The continuing crusade to expose the underhand tactics used to lure (mainly) women into exploitative schemes using the lure of 'financial independence'.

I’m surprised HMRC are letting her pay only £500 per month towards such a huge bill

Whiterangey · 26/02/2019 21:02

I'm guessing she doesn't earn as much as she says she does.

I wouldn't be shocked if uber helped get her the chairman's bonus.

Underhiseye2 · 26/02/2019 21:06

Just wow at tax bill bots companies house and tax history. Thinking she can continue trading while at the same time strike off her company and keep her ill gotten gains free of tax and compliance responsibilities. Love that the strike off was halted, presumably by hmrc, who have gone in hard for the unpaid taxes. Pay attention other Bots!

Basilneedswaterandsun · 26/02/2019 21:16

What does strike off mean? Close your company without paying your debts?

Underhiseye2 · 26/02/2019 21:36

if you’ve got a company that you no longe require because you’ve ceased trading/ closed your business, the correct complaint thing to do, is tie up all your financial affairs - settle all debts, empty bank accounts and close them down, clear hmrc liabilities and get a letter from them that they are happy for your company to be struck off. Then you tell companies house that you’d like the company struck off, ie removed from the register. You certainly can’t keep trading!

I’ll bet tax bill bot thought that as a limited company is a separate legal entity, I’ll close its down and hmrc will have no one to chase for the taxes. But it doesn’t work like that. V v naive to think so.

When you apply to have your company struck off, hmrc are notified. They usually don’t object because the director has already notified them ok advance and sought their confirmation that they have no hmrc liabilities left to settle.

Tax bill bot will probably be in for severe penalties running into 10’s of thousands. Certain penalties are daily so they will just be rolled up from
When the offence occurred.

Bovneydazzlers · 26/02/2019 22:44

I presume she is just continuing operations as a sole trader now. No need to operate as a company.

When a company is liquidated, it means any directors liabilities are limited...unless there is directors loan accounts - this is why whilst the hmrc debt is £115k- the only bit that can be recovered is the £55k. The public tax purse won't see the rest of it.

TheHorseOnSeventhAvenue · 26/02/2019 23:08

Surely there must be some legal route over false advertising, misrepresentation etc. How can you call yourself a business coach and mentor when you cannot even manage your own finances or avoid insolvency and debt .... ? So wrong on so many levels.

Willowsauntie · 27/02/2019 05:10

BBL Bot is now offering beauty therapy treatments and selling clothing to supplement her juiceplus millions.

notsurewhatshappening · 27/02/2019 05:39

BBL also has her own fake tan product.

Whiterangey · 27/02/2019 07:06

Tax Bill bot didn't ask for her company to be struck off, she just didn't submit her latest accounts to companies house as they will strike you off if you don't. That way she was hoping they would just strike her off without noticing she owed the loan account money.

Apparently that used to sometimes work, even if you owed taxes. As has already been mentioned HRMC are more than wise to that now and take action.

ouchiewow · 27/02/2019 07:55

Jesus so I just saw a bot post this shite in a local mum Facebook forum..some sort of hair care not. Nothing like a bit data theft to get you some new recruits!

"Hey tribe, can you spare 5 minutes to help me? I am a women's leadership coach and doing a little bit of market research. You can leave it anonymous, but there is also an opportunity to win free laser coaching session (£157 value).
Here is the link to the survey:"

9dartfinish2nd · 27/02/2019 10:44

When you think about it Companies House records are an absolute godsend to the Anti-MLM movement, these bots have no place to hide and there is no spin that they can put on it to deny the fact that very few people are enjoying the jetset lifestyle portrayed by a lot of these people.
Good to hear HMRC are becoming wise to Network Marketers tactics when it comes thier tax affairs.

Maybe it was "The Universe" that made various bots decide to dissolve thier companies in the hope that the tax man didn't notice.

By all means carry on as a sole trader because the owner is personally liable for any debts or obligations of the business....so good luck when it all goes tits up and your home, car and other possessions disappear.

Whiterangey · 27/02/2019 12:22

Yawn is fad eating again. Just eat for crying out loud without making a huge fuss and making a big deal about it.

Food is essential and as much as I dislike her I wouldn't wish an eating disorder on anyone. I am nervous that her daughter is watching her do this.

As some of you know I have an eating disorder. It's incredibly difficult to put weight on when your relationship with food is so screwed. I have no appetite because I screwed that up and every mouthful of food is a chore. I am way too thin, bones where my curves used to be.

Fad diets where you lose weight and then put it back on will also screw up your relationship with food.

It is much healthier to be overweight than underweight, you look better as well. I look 10 years older.

I know I keep banging on about this but if just one person who is doing some stupid fad diet stops and thinks about what they are really doing to themselves then I'll be happy.

ouchiewow · 27/02/2019 12:34

@Whiterangey eating disorders must be so hard to live with. I really hope you find some peace soon. Eating is such a big part of life, socially as well as for actual health.

