MLM Bot Watch 40 - Forever Living is 40! Yet still 99% of people in all MLM's lose money

Not making money with Forever Living?

Not making money with any MLM?

How to make money with Forever Living?
How to make money with MLM?

Maybe this report done for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) by Jon M. Taylor, MBA, Ph.D., of the Consumer Awareness Institute may have the reason why.

www.ftc.gov/sites/default/files/documents/public_comments/trade-regulation-rule-disclosure-requirements-and-prohibitions-concerning-business-opportunities-ftc.r511993-00008%C2%A0/00008-57281.pdf

When someone urges you to join an MLM in their downline with tales of the riches you can earn, all they are trying to do is use you to earn themselves more money. They know the stats, they know you won't make money and you will lose money, and friends.

They will lovebomb you, be your best friend, be all over you and then drop you like a stone.

Look at the person who is your uplines facebook. See how the people who were tagged in her statuses a year ago the same way you are tagged now are doing. Are they still with the company? Many won't be. Those who are will still not be doing well, exactly the same as a year ago, or two years ago.

If you are in Forever living, check facebook for the global rally cheques of your upline, notice how they have been going down year on year? The market reached saturation point in 2015, it's downhill since then and things will get worse, not better.

Most MLM's in the UK are at the same point, we are not a huge country and MLM's have reached saturation point.

Thanks @Spongebobette a family
Member has just launched this and is trying to convince me to go for it.
It’s apparently
“Not a pyramid scheme” and she has not had to make any downpayment for expensive samples. No one gets a cut from her sales...

If it’s so great why is it not on the high street.

Normallylurking87 · 31/05/2018 20:25

Hi,

Long time lurker on this thread and admirer of all your efforts to stop MLMs.

I have a juice plus bot on my Facebook who is marketing the capsules to pregnant women. Does anyone know if they are harmful? Can I report the post to Facebook and get it taken down or are they actually ok health wise? (Although far from the wonder pills they’re made out to be!)

Thanks

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 31/05/2018 20:29

They should be called Vulture Managers instead of Eagles Grin

entrepeneur · 31/05/2018 20:30

@Normallylurking87 You could try reporting to FB but there rarely take stuff down. I've reported a few FB raffles as I understood those to be illegal but they never take those down.

cozietoesie · 31/05/2018 20:33

So you have to flog your guts out, for ever. Dora?

rainbowfudgee · 31/05/2018 20:48

Please could somebody pm me the names of yawn, messiah, broke and salon? I've worked out castle ... thank you!

The Dallas rally looked so incredibly boring. It went on for hours and hours.

My friend got sucked into FL and now has 'scaled back and just buys the product for myself and a few regular clients'. Is this even possible? Don't you have to do a certain number of CCs to remain active?

cozietoesie · 31/05/2018 20:54

It sounds as if they're on the way out?

Check out this Financial Times article about Stella and Dot and MLMs in general. Timeless Vie and the anti-MLM coalition get a mention. What do we think about Stella and Dot boasting about previous years' profits but refusing to talk about how the company is doing now?

cozietoesie · 31/05/2018 21:27

As I thought.

cozietoesie · 31/05/2018 21:29

I would have to ask 'Why?', Toobusy. Grin

BSintolerant · 31/05/2018 22:16

Thank you for the heads up

Here's a link to the FT article for non-subscribers: www.ft.com/content/d4bb0690-3e42-11e8-bcc8-cebcb81f1f90

BSintolerant · 31/05/2018 22:18

That's weird - it's the same link but it wouldn't let me in first time round. The MLM Gremlins must be onto me ... Grin

cozietoesie · 31/05/2018 22:22

I got in first time. Smile

BSintolerant · 31/05/2018 22:28

It's only a matter of time before they come for you Cozie, with their screwed up little faces, narc eyebrows, and ghostly cheques! Shock

TrippleFlappyDiamondSparrow · 31/05/2018 22:41

@normallylurking87 I am sure they are NOT safe. I have seen before that they contain hella amounts of Vitamin A which in high doses i'm sure is not safe. Report the post to juice plus compliance team and facebook. Also if you can be bothered - send a complaint to your local trading standards. Medical claims etc are a big NO NO.

cozietoesie · 31/05/2018 22:44

Ouch! Grin

Toobusytowee · 31/05/2018 23:05

BS, I got in first time but then got the subscription message. I got in again using a different device. I wonder if you are allowed a certain number of views before you have to subscribe? Anyway, I went out and bought a paper copy so I can keep it forever.

NormallyLurking87, the NHS guidelines say that pregnant women shouldn’t take any supplements that include vitamin A. Juice Plus has vitamin A in it. I have had many arguments with the reps and they saybit is the type of vitamin A that is ok for pregnant women. However, the packaging doesn’t say which type it is. Whatever type of vitamin A it is though, I would be inclined to follow the NHS advice.

cozietoesie · 31/05/2018 23:22

I would agree, Toobusy. (About the number of visits.)

BSintolerant · 31/05/2018 23:31

I followed the link the first time and got in the second time when I googled Financial Times Stella & Dot.

It's such tacky jewellery - total schmuck. I love the way DotBot fudged the reason for the lack of financial disclosure towards the end of the article. There's another entry on the MLM Bingo card!

Sean1984 · 01/06/2018 00:09

Has broke taken down that news paper heading about oil curing cancer!!! Hes a great fella for putting up shite and deleting it soon after.!!

Normallylurking87 · 01/06/2018 03:02

Thanks for the advice, I’ve attempted to report the post to Facebook (it wouldn’t let me write about why I was reporting it so I don’t think it’ll go very far unfortunately) and I’ll report to the juice plus team as well, and look into trading standards. It’d be awful if anyone was taken in by it.

Whiterangey · 01/06/2018 04:06

Like @BSintolerant I couldn't read the article from the link, followed her advice and googled the headline and got in that way, which doesn't make any sense at all but it works.

I haven't heard anything good about the jewelry itself, many reports about the quality and how easily it breaks. It appears to be cheaply made tat just to have a product.

That was a good article.

What is Castle up to?

She has posted asking where people would like to go on a free holiday and that your answer may help you achieve your dream but it's all hush hush at the mo.

Is Forever moving into the travel agent business like Ariix have?

Or is it just a load of bollocks to try and get more sign ups who she is going to tell can earn themselves a trip to the global rally each year.
