MLM Bot Watch 36 - Those who think it's ok to tell white lies soon become colourblind

36 Lies to reel you in...

  1. They will tell you that you will have time freedom in this business. Two weeks later they will tell you the business won't work unless you do.

When it's a business event they will not accept excuses for you missing it and will set an example by missing their child's first birthday or telling you a story of how they once shit themselves in white trousers on the front row at success day because they were poorly but didn't want to miss it.... You will know quickly that the unspoken rules is 'no excuses on success day's.

I've never met anyone who was completely immune to flattery in some shape or form. And not just looks of course - it could be your 'wisdom, business acumen, zest for life, maternal experience' - you name it. Many of these 'professional women' fall to a bad case of love-bombing - if they have no clear vulnerabilities. (With the hard sell following on later.) It's how cults work.

ArbunneHun · 21/02/2018 22:20

I had the ‘I’ve always admired your confidence and sense of style’ pick-up. ‘You’re just what I’m looking for in my new business. Shall we meet and I’ll tell you more about it?’

This was from someone I know a little and I like. It’s flattering and vague enough to picque your interest. It’s all very clever and manipulative.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 21/02/2018 22:27

An expression I've read twice today on bots fb pages (when they've been singing the praises of other bots) is "you've never looked left or right, you've just looked ahead".

I think the term they're looking for is blinkered.

cozietoesie · 21/02/2018 22:37

....confidence and sense of style.....

Oh Yes. That would get you a foot in the door much of the time. Sadly.

cozietoesie · 22/02/2018 04:59

A horse racing tip, Oh. You bet on a long odds horse on the first occasion they wear blinkers. Not afterwards. As I'm here. Grin

fitgirl26 · 22/02/2018 06:49

As someone whose stock outfits are skinny jeans and jumpers in winter, skinny jeans and vest tops in summer and gym gear I would be mighty suspicious if someone complimented me on my sense of style!

cozietoesie · 22/02/2018 06:51
Grin

But perhaps you 'wear them well' ?

dropdeadfitty · 22/02/2018 07:55

Where is the FLP rally being held? Do we know who didn't qualify this year as opposed to last year?

NatashaShingles · 22/02/2018 08:07

Vida top bot is in a different league to any of the others. Hes previously been kicked out of Ariix, he repeatedly got downline in Vida to pump £500+ a month in "for own incentives " including cars and holidays that he never gave them, he money launders and has committed serious tax fraud, he changed his name to that of a greek god, he thinks the whole world is watching him, he bully and controls women, he forced another rep to get an abortion while his own gf was pregnant and hes the absolute definition of unstable narcissist. Hes apparently going to launch his own mlm company with ex Ariix top bot (who, btw, hated him a few months ago) and he has financial backers. Hes a gutter rat of the highest form but luckily for us we have a lorry load of evidence on him that has found its way to HMRC. God sometimes we are so clumsy 🙄

SSDGM · 22/02/2018 08:25

I’m friends with a “mummy blogger” type who has just over 100k followers. She knows I’m massively anti MLM and yesterday told me about her experiences after she remembered she had a box of Valentus in her cupboard.
She was once offered an FOC Clean 9 as long as she blogged about it. 3 days in, she folded. The aloe made her gag and the shakes were disgusting so she publicly quit.
Cue furious messages off the aloe bot as she had at least 20 people wanting to buy a kit if the blogger had completed the cleanse and seen a result. Such were the frequency and anger of the messages that the bot had lost her £100 and subsequent sales my friend packaged up all the leftover kit and posted it back to her.
Same thing happened with the coffee, she said the woman who sold it to her seemed like she had been brainwashed. There was also a “meeting” with a couple who tried to sign her up for NuSkin but never once mentioned through the meeting what company it was. Her words “they were so odd, it was like they’d been got at”.

BangingOn · 22/02/2018 10:39

Natasha I picked up on the Facebook fuffle going on this week around that Bot, I had no idea he was so murky. Such a shame that HMRC have all of that evidence, bloody well done!

ArbunneHun · 22/02/2018 12:14

Again.

Kathysclown · 22/02/2018 18:33

Anybody else watched MillionDollarChequeBot's Live?!

starseeker · 22/02/2018 19:30

Hi All, I've been a lurker for a few months now. Let's just say Elle Beau's blog saved me and then shortly after I found you guys!!! My newly regained independent thought processes seem to have been noticed though and as a result have just found myself banished from the groups!!! Just on a mission now to save those I'm sad to say I brought into this and right any wrongs I feel have occurred while I was under the brainwashed fog..... Hmm

BangingOn · 22/02/2018 20:03

Kathys I missed it, what did he have to say?

Star I’m so pleased you’ve found your way out. Which MLM were you with, or would you rather not say?

cozietoesie · 22/02/2018 20:05

Well done for escaping in time, star. Smile

starseeker · 22/02/2018 20:15

Thanks so much, I feel like a weight has been lifted and yet I feel like cringing at the same time that I was just so frighteningly brainwashed!! Shock
It was younique.

cozietoesie · 22/02/2018 20:26

You weren't so brainwashed that you didn't get out, though. You did well to leave. Smile

BangingOn · 22/02/2018 20:30

Out of interest, how did you find your way to the blog? Did someone send it to you or were you having doubts and searching online?

Kathysclown · 22/02/2018 20:54

Banging It was all about how unjust and untrue the lies/rumours have been, how much he loved Vida Divina and his team, how he has been 'constructively dismissed' (so not self employed then?!) and how history has always shown that the 'great' have been persecuted - you know, like Jesus Christ was.......

starseeker · 22/02/2018 21:19

I was having doubts and searching. I've sent it to quite a few already now though and everyone has had a very similar reaction. It's so well written, none of us could stop reading as soon as we started. She's done a brilliant job of capturing it all

ArbunneHun · 22/02/2018 21:27

The MillionDollar live was... a masterclass in narcissism and the most extreme example of a messiah complex I have ever witnessed. Just... extraordinary. He couldn’t decide whether he was Jay Z, Jesus Christ or Julius Caesar.

But don’t worry! He’s going to save all the poor & suffering MLMers! He is their saviour!

PS: what is his accent????

entrepeneur · 22/02/2018 21:59

@ArbunneHun His accent is perplexing. I can hear Irish, Manc, Liverpudlian, South African and maybe a bit New Yoik too. He's not the Messiah - he's a very naughty boy!

spanfan · 22/02/2018 23:04

I caught the end of his live. He was v v repetitive, .almost psychotic. From what I remember he was full of a plan for the future.

His accent was puzzling me. Combo of Irish (makes sense) and sound South African (odd)
