MLM Bot Watch 41 - Forever Living charity giving, are MLMers using charities to increase their CC's while making it look like they are being charitable?

Whiterangey · 27/06/2018 19:38

Are charities being used by MLMer's to gain CC's, gain new leads, and get rid of stock?

Here is an example of a top Forever Living Business Owner in the UK taking advantage of a charity.

It may look like she is doing something good for the charity but she isn't. The charity will be getting 20% of profits. The business owner, the current UK number 2 in Forever Living, who recently picked up a $420,000 cheque at the Forever Living global rally in Dallas is just getting her Case Credits (CC's) up, and hoping to get new leads to sign up under her.

For everything that she sold Forever Living will have taking the biggest cut, then the business owners upline will have taken a cut, and then the business owner herself. Her profit will be very small and then she was only going to give away to the charity 20% of that. It could be as little as £10, probably a lot less, despite the members of the group spending hundreds of pounds with her. I hope she had the decency to at least add to it. For a 'charity night' where someone who has received multi-million dollars in cheques, and received $420k two months ago you'd expect at least 3 figures to be donated. 20% of her profits from that night will have been ridiculously small.

The charity will be getting even less as you can see she is running special offers which will come out of her profit, reducing the amount available to the charity even more.

As you can see in one of the screenshots someone in the local area of the charity attempted to warn the charity that the business owners motives may not be as charitable as it seems and the business owner wants to take the discussion away from public view, and then deleted the reply instead of giving a reply to show that the poster was wrong. She can't show the poster is wrong as the poster is right so instead chose to make it all go away.

The screenshot of a slide is one used by someone in the business owners downline, who correctly refers to the charity night as 'a launch' which is what it was, it wasn't for charity, it was for the business owner to sell her products and hopefully get some new recruits to her business.

The same business owner last year set up a justgiving page for donations to make up 'Positive Packs' to give to those suffering with breast cancer.

"The cost is 20 pounds which is non profit making and the pack value is worth far more. This will fund a Positive Pack containing Forever Toothgel, Aloe lips, Ever Shield Deodorant, fast break bar and some woolly socks and to every pack I will personally add a heat lotion, an aloe gelly and a herbal blossom tea sachet and an aloe to go."

So the donations will be used by the business owner to buy the items through her own account where she will make a profit from receiving a percentage of what is spent. She will also receive case credits from that. The case credits she received from sending out these Positive Packs will have gone towards her getting the $420k cheque in Dallas in April. So non-profit is not true as the business owner will be profiting in two ways.

The items can also be bought for a LOT less elsewhere, a tube of toothpaste can cost £1 from a supermarket, a stick of deodorant the same. I also wouldn't call toothpaste and deodorant something that anyone pampers themselves with, they are necessities.

The business owner will have used Forever Living products in the bags despite the recipients getting a lot less, and no luxury items, because she benefited herself from doing so. She also would have been able to, and did, use the Positive Packs to advertise Forever Living Products, and at least some of them were given out at a big presentation where the business owner would have been able to present her business opportunity there, some of whom are very vulnerable.

A few years ago my botted friend had an online party. I was naive and was interested in the aloe goop. As a primary teacher with 2 young DCS who was overfed abtibiotics in the 1980s I was interested in boosting my immunity. Once I expressed an interest in was inundated with messages from bots promising xyz. It didn't sit well with me so I withdrew contact but I didn't smell a rat as in, know the full mlm story for a while after. It is so clever and so fascinating how they reel in educated, aavvy women so easily.

Norma27 · 14/07/2018 19:26

People were ‘winning’ those terrible aloe deckchairs. Ha ha. Forever shite does manage to make me laugh.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 14/07/2018 19:41

Second prize would be two of those deckchairs...

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 14/07/2018 20:53

I've just seen this photo from today's Success Day.

That's the sound and lighting desk on the right, usually located at the back of the room. That looks like a pretty small room and there are rows of empty seats.

I predict Success Days will soon be held in a room upstairs above a small backstreet pub.

Ha!!!

worcestersauce29 · 14/07/2018 21:22

that picture makes me very happy :)

CurlsandCurves · 14/07/2018 21:58

Jeez when I was botted the Telford centre was absolutely full to capacity, every time.

Just wondering. Does Barry the Book still have a stall? And does he do every mlm?

Spongebobette · 14/07/2018 22:12

Who is Barry the Book??

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 14/07/2018 22:23

From the sounds of it barry the Book is either botted to the hilt and has been brainwashed by every MLM going or he's a very astute business man who knows that bots will buy anything to do with mindset, law of attraction and anything of that ilk.

CurlsandCurves · 14/07/2018 22:34

This is him. Just jogged my memory. He must be making a fortune
Google ‘knowledge is king’ or ‘Barry the book’

Twentytwentyhindsight · 14/07/2018 22:36

That's another hidden cost - my OH would come back from these things with £100 worth of generic crappy 'mindset' books, each promising to unlock the secrets to shitting gold bars.

