36 Lies to reel you in...

  1. They will tell you that you will have time freedom in this business. Two weeks later they will tell you the business won't work unless you do.

When it's a business event they will not accept excuses for you missing it and will set an example by missing their child's first birthday or telling you a story of how they once shit themselves in white trousers on the front row at success day because they were poorly but didn't want to miss it.... You will know quickly that the unspoken rules is 'no excuses on success day's.

That would be gross though, wouldn't it?

Spongebobette · 26/02/2018 14:45

Blimey so 2.5k is an annual gross income of 50k?

FuckYouDailyMail · 26/02/2018 15:12

And like cozie reminds us just gross income before all the expenses they've paid out come off that. Oh and of course tax as I'm sure they are all remembering to declare their income Wink

Dora you are so knowledgeable!

And when it’s a married couple team, that’s the income for both of them. Hardly earth shattering

Still as long as you can find 350- 400 a month to lease a flashy car you can boast about your perfect life lol

ArbunneHun · 26/02/2018 16:00

....and lots of them have high monthly outgoings as many are renting big houses/leasing flashy/paying expensive school fees cars. So if your monthly income halves, then what? We’ve already seen ‘retired’ husbands quietly going back to work, moves to smaller, more affordable houses... what next?

Norma27 · 26/02/2018 16:11

Oh my god she has got a bloody kitten. Reminds me of verruca salt.

dadandmum · 26/02/2018 16:57

Poor thing is going to get coated in foundation and aloe if she keeps rubbings her face over the kitten. FLP have got non cruelty to animals certificate right?

Kathysclown · 26/02/2018 17:30

On the income of the bots in FLP - what costs do they have to take out of their income? Do they have to buy the products (and so therefore there is a massive chunk of their income taken in stock/product costs)? Or does the 'income' represent the net amount? I assume that all of their costs for team incentives etc would come out of their income too, travel, events, trainings etc, but I guess as a % of £150K, that wouldn't be too much. And of course they have to pay tax (and VAT?) too ;-)

Just trying to understand what a realistic level of 'profit' a top bot would be looking at.

dropdeadfitty · 26/02/2018 17:36

Incomes have dropped massively and that has meant the hubbies going back to work - or quietly getting into the wagon and tooting the FLP horn!

entrepeneur · 26/02/2018 18:17

@Kathysclown Using an online tax calculator for the self-employed, £150,000 would amount to £77,000 take-home pay presuming a cost of £2000 for business running costs and expenses like petrol for the fancy car, all the travelling to and from the regular team meetings, all the jollies and conferences both in UK and abroad.

The calculator showed the tax man gets 3.6k a month and NI is £412.

ArbunneHun · 26/02/2018 18:21

It’s not quite as straightforward as self-employment though. The big bots set up as small businesses, offset all the expenses against tax and pay themselves/their husbands dividends.

hotelduvin · 26/02/2018 19:00

Yawn sounds like she needs a visit from the RSPCA.. that poor cat. Bought on a whim, into a house with four dogs.

entrepeneur · 26/02/2018 19:36

@ArbunneHun Yes that's true. They probably take home more from £150k than I guesstimated below as it will be done through directors dividends etc. Still can't imagine it's a huge wage once £150k has been filtered through a LTD company though?

BSintolerant · 26/02/2018 19:40

Bots who set up limited companies for their alleged businesses pay less tax. We can all have a look at what they're up to in the UK on the Companies House beta website.

If they reach the VAT threshold (I can't remember the exact figure) they have to think about that too.

FuckYouDailyMail · 26/02/2018 20:17

VAT threshold is £85,000 currently.

BangingOn · 26/02/2018 20:22

Who wants to play a bet on what MillionDollarChequeBot’s big announcement is on Thursday? Who will he be going with? Or will he attempting to launch his own product?

BangingOn · 26/02/2018 20:37

*Place a bit, obviously Blush

Kathysclown · 26/02/2018 20:51

Banging I don't understand why 1000+ people (allegedly, from his latest posts) are following him to a new venture without them having any clue what it is. Why do people show so much loyalty to him? Is this all about him being hugely charismatic, and people are hooked into him in some kind of blinkered way? If people who were in his downline at Vida were doing so well, why aren't they staying there rather than moving with him? Or is it that they actually weren't doing very well after all?? Or is the fact that he has been terminated meant that they have lost everything too? I just don't understand it on any level.

cozietoesie · 26/02/2018 21:05

Do you really think 1,000+ people are following him, though? He sounds..........unwell to me.

Norma27 · 26/02/2018 21:06

Just checking doterra essential oils are mlm aren’t they?

BangingOn · 26/02/2018 21:08

That’s exactly my train of thought. On the one hand there are certainly plenty of followers commenting on his posts and promising their everlasting loyalty.... but thousands?

SSDGM · 26/02/2018 21:15

Yes, @Norma27

Norma27 · 26/02/2018 21:19

Thank you ssdgm. I knew they were. I am on a beauty page which bans mlms. Someone said as from tomorrow she is is starting to sell them. Felt a bit bad as from what I have seen in the past she is a decent person and been in the group a while. Post got taken down within 5 mins after I said it was mlmtho so all good!!

It is one if those mlms that are not well known so easily go undetected if not reported. X
