That’s funny, I was just coming here to enquirer about that travel company. It is worse than a pyramid- it’s a Ponzi. Does anyone here work in the travel industry? I’d love to hear your take on people doing an online course for £23 and then selling holidays. Well, they don’t actually sell holidays do they? Just the membership into the scheme. But just in case any holidays do get sold, what are the rules around it? What about ABTA etc?

According to the search I did on the CAA website, Evolution Travel does not have ATOL protection, despite various bot claims to the contrary. Maybe it is protected under another name or via a holding company?

No ATOL, no ABTA, no accounts set up with any 3rd party tour operator suppliers. They are part of IATAN which is the American part of IATA. This really means very little, especially to mass market bucket and spade travellers.
Evolution claim to be distributors for some big names like Disney, sandals, Royal Caribbean cruises etc, but without an ATOL or ABTA bond its a risky place for travellers to put their cash. They would be better off nipping to the local travel agent who will clearly know lots more than someone who’s taken a £23 training course.

Like Valentus this has come over to the UK and isn’t set up for the UK market at all.

From what I can see it’s a Ponzi. Pure and simple.

In his live he says that Evolution are being taken over by Barrhead Travel. What I can find doesn't confirm that.

Barrhead have been bought by US based Travel Leaders Group.

They’re not being taken over by Barrhead. What will happen at best for Evolution will mean they will operate under the ABTA and ATOL that Barrhead own and along with it the terms Barrhead get from their third party suppliers. Barrhead are definitely NOT getting paid 80% commission by any of those.

You would be better off joining Travel Counsellors or another homeworkung PTA company if you really wanted to set yourself up as a real seller of mass market travel services.

The purchase hasn’t even completed yet and won’t be until the end of March. Until then I fail to see how this business is fit for purpose in the UK market at all.

Feeling really sad and frustrated today, nothing in particular, just cannot understand why people still dont see that this stuff is total and utter bullshit, after that exchange (detailed above) on facebook with some friends, I am feeling really defeated by it all, on an almost monthly basis, I see yet another person on my friends list sucked into this, and I dont even have a big friends list!!! Despite me having shared multiple links about the truth behind the lies for the past 3 years!!! It makes me so angry and wonder why the government is letting people down so catastrophically by allowing this set up to operate here under the veneer of a legitimate opportunity. I dont think income disclosure statements are enough to demand, I think an outright ban/or heinous regulation is what we should be demanding. There has to be a way to get this shit shut down once and for all right??

We cant convince the brainwashed Bots, they are too far down the rabbit hole , so we need to find a way to cut the head of the snake once and for all...

Do we have any sympathetic MP’s or well known critical celebs we could tap into?

Surely to god there has to be someone in a position to get this exposed, how about tv producers who could do a proper undercover docu? A panorama or Louis theroux type programme? I 100% applaud the odd article and Victoria Derbyshire segment, but these are not enough, it needs to be much bigger, with more exposure.

We can’t do it alone, these threads are not enough, and speaking out is so important. You have 12 million users, to whom you have a strong voice, I understand there are complexities involved, but this is so important, women (mostly) and largely new mums, are being hideously exploited here, it’s just not ok...

This is all good, though. The mention of Uk government (which I presume to be Trading Standards) means that even though they are underfunded and hard pressed, these MLMs are being investigated and action is being taken.
