training guides before that

JustLurkingAway · 14/02/2019 17:54

Still waiting for Appen it's only been two days but I'm impatient. Didn't realise you could apply for multiple projects!

reddA · 14/02/2019 18:06

Just catching up, passed part 1 & 2 with Lion bridge but failed the 3rd test, failure email came through as soon as I submitted the test so there is no way they actually look at your reasoning for any of the ratings you give, after spending a whole week - seriously studying it, I won't be reapplying if they email to reapply - I don't trust them, complete waste of time. Will try Appen and others now.

Otterses · 14/02/2019 18:13

FFS.

The go to site for when the cashback is shite Grin I totally forgot about this one.

Otterses may I pick your brains for a minute, please.

I deposited a tenner with betfair because Quidco offered £15 back for doing so.
I'm on Profit Accumulator and their tutorial is instructing to use their site links to Betfair and to Coral and instruct to deposit £5 in each.
Have I messed up before I've began - what happens now?

ChakiraChakra · 14/02/2019 18:43

@TanselleTooTall you don't need to use PA links (in fact, for bookies I definitely wouldn't as if they look at their web traffic and see you came from a MB site, high risk of gubbing) to get bookie offers. Betfair, smarkets and the other exchanges it's fine to use their links, as they don't mind MB (they get their commission money anyway). Some do require you to use a code on sign-up though to get the free bet offers. Did the PA instructions include taking you through a welcome offer on betfair? Did it mention a code?

namechangedforanon · 14/02/2019 19:42

I put £10 into jackpot joy so I get my wagering for the free games, lost it nearly then back up to £18 from playing the double bubble slots ( on 1p = so 20p bet each time ) !

Going to help my friends got onto it this weekend !

Remember :

Coupon Arbitrage for jackpot joy and heart bingo , and you get the welcome offers !

:)

I know a few people who have won !

lazymumsmh · 15/02/2019 09:54

Still no payment from the YSL / Lookfantastic survey on respondent, so I emailed support and got this message:

"Thanks for reaching out and for contacting the researcher about your payment! I'll follow-up with them and see what the delay is, and investigate if there are any processing issues on the back-end.
We'll get this sorted out for you!
Customer Support
Respondent.io"

Now lets see if anything happens.

BlockRockinBeats · 15/02/2019 10:01

@lazymumsmh Good luck!

I still haven't had my report accepted by the YSL researcher! Been declined twice and apparently there is now a fault on the system! I shall email again now.

Not a good start is it? I don't think it is Respondent at fault, I think it is the researcher.

Do you have an email address for Respondent themselves? I have only been in touch with the researcher so far and they have not inspired any confidence whatsoever!

BlockRockinBeats · 15/02/2019 12:44

Has anybody heard of Testable Minds? It's a bit like Prolific Academic in that studies are put on by university students.

Testable Minds is a new platform where researchers from the world's most prestigious universities will recruit participants for their psychological and behavioral experiments. You now have the opportunity to contribute to our quest to understand how the mind works and make some money on the way.

Recruit other active, reliable "minds" and you will be rewarded.

I joined last week and did my first task today. It was only $1.50 dollars but only took ten minutes. They pay via Paypal. Tests seem to come up quite regularly and you get a pop up on your laptop when one does.

You have to verify your ID when you join by submitting photo ID and doing a face recognition thing. It would only work on my laptop, not my phone or ipad so just be aware if you sign up.

I would be grateful if you could use my referral code below. You only get $1.00 for each person you refer and that is only paid when that person cashes out, so we won't get rich from it! Nonetheless the tasks seem quick and fun and it all adds up!

On appen - is it independent contractor as don’t have registered business?

TanselleTooTall · 15/02/2019 14:23

ChakiraChakra
Sorry I saw your message yesterday but couldn't write back sooner.

It was more of a case of, I went ahead with Quidco first and used its link before thinking to read the PA site instructions. I did it the wrong way round. (I got impatient with the rundown on how matched betting works, couldn't get my head round it, so kind of skipped the rest of the instructions and remembered Otterses saying about cashback offers). I don't remember a code but the offer was put in £10 and I'll automatically get so much in free bets.

Sorry to repeat myself, but does this now mean I have to sign up to and deposit ten pounds on Coral? After which, I assume I just need to carry on with following the PA instructions as normal?
