Thread 34 may be no more;
Thread 35 is quite alive.

Let's make sure it stays that way.

This thread is here to expose the garageful of lies pedalled by multi level marketing (network marketing) schemes, i.e outrageous health claims, unlimited wealth and residual earnings, to name but a few.

Brokebot is claiming the comp scheme is 80% commission. It's actually 80% of the available commission which is likely to be 10% at most on package holidays and a bit fat zero on flights.
I was in the travel industry for years. There is absolutely no money to be made as a travel agent these days but at least if you're on the high street you get a salary as well as commission. MLM travel agents get 20% less commission than the high street and no salary. The holidays are not ATOL or ABTA protected either.

@Spongebobette Some of the bots are posting the emails they received detailing what level they got. For example Bonus level 1 and 2500cc's

The amount of cc's also determine the length of your stay at the global rally, I found a document yesterday that shows all the different levels and share of the bonus.

• One half of the pool will be paid to those who qualify in Level 1.
• One third of the pool will be paid to those who qualify in Level 2.
• One sixth of the pool will be paid to those who qualify in Level 3

1,500 Total Case Credits:
• Airfare, lodging and meals for 6 days and 5 nights
• $500 spending cash
• $300 activity allowance
2,500 Total Case Credits:
• Airfare, lodging and meals for 8 days and 7 nights
• $1,000 spending cash
• $500 activity allowance
5,000 Total Case Credits:
• Airfare, lodging and meals for 9 days and 8 nights
• $2,000 spending cash
• $500 activity allowance
• Use of the VIP checkout in the Rally shopping area
7,500 Total Case Credits:
• Airfare, lodging and meals for 9 days and 8 nights
• $3,000 spending cash
• $600 activity allowance
• Use of the VIP checkout in the Rally shopping area
10,000 Total Case Credits:
• Airfare, lodging and meals for 9 days and 8 nights
• Business Class flight accommodations to/from the Rally
• $3,000 spending cash
• $600 activity allowance
• Use of the VIP checkout in the Rally shopping area
12,500 Total Case Credits:
• Airfare, lodging and meals for 9 days and 8 nights
• Business Class flight accommodations to/from the Rally
• $12,500 spending cash
• $600 activity allowance
• Use of the VIP checkout in the Rally shopping area

The document I found is from 2012 so that could have changed.

Given that FLP UK's profits are down I guess that will mean that there is less money in the bonus pot to be spread around so cheques will be less just based on that even without those who have dropped how many cc's they got.

ArbunneHun · 15/02/2018 15:02

So last year, Castle posted pics of the whole family flying business class... is that going to happen this year?

BSintolerant · 15/02/2018 16:30

Thank you for posting the link to the debate on the Victoria Derbyshire show. The MP was very well briefed. Has anyone else written to their MP? These awful schemes should be banned or heavily regulated at the very least.

On the emails bots are posting about their confirmation of qualifying for Dallas there doesn't appear to be any mention of flights just accommodation, wristbands and access to workshops and activities.

So what do they have to cough up for themselves then? Flights and airport transfers I presume but also what about food, drink etc is any of that included?

I mean it's all well and good some of these bots taking someone from their downline because it makes them look good and they can't afford for the whole family to go and their husband has to stay behind for his J.O.B. but how are these poor lowly bots supposed to pay for it? Something else to bung on the credit card no doubt.

ArbunneHun · 15/02/2018 17:51

If anyone does want to rally their MP, I can send you what I sent to mine - #PMMEHUN

ReformedBot · 15/02/2018 19:41

I've forgotten who asked but yes I saw bank statement screenshots and payslips from uplines. I know the volume of CCs that were turned over would be producing the income claimed. I've sent some info to timeless vie email, it shows a bank statement with a payment from FLP I'm excess of £20k but also transfers from team members! They may have been paying for their share of a meal or something but when your mentor earns over 20k a month, surely they can afford to pay...?!!!

cozietoesie · 15/02/2018 19:43

'twas I, Reformed. Were these voluntary disclosures? Smile

Toobusytowee · 15/02/2018 19:44

I wrote to my Tory MP right back at about thread 3. He was ill informed and passed my letter onto a minister who replied to me. He didn’t have a clue either. He pretty much said MLMs are ok- look at AVON. I feel another letter coming on now that I know a lot more.

cozietoesie · 15/02/2018 19:48

That's standard practice, Toobusy. You would need to get them personally engaged to have a real effect.

crazyspaniellady · 15/02/2018 19:57

I haven’t been on a botwatch thread in a very long time, but thought I’d come and share some information I have obtained.