Never managed to get past the first page of any of that cultish bollocks.

Eric Whore seemed to be a particularly active parasite hovering around MLMs to peddle his brainwashing.

Whiterangey · 14/07/2018 23:10

Do you know what I did today?

Absolutely nothing, not a thing.

I still made more money than 99.9% of those at success day. I haven't earned anything today but i've lost less than they have, and I lost £2 by buying a lottery ticket.

I didn't get an aloe deckchair though, which is obviously a good thing.

The UK manager was pushing tickets last night, which makes sense seeing the photo of the venue and the lack of victims there.

It's all but over for Forever in the UK. Some of the bigger bots will only get cheques next year if they 'buy' them. 'Buying downline' buying products themselves and off others but in others names so it looks like their downline are doing better than they are.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 14/07/2018 23:17

Yawn is disgusting. She's posted a photo of herself with a twee sign she forgot to give her new Manager, and is pulling what she's called her 'spaz face'. She really is vile.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 14/07/2018 23:32

You've gotta love it when someone comments on a bots post and says what you're thinking.

After Roomies rant about traffic jams heading to Devon (no shit, traffic in Devon in the summer hols?!) she's now ranting about the noise from the pub a couple of doors down from her house. Someone has dared state the obvious about it being a Saturday night and she bought a house virtually next door to a pub so what does she expect !

I expect the rant will disappear by the morning. After all, can't have anything on your page that shows life is anything less than idyllic eh?!

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 14/07/2018 23:34

Let's hope someone pulls Yawn up on her vile phrase too.

Paddy1234 · 14/07/2018 23:38

I absolutely loathe anyone using that word. Not surprised that she finds it acceptable and amusing.
Anyone working in the learning disability sector is genuinely hurt that seemingly educated adults continue to use it.
I am an adult and do swear but some words are no go areas and that is one of them.

Whiterangey · 15/07/2018 00:01

Spaz face?

What an absolutely vile bullying piece of shit she is.

Not acceptable.

Could I ask a favour please? I think i've screenshotted correctly, I know it's easier on a phone than it is on a computer, and i'm on a computer, but just in case.

Also, what is the best way to contact forever living?

OP posts:
Whiterangey · 15/07/2018 00:37

@Paddy1234 Everyone knows the word is offensive, just like the R word is also offensive.

Yawn knows it's offensive, she must do, she just doesn't care.

"The ‘spaz’ face .... I can’t textualise the noise to go with it" We all know exactly the noise she means.

Yes, she is mostly being offensive against those with severe cerebral palsy, but also anyone with severe physical or learning disabilities.

I have very personal reasons why I am personally offended by her words and photo, hence why I will be contacting Forever Living because this is not acceptable.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 15/07/2018 00:50

I've screen shot it as well.

moose23ishungry · 15/07/2018 00:54

@Whiterangey I think the "Forever Living Products, UK" Facebook page with the tick would be ok as that's their official marketing page?

moose23ishungry · 15/07/2018 03:40

Page 3 from the anti bullying alliance.. a list of offensive bullying terms includes the word "spaz". Surely stamping out these bullying terms would be one of yawn's biggest campaigns?

Whiterangey · 15/07/2018 03:44

I have posted, it said those who manage the page will review my post.

She has over 7000 follows, as well as those who are her facebook friends, it's hidden, but i'm guessing close to 5000.

Her extensive downline will be all in awe of her, and they will see that and think it's acceptable.

Whatever we think of her, she is big in forever living and has a lot of reach. She has represented them at many events, being invited tot represent them on stage many times, and has been part of the global leadership team.

That face she made was upsetting, and then she went and confirmed who she was mocking by using the word 'spaz' and talking about the noise that goes with it.

This isn't about MLM's, this isn't about Yawn, my actions would be the same no matter who did something like this.

I am genuinely upset for many reasons, some personal.

I also know someone who does 'that' face, makes 'that' noise and who is close to death, it's very horrific and there is absolutely nothing funny about it.

OP posts:
Norma27 · 15/07/2018 04:12

The disgusting comments were not on her status earlier. I was disgusted enough by the face earlier. She really is vile.
One of her bots talks about them being a ‘special’ team too which has a second meaning I believe given the context of the post.
Utterly vile people. I have screenshot pic and comments if you do need them for the complaint.

Tizzlebizzle · 15/07/2018 06:19

The bot who posted about the face and laughed along appears to be doing an EYFS course. Not the sort of person I want influencing the next generation.

user1479228519 · 15/07/2018 07:20

I’ve seen the video that has been mentioned about the termanly ill lady in the stage at success day.
My heart sank. Being an ex fbo myself I know that the Willable income claims are not as straightforward as they are promised.

Whilst I’m all for a positive outlook, this does not sit well with my morals and im shocked that someone has recruited this lady who is so vulnerable and for the heartbreaking reason of a willable income that will never materialise in the way she expects.

Fl have sunk to an all time low with this. And using it as a pr tool is sick.
