MLM Bot Watch 41 - Forever Living charity giving, are MLMers using charities to increase their CC's while making it look like they are being charitable?

Are charities being used by MLMer's to gain CC's, gain new leads, and get rid of stock?

Here is an example of a top Forever Living Business Owner in the UK taking advantage of a charity.

It may look like she is doing something good for the charity but she isn't. The charity will be getting 20% of profits. The business owner, the current UK number 2 in Forever Living, who recently picked up a $420,000 cheque at the Forever Living global rally in Dallas is just getting her Case Credits (CC's) up, and hoping to get new leads to sign up under her.

For everything that she sold Forever Living will have taking the biggest cut, then the business owners upline will have taken a cut, and then the business owner herself. Her profit will be very small and then she was only going to give away to the charity 20% of that. It could be as little as £10, probably a lot less, despite the members of the group spending hundreds of pounds with her. I hope she had the decency to at least add to it. For a 'charity night' where someone who has received multi-million dollars in cheques, and received $420k two months ago you'd expect at least 3 figures to be donated. 20% of her profits from that night will have been ridiculously small.

The charity will be getting even less as you can see she is running special offers which will come out of her profit, reducing the amount available to the charity even more.

As you can see in one of the screenshots someone in the local area of the charity attempted to warn the charity that the business owners motives may not be as charitable as it seems and the business owner wants to take the discussion away from public view, and then deleted the reply instead of giving a reply to show that the poster was wrong. She can't show the poster is wrong as the poster is right so instead chose to make it all go away.

The screenshot of a slide is one used by someone in the business owners downline, who correctly refers to the charity night as 'a launch' which is what it was, it wasn't for charity, it was for the business owner to sell her products and hopefully get some new recruits to her business.

The same business owner last year set up a justgiving page for donations to make up 'Positive Packs' to give to those suffering with breast cancer.

"The cost is 20 pounds which is non profit making and the pack value is worth far more. This will fund a Positive Pack containing Forever Toothgel, Aloe lips, Ever Shield Deodorant, fast break bar and some woolly socks and to every pack I will personally add a heat lotion, an aloe gelly and a herbal blossom tea sachet and an aloe to go."

So the donations will be used by the business owner to buy the items through her own account where she will make a profit from receiving a percentage of what is spent. She will also receive case credits from that. The case credits she received from sending out these Positive Packs will have gone towards her getting the $420k cheque in Dallas in April. So non-profit is not true as the business owner will be profiting in two ways.

The items can also be bought for a LOT less elsewhere, a tube of toothpaste can cost £1 from a supermarket, a stick of deodorant the same. I also wouldn't call toothpaste and deodorant something that anyone pampers themselves with, they are necessities.

The business owner will have used Forever Living products in the bags despite the recipients getting a lot less, and no luxury items, because she benefited herself from doing so. She also would have been able to, and did, use the Positive Packs to advertise Forever Living Products, and at least some of them were given out at a big presentation where the business owner would have been able to present her business opportunity there, some of whom are very vulnerable.

Laughing at sacked Ariix’s status saying “people look at me and say why not me?”

I’ve already been skiing in Austria, on a Yurt holiday in Wales and going 5 star all inclusive in Mexico later on in the year without selling a single pair of shoes or handbag. And I lost my job in July. Yep, I definitely wish I was in your position with no redundancy or tribunal appeal for wrongful dismissal. I wished I was you as I was approached for my next job just weeks later. I’ll definitely wish I was you when the conferences I’m booked on are all paid for without a penny out of my pocket.

I absolutely wish I was you, sacked Ariix. I really do.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 07/08/2018 21:27

I don't know who Sacked Ariix bot is either.

At first I thought it was the one with the English breakfast ingredient as a surname but it's not Confused

I'm so pleased I found this thread. I was so fed up of seeing multiple FL posts on every local group I'm on and then I found you all. I'm so sick of being spammed constantly on their pyramid bollocks. I'm convinced you've mentioned her (and another one I've the misfortune to know). Mrs Stickman and the Devon one.

Many years ago I ran a conference centre, and we were hired by a 'womens networking group'. The networking turned out to be each woman putting in 3k, which would then be doubled/tripled etc from the new recruits they persuaded to join. I've never ever seen women so utterly brainwashed as this lot. They tried to get me in and couldn't see why I wouldn't give them the time of day. They were an absolute classic pyramid scheme, and even had a big poster on the stage showing how the pyramid worked. I often wonder what happened to them (probably lost every penny).

