MLM Bot Watch 41 - Forever Living charity giving, are MLMers using charities to increase their CC's while making it look like they are being charitable?

Whiterangey · 27/06/2018 19:38

Are charities being used by MLMer's to gain CC's, gain new leads, and get rid of stock?

Here is an example of a top Forever Living Business Owner in the UK taking advantage of a charity.

It may look like she is doing something good for the charity but she isn't. The charity will be getting 20% of profits. The business owner, the current UK number 2 in Forever Living, who recently picked up a $420,000 cheque at the Forever Living global rally in Dallas is just getting her Case Credits (CC's) up, and hoping to get new leads to sign up under her.

For everything that she sold Forever Living will have taking the biggest cut, then the business owners upline will have taken a cut, and then the business owner herself. Her profit will be very small and then she was only going to give away to the charity 20% of that. It could be as little as £10, probably a lot less, despite the members of the group spending hundreds of pounds with her. I hope she had the decency to at least add to it. For a 'charity night' where someone who has received multi-million dollars in cheques, and received $420k two months ago you'd expect at least 3 figures to be donated. 20% of her profits from that night will have been ridiculously small.

The charity will be getting even less as you can see she is running special offers which will come out of her profit, reducing the amount available to the charity even more.

As you can see in one of the screenshots someone in the local area of the charity attempted to warn the charity that the business owners motives may not be as charitable as it seems and the business owner wants to take the discussion away from public view, and then deleted the reply instead of giving a reply to show that the poster was wrong. She can't show the poster is wrong as the poster is right so instead chose to make it all go away.

The screenshot of a slide is one used by someone in the business owners downline, who correctly refers to the charity night as 'a launch' which is what it was, it wasn't for charity, it was for the business owner to sell her products and hopefully get some new recruits to her business.

The same business owner last year set up a justgiving page for donations to make up 'Positive Packs' to give to those suffering with breast cancer.

"The cost is 20 pounds which is non profit making and the pack value is worth far more. This will fund a Positive Pack containing Forever Toothgel, Aloe lips, Ever Shield Deodorant, fast break bar and some woolly socks and to every pack I will personally add a heat lotion, an aloe gelly and a herbal blossom tea sachet and an aloe to go."

So the donations will be used by the business owner to buy the items through her own account where she will make a profit from receiving a percentage of what is spent. She will also receive case credits from that. The case credits she received from sending out these Positive Packs will have gone towards her getting the $420k cheque in Dallas in April. So non-profit is not true as the business owner will be profiting in two ways.

The items can also be bought for a LOT less elsewhere, a tube of toothpaste can cost £1 from a supermarket, a stick of deodorant the same. I also wouldn't call toothpaste and deodorant something that anyone pampers themselves with, they are necessities.

The business owner will have used Forever Living products in the bags despite the recipients getting a lot less, and no luxury items, because she benefited herself from doing so. She also would have been able to, and did, use the Positive Packs to advertise Forever Living Products, and at least some of them were given out at a big presentation where the business owner would have been able to present her business opportunity there, some of whom are very vulnerable.

Hmmm. So Broke's Ex, Salon's Ex BFF, Ex LTW, Ex Traffic Monsoon, Ex Valentus, Ex Edinar, Ex Lean Java Bean, Ex Usi-tech Bot is now looking for a part time J.O.B. Not because she needs the money. Oh no no no. Her Downline's cash has been diligently spent on hot tubs and cruises. But it appears her "Anywhere Office"is actually a bit boring....

fitgirl26 · 11/07/2018 21:48

And despite her assurances that NWM pays for her lifestyle she's made it very clear that she won't do volunteer work.

Whiterangey · 11/07/2018 23:02

She must be deeply in the shite. She was selling her car last month and now looking for a J.O.B.

I love how volunteering is no good but she doesn't want the J.O.B to earn money, just to get out the house, but only income earning things are wanted.

Didn't she get a sizeable inheritance that she has been using to pay for her fancy lifestyle?

Twentytwentyhindsight · 11/07/2018 23:12

Thought it was salon that got a large inheritance, and Broke's ex wooed him with a redundancy payoff.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 11/07/2018 23:29

Looks like the redundancy package has run out...

Whiterangey · 12/07/2018 03:04

I knew she had some kind of windfall, didn't know it was redundancy. Must have been a huge chunk of change. I wonder where she will end up working?

I wonder what she will put on her CV to explain the missing years where she hasn't worked. 'Losing money in Ponzi schemes' isn't going to look good.

SSDGM · 12/07/2018 05:02

There was a large redundancy package, plus she was one of the bots who did get in early with bitcoin and made a decent amount from that, which she promptly spent on a holiday to Florida (fair play, her money to spend - however I can’t understand why people pay £2k+ a seat each for upper class when it’s only 10 hours) . As we know, the bitcoin goose stopped laying golden eggs soon after and Lean Java Bean fell on its arse after the Xerveo merger/ Valentus court case.
Broke’s ex then hinted massively she had a new product that would blow all minds but it’s just not arrived.
Same with Cocko. Lots of hints, no actual income. I believe her husband is a high earner and the trinkets and cars all come from his earnings.

Lipbot and her fiancé Porsche are well out of MLM, have been for months. So is carplan bot.

My ex-Acti ex- Vida ex- Acti ex- Smile Network Bot has cleansed her friend’s list of all MLM people and is now “building her career” in the care industry.

fitgirl26 · 12/07/2018 07:13

Yes I remember she took redundancy sacked the boss and there were many posts showing off the subsequent luxury lifestyle that redundancy MLM was paying for. I also remember her and Salon posting on the Botwatch Facebook page boasting about how well they were doing in LTW and Traffic Monsoon and we all know how that ended. She's mentioned many times that she's a qualified teacher though - surely she would be able to get a job in a school easily?

fromdownwest · 12/07/2018 11:04

Very long (part) time lurker here. Brief history.

