Anyone up for an earn £10 a day challenge this year?

Otterses · 02/01/2019 08:06

I was wondering if anyone would like to join me Smile truth be told I really need the support!

Having DS has reduced my savings, and ability to save now that I'm paying for childcare. So my aim this year is to make £3650, or £10 a day which sounds far less terrifying.

I just thought this would be a great idea to share ideas for earning extra money and cheering each other on. Way better than just staring at a spreadsheet.

Soooooo here it goes.

Day One - £33.37/3650

£22.87 matched betting, and £10.61 Leapforce.

If it does work it's fantastic! You're not limited to one account per household for it either by the looks of it, so we could all persuade our DP's etc. To kindly sign up too Smile

@sajack87 just signed up and deposited my £1. Wait and see now.

ChakiraChakra · 20/01/2019 10:51

Quidco - earned cashback of I think £2.30 this morning buying a hole puncher I needed anyway, free postage with my free prime trial (must cancel that actually).

Sajack I've downloaded the app from your link. Going to look into it a bit before I deposit - have they been around a while? I trust ppl on MSE but the thread I saw was only started this month. Might wait until my new account I've opened comes through (this week) to sign up so hopefully that's another layer of protection of bank details.

I've dived into MBing. Started sign up offers on Betfair and Smarkets, hope to start a bookie sign up offer today. I paid £17 for OM membership last night so with that and £70 tied up in the exchanges at the moment on paper I look like I'm down as the I've only done qualifying bets so far 😂

Otterses · 20/01/2019 11:23

@ChakiraChakra my fault, that one! Theres a few threads on MSE Smile they go back to about 2016 I think was the oldest one I looked at.

If you're buying something online today it's worth looking at quidco. They're offering 1.50 cashback on a 1.50 min spend at certain shops incl. Amazon but not ebay.

Third day now with nothing from PA. Anyone noticed a difference after deleting profile info?

Otterses · 20/01/2019 12:37

All done! I'm ridiculously excited to see the value of my share.

Create a Trading 212 Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/ref/3iftIee and we both get a free share!

BetVictor will NOT let me withdraw my winnings for some reason, it keeps crashing. So I'm using a reload offer today to try to hopefully 'win' the winnings to my exchange account.

Currently waiting on DS to wake up from his nap so we can go food shopping, then going to get stuck into some MB this evening.

Online Tutoring sites to look into (I know people working for only the first 3 but I reckon Pearson, Berlitz and EF are probably OK. For many of these, esp the Chinese market, just being a native speaker is enough)
Dada
ITutor
Skins
iTalki
TEFLpa
Palfish
Voxy
LearnLight

Qkids
Gogokid
Cambly
Continuum Education Services
eBerlitz
Lingoda
Pearson
SayABC
NiceTalk
NativeTalk
Golden voice
TutorABC
Tutorful
OpenEnglish
Berlitz
English Hindi
Superprof

I am registered with the first group and get bombarded with offers.

Margaritas- iirc you are in Spain? There was one based in Spain a couple of years ago, can't remember the name. Try tefl.com in the online teaching section- it's a massively growing market.

margaritasbythesea · 20/01/2019 13:38

I was in Spain. I'm now in the UK.

The Spanish ones I'm going for are the es versión of superprofe and tusclasesparticulares.

I'm going to try italki too. Only 15% commission and a fair few services provided for that.

margaritasbythesea · 20/01/2019 13:41

And thanks!

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 20/01/2019 14:04

Good luck!

Well, I just managed to sign up finally to Betfair Italy but at the deposit bit this time, it wouldn't let me. Hmm.

SplitEndsBushyEyebrows · 20/01/2019 19:03

otterses I just used your link (I think!) for Trading 212.

I’ve passed the first two LB exams, going to try and do half of part 3 tonight and tomorrow then I’ll find out on Weds if I’m in, apparently then there’s training workshops to complete before I can start earning. It is a lot of effort!

Somebody asked what it was about - rating search engine results and landing pages in a nutshell!

Does anyone regularly withdraw their MB money or is it a case of leaving it where it is until you’ve made the amount you wanted, then stopping?

Otterses · 20/01/2019 19:19

@SplitEndsBushyEyebrows thank you Grin now put your referral link up before you forget!

OP posts:
Otterses · 20/01/2019 19:21

And @SplitEndsBushyEyebrows well done with your exam! I agree, it sounds like a lot of effort, but long term... imagine nearly an extra £10,000 a year if you do 20 hours a week though Grin from home! In your pants! While watching crap on TV! Bliss.

ChakiraChakra · 20/01/2019 19:49

Ha! Just clawed back the rest of the £5 and a £3 profit from the twatbag casino app (the one where it looked like I had £1000 to withdraw but had to have deposited so I deposited £5... silly me, that then all disappeared). They gave me free spins tonight, more fool them, and I quit while ahead by a small margin 😂 I've got no intention of giving them any more of my money but it will be interesting to see if they send me any more free spins.

Assuming I've got it right I've got a MB profit of £7.13 to come in tonight, my first profit on there so I'm excited!

CarolSpatula · 20/01/2019 21:25

My matched betting was going slowly but well, logged into skybet this evening to use a free bet and it’s not there 😫 I was supposed to have three left and I only got them on Friday so they’ve not run out. Not sure what’s happened, any suggestions?

Still not heard back from the project I applied for on Appen, anyone know roughly how long it takes? Surveys have been sparse/non existent so really keen to have Appen on the go.

Fiddie · 20/01/2019 21:29

Can someone link to the Lionbridge bit where you apply, I can't find anywhere on the site to apply. I click UK but there's no way to apply.

SplitEndsBushyEyebrows · 20/01/2019 23:43

Otterses this is true! It’s a no brainer really, it is a great opportunity to boost income for a year.

Here’s my link to the £1 deposit for a free share scheme, should then be able to sell it for free money, up to £100.

Create a Trading212Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/ref/3ih0ayg and we both get a free share!

Fiddie link to apply to LB application, sorry crap at good links!

Anyone had their free stock yet?

@otterses, no, not yet. Glad it's just £1 I've potentially lost