So has Yawn qualified for next year’s rally or not? She said she had ages ago but that letter seems to be encouraging her to get more CC for it?

Roomie sharing pics from her holiday after her night out dancing to Ed Sheeran . Hmmm, think she forgot to mention it was an Ed Sheeran tribute act

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 08/08/2018 08:24

You've got to feel sorry for the poor holiday maker she's befriended by the pool.

I wonder what Roomie's tactics are? Full on direct recruitment attempts "I have an opportunity for you...." ? Subtle product suggestions "ooh you've got a bit of a rash there, I have something that will help"? Get their details quick and befriend them on facebook so you can bombard them, even when back in the UK?

I also wonder at what point the poor victim finds themselves hiding behind pillars trying to dodge her, moving to a different side of the pool/restaurant etc. I bet she'll hit the "unfriend" button as soon as she's safely on her plane home.

Years ago we had a salesman round trying to flog us an overpriced vacuum cleaner. Once he realised we weren't biting he pretended to take a call from his "manager" and loudly exclaimed "What's that? Only ONE more sale and I'm top of the leader board?" 🙄 Yawn's letter reminded me of that. And no we still didn't buy the vacuum cleaner.

Castlebot - managed to get a place to stand up in front of thousands of genuine business owners in Cardiff in a few months. Front row seat for that please, bluffing people in the inner sanctum is one thing, trying to explain to hard working small business owners that a dream board and a positive mindset will make your business successful is another thing.

moose23ishungry · 08/08/2018 10:52

A top FB exec posted this tripe

"
FBO’s are just like farmers. Those who put enough seeds in the ground and nurture regularly, will be able to always harvest something, despite the weather... those who did not... should not blame the weather...
"

Has he ever spoken to a farmer? Like the ones in Australia who are facing a devastating drought? What a bloody twat!

PerryPerryThePlatypus · 08/08/2018 10:56

I wonder what will happen with Truly Scammy Life when September comes and no one wants to buy their snake oil and no one wants to join. I will wait with bated breath.

moose23ishungry · 08/08/2018 10:58

@fromdownwest I would actually pay to watch castlebot embarrass herself, just for shits and giggles!

I’d actually be really interested to see what she says and how her tone differs with a non-MLM audience. Whatever we think of her and FL she has built a successful business and made a lot of money which means she is good at selling product, recruiting and motivating a team. Whilst I don’t expect her to confess the smoke, mirrors and general exploitation of her downline, I’d expect something a lot closer to the truth than dream boards and unicorns.

I’d love to know how many people really are signed up. You’d like to think it was a low number, but I guess if you’re that far down the MLM rabbit hole then his rhetoric could sound appealing.

PerryPerryThePlatypus · 08/08/2018 13:55

A lot of them seem to be former Vida reps. A few of who were fired. From their own business.

Funnily enough I was watching The Mummy last night (with Brendan Fraser not Tom Cruise) and that part where they are all blindly chanting Imotep reminded me of mlm.

Sean1984 · 08/08/2018 14:10

Castle will prob talk her “planner/diary“ biz, not FL i would imagine,FL will prob not even be mentioned , coz everyone in the audience would be throwing their eyes to heaven

Sean1984 · 08/08/2018 17:12

Talk about her* i ment to say

user1484830599 · 08/08/2018 17:17

@peacypops I am absolutely certain Roomie is one of the ones I know!

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 08/08/2018 18:38

This has been a very interesting read. I know 2 MLMs who peddle Nuskin. They are both quite high up the chain, but are having to work harder and harder for their alleged £10k per month income.

ArbunneHun · 08/08/2018 19:00

Oh sod off Yawn, your “office” isn’t better than my office. My office is a real office, in a beautiful regency building, right next to a beautiful park in the centre of London. It has a roof terrace, a subsidised restaurant, free lunch twice a week, free beer and wine after 4 pm each evening, I get paid a guaranteed salary, sick and Holiday pay, health insurance and a generous pension scheme. And best of all, I don’t have to exploit other people to achieve any of this. In fact, quite the opposite.

So no. Your laptop in the garden is not in ANY way better than my office.

Ladiva1971 · 08/08/2018 19:44

Are you recruiting Arbunnehun PM Me Grin

ArbunneHun · 08/08/2018 20:57

I’m looking to mentor just 3 people this month...