Introduced to FL through a friends wife. Over the period of a couple of months saw a complete and utter transformation of a woman into a person who we would not invite out anymore on couples nights, as if she wasn't recruiting, she would be selling the benefits of the gloop.

Sadly in the end, we all cut her out, or more like she cut us haters out. She is still pushing it, and I know for a fact that her husband's credit card is carrying the burden, as is he.

I'm not one for the day to day gossip of she said, he said. More of the overall stance that this industry is fundamentally wrong, I have stopped doing networking events, as more and more were filled with MLM and more recently business coaches.

I have been self employed for 6 years now in a professional industry, and let me tell you, it aint lap tops in the sun. Its endless attempts to gain clients, its long drives, its sleepless nights, its NO money. I have never taken a selfie with a client in a cofee shop to show the amazing job I am doing? Its madness

The income - why oh why, post your income. My clients would be mortified, (and me struck off) if i listed my billable's on the internet for all to see how much I earn. It's crass and desperate.

There we go 4 years in 1 post

fromdownwest · 12/07/2018 11:11

CDB Oil - I think people need to be careful to disregard the benefits of this oil, just because it is linked to a MLM.

I use it twice a day for back pain from my rugby career, and it works wonders for me.

I however researched, it and went with a UK based company that gross its own organic plants, and has clear extraction process.

They are not all bad

cozietoesie · 12/07/2018 14:41

Thanks for that, from. Smile

Norma27 · 12/07/2018 18:23

Yawn’s husband in the background looking gormless again,
I think he realises the end is nigh and is so embarrassed to carry on the shite facade.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 12/07/2018 19:09

I don't know what he's got on that hanger but it sure as hell isn't going to fit either of them, C9 or not!

GoldenKelpie · 12/07/2018 19:11

It's desperately sad, from, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. Thanks for posting your experience.

SSDGM · 12/07/2018 19:48

FM bots who compare their fragrances to designer ones are doing a heckin’ naughty and they are totally against compliance. Also this DROM factory they keep on about? No association at all.

Oops.

CheekySmile · 12/07/2018 19:49

Sounds like you fit the profile that the Avon rep is targeting Whiterangey. You can pay to place an ad midway through any video, it’s the person watching that’s targeted, not they kind of video.

Next time you see a FB as you can tap the 3 dots at the top right of it and choose ‘Why am I seeing this?’ and it will show you some of the targeting options that the person placing the ad chose.

CheekySmile · 12/07/2018 19:52

Actuallly @Whiterangey if you can remember the name of the page that was running the ad, Facebook has a new feature that lets you see the ads they are currently running. On mobile just visit the Facebook page and just under the header picture is a little ‘i’ Button that expands to become ‘info and ads’. On desktop it’s in the menu on the left hand side.

Bovneydazzlers · 12/07/2018 22:35

Younique obviously struggling... reduced starter kit this week to £51.75.
Some of the stock you would usually get is out of stock, so you get some lipsticks in the colours no one wants for free!! (Marketed as an amazing deal of course).

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 12/07/2018 22:36

How can it be financially viable as a lowly bot to drive over 4 hours each way and stay overnight in a hotel just to show your business to someone and train some team members (when you probably "train" them on line every week anyway Hmm

Is that desperation that I can smell?

Happypuppy · 12/07/2018 23:09

@kenny , are you talking about Roomie?

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 12/07/2018 23:28

Yep.

I hate to think what her annual fuel bill is. She drives miles. I bet she never takes it into account (together with the wear and tear plus increased mileage on her car) when she works out her "income".

Twentytwentyhindsight · 12/07/2018 23:50

According to my calculations, that's 236 miles and 4 hours on the road each way.

If I have to travel for my biz, I charge travelling time (9 hours round trip) + mileage @ 45p a mile = £212 round trip.I also expect accommodation to be paid or reimbursed.

So far, roomie is probably not far off £500 in the hole for a 'business launch'.

fitgirl26 · 13/07/2018 09:03

If one of my participants asked me to be photographed drinking a load of Aloe Gloop before teaching a class the answer would probably not be "yes ok".

Whiterangey · 13/07/2018 15:06

I'm not having much luck with the ad thing. I can't find the button to press to see why they are suggesting the ads they are giving me.

I keep having a forever living ad pop up, starring bloodsucker of all people, that is obvious, my search history caused that. I've just had a bingo ad???? It was only on for 3 seconds so didn't have a chance to press anything. Well over a year ago I looked into bingo addiction, there are lots of sites online where you can play bingo and lose a substantial amount of money.

I looked at lots of bingo sites and their introductory offers, which look fantastic and a great deal as they will give you free money to play with. I worked it out that to withdraw anything you win with your free money you have to upload hundreds of pounds of your own money and gamble with that as well.

It's similar to MLM in that the house always wins.

I wonder if my advertising is pointing to me being interested in work at home schemes and trying to make money without putting any effort in.

It seems the adverts in videos you can't see why they have been shown, the normal adverts which appear in my timeline are mostly based on my age and that I like online shopping.

Whiterangey · 13/07/2018 16:05

Yawn's 12 year old daughter has obviously drawn a picture of Yawn in her diary, probably because she spends more time looking in that thing and 'working her bizniz' than she does with her daughter.

She's just used the picture but saying it looks like a new recruit and that her and her daughter must have attracted the new recruit to them because of the drawing.

Two of my children are budding artists. I can't keep all of their drawings with me, that would be ridiculous. So I take photos of them and show them to absolutely everyone, they go on facebook, they get emailed, I brag, I brag a lot.

Passing off a drawing your child did of you to make it sound like it's some kind of spiritual law of attraction shite makes me sad.
