The continuing crusade to expose the underhand tactics used to lure (mainly) women into exploitative schemes using the lure of 'financial independence'.

Didn't she start off with waist trainers?

OP posts:
acatcalledjohn · 18/03/2019 21:22

Yes. It's part of the overall business of Mermology.

Stickmangate · 18/03/2019 21:44

New to these threads. Have read bits here and there find it interesting but don’t know how to find out who is who.

Anyway my question is Limelife a mlm? I’ve joined a fairly large fb group and the products are recommend a far bit. Thanks

Twentytwentyhindsight · 18/03/2019 21:54

Stickmangate - yes, LimeLife (formerly known as LimeLight) is an MLM.

Here is a story by one of their former bots:

Herbashite appear to have taken inspiration from the Messiah- they are now promoting a mint chocolate version of their shakes.

Absolute gem of a post on MLM lies exposed on FB
Mermaid tears is exactly the same as TS Life's Supernova and Acti Labs' hydra slim. The whole Mermology range is the same stock as it is made in TS Life's factory. There's an ingredient list which matches completely.
Mermology range costs slightly more as you get a cute label! I can't believe people are buying it.

9dartfinish2nd · 19/03/2019 13:58

I like the MLM Lies Exposed group for several reasons.

Current active MLM members who post and comment within the group under the logic that their MLM is kosher but all the rest are scams. Grin

It's an open group so anyone involved in MLM who may be having real doubts about what they are involved in can just lurk and hopefully regain their lost critical thinking without having to incur the wrath of fellow huns for posting in what has been labelled a "hate" group.

....and of course Friday, where the moderator approves posts from people who really should have done their research and realised what the sentiment from the majority towards MLM is.

Hunbot · 19/03/2019 18:26

Oh the irony. Sleaze's former company has been outed as a pyramid scan and the top bods arrested. His current one is totally different though

fitgirl26 · 19/03/2019 19:06

I wonder if Sleaze's Facebook break was for him to grow a beard after seeing himself described in here as a "human thumb" 😂

Twentytwentyhindsight · 19/03/2019 19:19

Sleaze's protestations that this was 'before understanding crypto' would carry more weight if his selling line at the time hadn't been about how 'educated' he was about all things blockchain and how others should also 'get educated' by handing their money over to OneCoin...

Saw this an FL bot's (downline I think from Welsh couple now book and business coaches) timeline

If you don't feel like quitting at least 5 times a week then your not working hard enough and if you feel like quitting, congratulations you're on the right track!

Talk about guilting folks into staying in the system..

JasperRising · 19/03/2019 20:01

The problem is that starting your own business is hard and can take a while to get going. And of course there are the high profile business stories out there of genuine millionaires who did nearly fail or have failed previous businesses. But bots fail to realise that there is a difference between working so hard you want to quit in the first months or year and feeling like that when you are three years and still losing money. Plus the difference between feeling like that about a genuine small business and feeling like that when you are a shill for an MLM business model in which most participants never make money....

Hunbot · 19/03/2019 20:08

Oh no. The flp bot with the initials LP (is it homeschool) is selling deoderant with the profit going to a hospice to support her friend who passed from cancer. She hints that her deoderants don't cause cancer (and that therefore others do) . Makes me a bit uncomfortable

notsurewhatshappening · 19/03/2019 20:12

My FL bot does the deodorant charity thing as well. It really doesn't sit right with me. Getting the case credits in even if all profits go to a good cause.

Spongebobette · 19/03/2019 20:23

Urghhhhhh
That whole ‘charity’ think that Forever Living bots do makes me cringe
‘Buy my deodorant and I’ll give the profit to charity look at how lovely I am’

= I need to flog more stuff for the case credits and I am using a charity to guilt trip you into spending your money and helping me

IS IT A BUSINESS OR ARE YOU JUST EXPLOITING FRIENDS AND FAMILY??

Norma27 · 19/03/2019 20:26
  1. What the fuck is going on with yawn’s filters.
  2. What the fuck is that leaflet drop sgevus getting her son to do.

Desperate much! Am absolutely rolling in the floor laughing!

Norma27 · 19/03/2019 20:27

*she is
*on
Hate my big fingers typing on my phone!

BangingOn · 19/03/2019 21:04

Those leaflets are awful. They also have her phone number fully visible.

Norma27 · 19/03/2019 21:13

I didn’t even notice her phone number.
She is absolutely bloody clueless.

Can’t wait to see what her cheque is in Sweden. How many uk cheques do we think there will be this year?

Twentytwentyhindsight · 19/03/2019 21:18

So PhD bot has finally thrown in the towel.

OP posts:
JasperRising · 19/03/2019 22:04

Sounds like she's going to another network marketing company though...

Twentytwentyhindsight · 19/03/2019 22:14

I'm not saying she's seen the light over MLM, just that the arse has so clearly dropped out of FLP UK that senior rats bots are deserting the sinking ship.

OP posts:
Twentytwentyhindsight · 19/03/2019 22:39

It's worth reminding ourselves on what a massacre for the UK the last lot of Global Rally cheques were.

PhD went from $70k the previous year to under $10k (if anything), Yawn from $55k to zilch, same for Homeschool, who had got $105k the previous year. The story was repeated across the board. Only the very top (5 or so) bots made anything worthwhile, and that was seriously down (e.g. Castle down from $416k to $120k), where previously 20 or so got large cheques.

FLP UK's figure have gone even further South since then.

The writing on the wall was clear last April. The very top, Bloodsucker and Uber, will probably receive large, albeit much reduced, cheques, but that will merely be the twitching of a corpse that is already beginning to rot. PhD knows it. The likes of Yawn don't yet, or are kidding themselves that they can reverse the rot by getting their kids to stuff the neighbours' letterboxes with junk mail.

OP posts:
SnoogyWoo · 19/03/2019 23:05

That leaflet is shocking. Really shows the desperation now.

JaniceBattersby · 19/03/2019 23:10

She’ll be the first of many to jump ship. I think Castle and her best mate are close to going. They’ve both been distancing themselves subtly.

I wonder what she’ll do next though? Surely she must realise that the arse has completely dropped out of MLM? She’s no mug.
