36 Lies to reel you in...

  1. They will tell you that you will have time freedom in this business. Two weeks later they will tell you the business won't work unless you do.

When it's a business event they will not accept excuses for you missing it and will set an example by missing their child's first birthday or telling you a story of how they once shit themselves in white trousers on the front row at success day because they were poorly but didn't want to miss it.... You will know quickly that the unspoken rules is 'no excuses on success day's.

Is this the nonsense about Cadbury removing the word ‘Easter’ from their Easter egg packaging in case it offends people? Except they haven’t and most Easter eggs don’t say Easter anywhere on the box in the first place.

fitgirl26 · 25/02/2018 21:07

@entrepeneur - glad I'm not the only one!
@Whiterangey - seriously. So much stupid!

Forgot to mention that I caught up with Rasherbot's Live about the amaaaaaaazing Ariiiiiiiiiiiix announcement whilst I was in the bathroom earlier. Yup. Travel.

fitgirl26 · 25/02/2018 21:09

@BangingOn - in a nutshell. I have photos I took in Tesco of Cadbury Eggs with the word Easter on but nope. The pesky Mooselimbs stole Easter.

BangingOn · 25/02/2018 21:14

@fitgirl26 it’s craziness, utter craziness.

My husband tends to back away nervously whenever I talk about these topics too.

entrepeneur · 25/02/2018 21:21

I am pleased to say my 9 year old has been fully briefed on MLM scams and knows to look the other way if she ever sees an MLM sales rep role dressed up as a legit job opportunity.

So it's travel, eh? How disappointing! Even Brokebot was peddling that business ages ago! In fact he's been in it for a fortnight so he'll be crashing and burning in about a week's time before he blunders onto the next Big Thing to find his ailing coffee biz

Bovneydazzlers · 25/02/2018 21:21

Number 2 wasn’t at the Success day. As she was building her business in Africa as it’s clear to them Uk is a declining market.

I’ve seen some posts about the charity work in Africa, totally detracting from the fact that these top bots are personally and knowingly culpable of sending thousands of people in Africa (more) into poverty. At least in the UK there is some sort of safety net for those at rock bottom. They are fully aware of the failure rate of bots and still pushing these CCs despite knowing its some people’s life savings and worth a months salary (or more). No charity work will be able to make up for this, in my eyes.

Livelounge · 25/02/2018 21:32

I am raging about the, "I want a cat NOW" stuff. Cats and dogs can make good companions, but it's a risk. Ugh the instant gratification never stops.

ArbunneHun · 25/02/2018 21:40

I’m confused about the travel thing. I’m no expert, but I do know that travel agents really don’t make huge mark-ups - 10-15%? So is this travel system really such a big deal if it’s only a 10% discount on the high st? And the Disney example quotes turned out just to be park tickets & hotel, no flights & transfers...

What am I missing here?

Whiterangey · 25/02/2018 21:44

Only the strongest curse words will do for anyone 'recruiting' in the third world. It is absolutely disgusting. As you said @Bovneydazzlers we at least have a safety net, in Africa they don't.

Is it possible for someone to publicise this a bit to name and shame both the Bot and FLP?

Getting rich by taking the food out of someones mouth makes you despicable, which is what she is doing.

How can she sleep at night?

Spongebobette · 25/02/2018 21:50

@livelounge ah but if you’ve put something on your Dreamboard or Goalboard or whatever they call it then you have to have it!!

Whiterangey · 25/02/2018 21:55

She obviously forgot to put morals on there.

entrepeneur · 25/02/2018 22:32

@ArbunneHun The travel deal that Baconrasherbot talked through makes no sense. It also seems like gross misrepresentation that her price of £300 doesn't include the four star hotel she mentioned. I think she mentioned it includes flights too but perhaps she was ambiguous about that.

I can't for the life of me see why she was crying over this amazing new offering from Ariix. Hardly worth shedding tears over, is it?

Livelounge · 25/02/2018 23:02

@spongebobette my dream board involves laughing my arse off at the bargain basement bonus cheques in April.

entrepeneur · 25/02/2018 23:10

@Livelounge £20 Photoshopped cheques printed on A4 paper on an inkjet printer are an embarrassment to share on Facebook, surely?