As for yawn- perhaps she is an obsessive over-eater? Constantly on the latest fad, proclaiming to need 800 calorie dinners, eating tons and tons of protein, and encouraging people to do the same as her. But any person in their right mind can see that she's not healthy. No big deal if she's overweight, but she can't legitimately think that she's a good role model - unless she really is deluded? Would anybody really think "wow, I gotta eat like her so I can BE like her?"

Whiterangey · 27/02/2019 13:42

Yawn wants a quick fix. She wants to lose weight but doesn't want to work long term at it. So she will do one fad thing after another, losing weight and then putting the weight and more back on when she starts eating 'normally'. Her eating normally involves eating more calories than her body uses so she puts weight on.

Obviously you do have eating disorders where people gain weight and they can't stop eating. I believe these are more common than is believed. Society is biased about those who are heavy, fat and lazy being two words that are often used together. I've known people who have only been able to lose weight after mental health help.

Skinny is the ideal, I've been told I had an amazing figure when I was severely underweight. That shocked me. One of the people who said that was overweight and had an awesome figure.

BangingOn · 27/02/2019 17:54

White thank you for talking so openly on here about your experience with eating disorders. My relationship with food is also completely fucked, however mine is driven by overeating to suffocate feelings. DS’s cancer diagnosis (he’s fine now, thankfully) added 4 stone.

Yawn is also bragging about a meeting to exploit a paramedic. And the hashtag #myunicornlife is ridiculous.

Sunshineandshowers81 · 27/02/2019 18:20

Gosh the clothes that bbl is trying to flog 🤢🤣

notsurewhatshappening · 27/02/2019 18:34

Good lord those clothes are naff. I think she's doing treatments and selling clothes to rope in more suckers to JP. Just imagining as she's scraping the dead skin off their faces, erm sorry derma planing, or when they collect a vile outfit from her house, they are instant prospect marks.

SnoogyWoo · 27/02/2019 20:03

Tax bill bots accounts make grim reading. Really shows that even the top bots just don’t make any money. Makes you feel so angry with them still conning people.

Basilneedswaterandsun · 27/02/2019 20:42

The fact that she only repays £500 means she can’t be making much money. HMRC would surely be all over her wanting the duty ASAFP he she had the cash

Basilneedswaterandsun · 27/02/2019 20:43

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (I’ve namechanged)
Yawn must be literally on her phone ALL THE TIME updating her social media accounts. How the hell does she get anything done!!!

ChakiraChakra · 27/02/2019 21:47

Oh, I have found my people!! 😯

Ex-FLP here, stumbled across this thread by accident. It was maybe 15 years ago now and I'm STILL bitter about having been sold the lie, about being told that it's "legally different, therefore totally different from illegal pyramid schemes". I was sold it as a dream for getting out of a nightmare job. Obviously, it was no such thing. I crashed out fairly quickly as I wouldn't hound my friends and family. I'm still ashamed about those who I did hound.

And I'm still disproportionately p'd off that my upline's upline (who I met several times) contacted me on linked in a few years ago trying to recruit me.... clearly had NO recollection of me, even after telling her. Angry

I still like the products and used to make small purchases whenever I saw them at fayres etc. I dreaded the recruitment pitch, and whatever I tried never managed to prevent it or even foreshorten it. Bizarrely I've now got a "dealer" who I met through our (both, much more successful!) independent self employment. She gets that I don't want to be recruited. Truth be told I think she sees the light, which is why it's only a sidegig for her now ;)

YouokHun · 28/02/2019 08:58

Chakira well done removing yourself and reading these threads will only confirm in spades how awful MLM is and what a wise move you made. I’m hardline so I have to say that the next step is not to support FLP in any way by not buying their over-priced products which really have no special merit over other AV products whatever they say! By purchasing from them we are lining FLP’s pockets and helping to sustain the myth that FLP is an ‘opportunity’.

CurlsandCurves · 28/02/2019 09:27

Chakira you were ‘in’ about the same time I was waves

Don’t know about you, but it all seems a lot more full on and ruthless now than it was back then. Maybe it’s the introduction of social media that takes mlm to a whole new level than I remember it being.

I also see some of the names from the old days still plugging away at it. And now rather than aspiring t9 be like them, I just think how soul destroying it must be to be continually on that hamster wheel, where’s my next prospect, need to keep recruiting, shit someone’s jacked it in that’s another one I’ll have to find. It’s just relentless.

So glad you’ve found us here!

Crackers1428 · 28/02/2019 09:31

My yoga teacher has started to run monthly women's circles. These are events where like minded women can come together to share, talk, listen, witness others and been seen and heard, and be vulnerable in a safe space, whatever they're going through in life. The most recent one was themed around a subject that was particularly difficult for me. I shared a bit but just found it too difficult to talk about. Anyway a lady came up to me halfway through and started chatting, said she thought what I had shared was really courageous etc and did I want to grab a coffee sometime. I don't have many friends so I thought this was really nice, I said to add me on Facebook.....well turns out she's a bloody Arbonne rep and that's why she wanted to go for coffee. I feel so violated that this woman has seen me in my safe space, sharing things that are really difficult for me to talk about and then targeted me for her financial gain based on that. Obviously I told her where to go but I'm still absolutely fuming. Sorry for the rant.
