36 Lies to reel you in...

  1. They will tell you that you will have time freedom in this business. Two weeks later they will tell you the business won't work unless you do.

When it's a business event they will not accept excuses for you missing it and will set an example by missing their child's first birthday or telling you a story of how they once shit themselves in white trousers on the front row at success day because they were poorly but didn't want to miss it.... You will know quickly that the unspoken rules is 'no excuses on success day's.

Cheeky, well done to you!
Are MLM even eligible? (Do MLMers go along? Is it totally awkward?)

Spongebobette · 24/02/2018 15:34

Yeah but did you get to walk across a stage in a sash and get whooped by an audience of overexcited women though @Cheekysmile?

fitgirl26 · 24/02/2018 15:36

Welcome @HipHipHippo! What MLM was she flogging?

ArbunneHun · 24/02/2018 16:24

Congratulations @Cheeky, that’s brilliant!

Any news from the #SuccessExpress ‘event’ in Coventry?

justbeingmyself · 24/02/2018 16:46

Hi. Long time lurker here, first time poster.

My mum has been introduced to Herbalife products.
She was told after the first months batch that she has to join as a seller in order to buy any more. I warned her off of this before she even started and rolled my eyes as she told me.
Apparently the seller has 'agreed this time' that she can use her 'special discounted rate'.
Apparently, although her weight is higher than it's been for a while, she thinks the products are amazing and she wants to keep going.

Does anyone have any Herbalife specific stuff I can share with her? I don't want her being sucked in to this level of crazy. I don't believe for a second that it actually works.

ArbunneHun · 24/02/2018 16:54

She should watch Betting on Zero on Netflix @justbeing. It’s a whole documentary about how dreadful Herbalife is.

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 24/02/2018 17:04

Is "Not just travel " an MLM?

SerenSmith · 24/02/2018 17:19

Had anyone got any inside info on FM world?

I’m in a conversation with a rep on Facebook who’s got quite far up the 3 sided shape of the organisation and reckons when she qualified for a car they paid her £170 for 3 years to ensure she stayed with the company and then gave her £5k to buy the car.

I can’t find much on the website aside from commission towards lease payments but she is adamant she was bought the car and owns it outright.

CheekySmile · 24/02/2018 18:18

Only #SBS winners get invited to the annual event so there were no MLM reps there yesterday. They did say that there’s been 329,000 applicants for an #SBS award since it began in 2010, so a few must have been MLM surely?!

Whiterangey · 24/02/2018 23:41

Is it just me or were there not that many people at #successday? The hall seemed full but there didn't seem as many chairs and people as usual.

Yawn was number 15 in the UK with Uber being 1, Castle was 2.

It was the awesome day in the history of days and it will help so many people build their businesses!

cozietoesie · 24/02/2018 23:44

What do they actually do at Success Day?

ArbunneHun · 25/02/2018 00:04

FLP downsized to smaller arenas where they could just fill the central section after they had to cancel some events last year due to insufficient ticket sales. There were still tickets to today’s event available yesterday - there were desperate, guilt-tripping posts on the main FLP Facebook about it.

Whiterangey · 25/02/2018 00:38

@cozietoesie They whoop, cheer, yell, wave banners, and worship their leaders.

What a bargain for only £30 plus travel costs plus lunch costs!

That is all you need to run a successful business.

@Arbunnehun That would make a lot of sense then, I was looking at last years photos and previous success days and this one seems to be the smallest yet. Given that Yawn 'only' did 2500CC's last year and she is number 15, it does look like business is on the downslide.

So her BFF was 8?

She only got bonus level 1 and 2500CC's for her chairman's bonus. I know she also just moved out of her huge great big house.

Despite everything I can't help but feel bad when that happens, especially as there are children involved.

If the 8th bestest forever business owner in the UK has to give up their house and is on the lowest rank of the bonus cheques, what chance would I have if I signed up?

Especially as the top UK business owner had a huge cut in her CC's as well.

Looks like Forever is dying on it's arse, it's horrible they are still bringing new people in and pretending they are in with a chance of making it.

MysweetAudrina · 25/02/2018 08:20

A friend of mine is into networking. She is not pushy and i have bought a few products from her over the years. She has been involved in a few different company's and her upline in the latest one is the guy who was recently terminated. She resigned the other day on ethical grounds and a lot of her downline has too. She is 100% supportive of the terminated one and speaks very highly of him too. She has done a live and so have her team. I have watched his also. I am not in the UK but I gather she was one of the top leaders where I am. She really is a nice girl and i have never seen her use poor practices. Should I be worried for her? I know she is going to go with the terminated one when he sets up something new whatever that may be. She was making good money and her family are dependent on this income. Is He really that bad or are people just jumping on the bandwagon because he was successful and they are just relishing his fall?

fitgirl26 · 25/02/2018 08:32

Usi-Tech have sent out a long email. To cut a very long story short - everyone is screwed apart from certain Top Bots who have got all the money but they've got a shiny new BTC 2 Ponzi opportunity waiting in the wings.

dropdeadfitty · 25/02/2018 08:54

Yawn and her bestie used to be similar ranked or close - Yawn is 15 and bestie is 8? Is Yawn's business slipping? Has her bestie moved out of her big house? Incomes must be going down

ArbunneHun · 25/02/2018 08:56

Well @fitgirl, I never saw that coming! I thought it was a totally above board and legit Ponzi scam!

ArbunneHun · 25/02/2018 09:15

@MysweetAudrina, you friend should be wary of investing time/money/emotion in ANY MLM or ANY leader. Research shows that 99% or participants don’t make money. And remember that whatever a ‘leader’ says to her, he or she profits from every £ that she spends in that scheme. He will never have her best interests at heart, only the size of his bonus cheque.

Spongebobette · 25/02/2018 09:17

I hope that Forever Living withers away

It is so awful to see women drive half way across the country at the weekend, paying all their own expenses and even paying for a ticket to the event, just to walk across a stage with a sash on saying 'supervisor'. And watch a few top ships talk about amazing 'earning potential'
The company gives a select few gifts like bottles of champagne which are then posted all over FB with gushing thanks, this keeps the minions impressed
YUK

Spongebobette · 25/02/2018 09:17

*top shills

justbeingmyself · 25/02/2018 09:18

@ArbunneHun thank you I will watch that tonight after work

Livelounge · 25/02/2018 12:31

Wasn't even champagne, it was Tesco prosecco.