Jonsey32 · 25/02/2018 23:28

What does the cc thing mean with FL?
So if someone has qualified with 7.5k cc - what does that actually mean?

BSintolerant · 25/02/2018 23:30

user1479228519 Was FL really playing the music to The Greatest Showman at the Success Built on others' Misery Day?

Was FL being ironic in its choice of music, or has it shot itself in the hoof? After all, PT Barnum was an exploitative conman who said, "There's one born every minute". Who knew they'd all be in the same arena worshiping Sexy Rexy from afar in the aloe circus.

Will the next one be held at the Doncaster Carvery, or whatever it is? 🤣

Whiterangey · 26/02/2018 00:04

Given that all the UK bots have qualified with far less CC's than last year, and last year was less than the year before, that alone will bring down their cheques.

As we know from companies house, FLP UK has had a very sharp decrease in profits. As the UK was their biggest market, although I believe it's now number 2, i'm guessing profits are down globally. Given that the chairman's bonus involves a certain percentage of company profits being distributed among all those eligible, there will be less to start with to distribute, so the cheques will be less because of that, and less still due to less CC's.

I imagine that the top bots are desperately hoping for good cheques, and some of them have their homes riding on receiving good cheques. I hope they have been practicing their fake smiles, so when they get rubbish cheques they still look cheerful.

Yawn has been hustling her backside off this year, hustling like crazy, she couldn't have hustled any harder. Considering she is only 15th this year shows how much signups must have dropped.

She used the excuse last year that she she got a reduced cheque as she moved and was renovating her house, this year she has had nothing to impede her hustling, so it will be interesting to see what is said.

Unless forever decide to bump the cheques up to make it look like they are doing better as a company than they are to encourage more sign ups, although I can't see them giving away money like that.

SSDGM · 26/02/2018 07:48

Travel. Again. In a market with sod all margin and unless they’ve struck deals that not even the likes of Tui or Thomas Cook can get with airlines, you know, massive international companies with immense distribution platforms they are absolutely fucking not going to be “cheaper than online or anywhere”.

SSDGM · 26/02/2018 08:37

Seriously, if anyone reading this is from Ariix I would love them to explain how this new “business” works. Who’s their consortium? And if no consortium then who’s negotiated commercial terms with suppliers? What’s your ABTA and ATOL status? Where are these massive “discounts” coming from?

ArbunneHun · 26/02/2018 09:11

That’s exactly my thoughts, @SSDGM. I’m going to see whether I can get someone on the travel side here to investigate.

As the age-old adage goes: IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS.

One thing I’m sure of is that someone, somewhere will be making money through this scheme from people who can’t afford to lose it.

SSDGM · 26/02/2018 10:06

Let me know if you need any help @ArbunneHun . I have plenty of contacts.

puffyisgood · 26/02/2018 10:06

Yeah, i watched the video.

I don't think you can even call it 'too good to be true' given that the details are so sparse & it's ultimately being offered by such shysters, basically a snakeoil outfit whose normal product range is hugely overpriced pills & potions.

At a wild guess, some or all of the following are true regarding her £300 school holiday week in Florida:

  1. there isn't/wasn't ever a hotel available at that price, the offer is merely 'aspirational'/indicative of something they might one day offer;
  2. its location is awful, a ridiculously long way from the theme park;
  3. the rate is for room only, food/any other extras are extortionate [and e.g. due to a isolated location not widely available elsewhere], there are various supplementary charges etc;
  4. you have to use specified [extortionate] airlines, airport transfers, etc;
  5. you only get access to these rates once you've paid some really fees; and/or you've signed up dozens of other dupes to cough up the same; and/or you've attended many expensive 'training' events; 6)etc.

So Dora, does that mean that the top FLP bot from this weekend's awards only made around £7,500 for the year? Or is any income from downline on top of that?

Kathysclown · 26/02/2018 13:00

Sorry Dora - I reread your post and saw that I had misread the figures......

So, 7500 cc's would equate to nearer £150K income p.a., is that right?
