Anyone up for an earn £10 a day challenge this year?

Otterses · 02/01/2019 08:06

I was wondering if anyone would like to join me Smile truth be told I really need the support!

Having DS has reduced my savings, and ability to save now that I'm paying for childcare. So my aim this year is to make £3650, or £10 a day which sounds far less terrifying.

I just thought this would be a great idea to share ideas for earning extra money and cheering each other on. Way better than just staring at a spreadsheet.

Soooooo here it goes.

Day One - £33.37/3650

£22.87 matched betting, and £10.61 Leapforce.

One of them paid £8, it took 50 mins though.

I now have 11.55 from 5 if they are all approved :-)

CourageCalls · 15/01/2019 17:49

I'm not getting any surveys from prolific have check all the time for the past 5 days! May give up soon Confused

CourageCalls · 15/01/2019 18:17

HEADS UP!!! I have only just started this survey stuff but my email account has been hacked already. I joined loads of sites so not sure which one it is just be aware. I only knew it was happening as my email account sent my mum a page about Jim Davidson getting out of bankruptcy. It can't be a coincidence that I have just started doing this type of online surveys and competitions so stay alert people! Smile

margaritasbythesea · 15/01/2019 18:24

I just got interrupted in the middle of a PA study and then I found I couldn´t get back in. I wrote to the academic to apologise. I am hoping I won´t get some sort of black mark for it.

PartridgeJoan · 15/01/2019 18:29

@WarmHugs this sounds right up my street! Could you also please PM me?

CaitlinsYellowSocks · 15/01/2019 18:40

Thanks for the heads up @CourageCalls - I am thinking of getting a separate email address for all this stuff.

I've finally made some money! £16.75 on OhMyDosh (just need to remember to cancel all those free trials...) and £1.05 on Prolific - clearly I am not meeting the demographics either. Also have sold something for £10 on Gumtree.

I'm going to go through all the money making ideas on moneysavingexpert to see what I can realistically do. Also need to think about taking some more photos to upload to stock sites.

I am on mat leave so it will be in the breaks between looking after children, or online during night feeds - I also want to enjoy my time with them!, otherwise I might as well be at work.

Otterses · 15/01/2019 18:50

Well done @CaitlinsYellowSocks Grin ! Ohmydosh is so satisfying, be really careful about cancelling though. I've forgotten one once an ended up being charged £40 Blushlet us know if you find anything good on money saving expert.

I'm going to try to set a matched bet up for tomorrow. I'm working all day, then I've got an induction for a new volunteering role in the evening, which won't leave me much time for money making. Need to maybe think about having the 'I'm leaving' chat with my manager too really.

Then U-Test Thursday. Will be checking out what users do too.

Oh Grin and as soon as I get on my laptop, I'm going to post my mid month totals off my spreadsheet.

Hi all . Been lurking for a while on this thread. Joined ohmydosh today and made 13 pound so I'm pleased with that :)

Otterses · 15/01/2019 19:06

Hey @AMomHasNoName Smile welcome on board.

I really like ohmydosh. It seems quite good for doing casino offers too. There was one a few weeks ago that was £30 CB for depositing £15 on gala bingo I think it was. Never had a problem with cash back tracking either.

Not heard good stuff about 20 Cogs though, which is meant to be similar.

Wow you seem to be doing so well. I'm really interested in MB but I don't have a clue where to start Blush

svengoren10 · 15/01/2019 22:16

Hi all I've only just found this thread so please may I tag along! Thanks for all the info, just wish I had the time and patience to do all of it. Started MB about 6 months ago but I never really fathomed it out. I've joined 'oh my dosh' and really looks good - only problem is when I go to click on a link it says that I have some sort of ad blocker and won't allow me to follow the link. I'm trying to do it on my phone if that has anything to do with it? Anyone else found this?

thenightsky · 15/01/2019 22:27

Prolific has seized up on me. I got a survey, clicked start, then I got a message telling me to download chrome, which I did and now the site is all greyed out and won't let me return to the study. I can't even sign out and back in. Bugger.

GruffalosOldTrousers · 15/01/2019 22:40

Hello,
Mind if I join you a little late? I have been inspired by all of your posts and decided to join in.
I've made an easy start today by cancelling a Which subscription (signed up for £1 and forgot about it) and another unused direct debit. This has saved me about £30 a month!
I registered for Prolific on Friday bit got nothing until today. I've now done 5, including one which involved looking at hundreds of blue and orange dots for about an hour (!). Just waiting for approval for payment.
I've also just been brave and applied for the purple CV writers role (advertised on workingmums.com). Not really sure about that though.
I'm planning on applying to Leapforce/Appen too and also considering MB, but I'm quite scared!
There are loads of great ideas here so going to look for some other ideas. Thanks OP and everyone else.

Fiddie · 15/01/2019 23:20

Can I join too?

I'm on prolific and do MB and mystery shopping too.

I like the sound of LF/LB but not happy to allow access to my emails. Surely no one would agree to that?

ChakiraChakra · 15/01/2019 23:28

Joining in here myself! Just watching for January really as tax return must be done first but have spent tonight not doing my tax return browsing profit accumulator and very much like the idea of getting into matched betting with a set of tools to make it easy.

CaitlinsYellowSocks · 16/01/2019 05:50

There's a £2 survey on prolific with five places left (assuming you fit demographic - it is a memory test so maybe just for oldies like me) - quite tricky for this time of the morning but will flag anyway...

Mummabear2212 · 16/01/2019 06:01

Been accepted for what Users Do, so hopefully will start making a little money there as well. I always cash £20 out at a time from Prolific and did so yesterday, so starting from £0 again!

JcHcks · 16/01/2019 08:24

How much do you roughly make from Proflic? I'm just looking at signing up now

Mummabear2212 · 16/01/2019 08:40

I tend to make in the region of £20 every 3 weeks or so. Not loads but enough to be worth it. Sometimes its a little quicker/longer depending on if I get any big paying surveys. It is a bit right place at the right time and need to keep checking frequently and refreshing the page as they fill up very quickly.

JcHcks · 16/01/2019 08:46

Thanks mummabear I've just signed up and completed everything so will just have to wait till a survey pops up now.

Fiddie · 16/01/2019 08:48

I haven't used prolific for ages, do they still email invitations to surveys out?

Mummabear2212 · 16/01/2019 10:08

They do email them sometimes, but most of the time you need to be on the page and refresh etc. It is very much right place right time I've found.

Fiddie · 16/01/2019 10:09

@Otterses what work do you have to do for Appen? Is it tricky?

Fiddie · 16/01/2019 10:10

Thanks mamma.

Botanica · 16/01/2019 13:02

Anyone have issues running prolific surveys from mobile devices? I'm annoyed at having to abandon two this morning as the screens didn't work or progress as they should have done...