I used to be a fan of a brand called “Hot!Mess”, owned my a woman who I believe is only 23/24-ish, could really relate to her and couldn’t bash the clothes at all.

About 4/5 months ago she started posting on instagram about this “new business” she was starting, lured in by her sister, and she’s recruiting girls left right and centre because she has a decent social media following and if I didn’t know any better I’d be more than willing to sign up too!

She’s started a blog “about her journey” with this business, and how her sister has convinced her to leave her successful clothing business for this, as her sister had left her successful furniture business for it too...

Here’s where the fun starts - a little search on companies house shows both her and her sister are still owners of these other successful, non-MLM businesses. She claims she sold Hot!Mess to a company, only she is the owner of the company she apparently sold it to! The same with her sister.

They are ripping off so many naive young women, mostly, and I just wish there was something that could be done. Some way to expose her lies and save so many young woman like myself from what may possibly be the worst decision they could make...

Any advice?

Regarding the big mansion houses, Milliondollarchequebot lives in an Irish mansion he claimed he bought until it was revealed he just rents an apartment in it.

Flights and hotels are paid for, as well as some cash on top, the level of which depends on how many cc's you have done.

If Uber has only done 7500 she won't get a business class flight paid for based on CC, not sure if it's different because she is level 3.

Does anyone know what Castle qualified as?

I believe Yawn qualified at 2500CC, she was level 1 last year, and I suspect she might be the same this year based on what I can work out, so her cheque will be roughly what it was last year, although if Forever's profits are down globally as they are in the UK then there will be less money in the bonus pot to spread around so all cheques will be down, even if they performed exactly the same as last year.

JaniceBattersby · 15/02/2018 22:42

My bot who was CB level one last year with a 13k bonus has failed to qualify his year. At one point she was an eagle (?) manager and looked like she was being shilled for the big time. She’s since moved to a different country and it doesn’t look like it’s going very well for her. I feel sorry for her really. I think she’s now seeing she got swept away with it all (fancy rented house, but car, private school for the kids...) and just because you can earn big bucks for three years, doesn’t mean it’s sustainable for the long term.

ReformedBot · 15/02/2018 23:50

@cozietoesie Yes willful disclosures, as I said I have an actual bank account screenshot from a bot at the height of the good times in 2015. One of my mentors is inthe same position @janicebattersby

Toobusytowee · 16/02/2018 00:34

That’s a tricky situation Crazy. I guess the sisters should be safe at least and they haven’t risked their businesses. The deception will be affecting other people that get sucked in. If you decide to challenge her on social media, you will be blocked immediately. Are you invested in your relationship with this woman?

darceybussell · 16/02/2018 06:24

Just adding a screenshot of my annoying Mary Kay advert so I can report to MNHQ- as you were...

Looks like cars are a problem in MLM land. Ex Ariiiiiiix Now Waist-Trainer is selling hers to keep her children in private school and a roof over her head, Valentus/Mindset Coach has admitted that hers costs her £75 in fuel per week and she has a £2k excessto pay on her insurance after a smash.

Expensive millstones, these flashy status symbols aren’t they? It’s all good for the image when the money’s coming in, but when the income drops off...

Whiterangey · 16/02/2018 11:43

Can MNHQ do anything about those ads? They are likely the ones that are targeted to you based on your browsing history.

I don't know if they can let the advertising company know they don't want certain ads appearing.

Norma27 · 16/02/2018 11:48

Can you imagine running a model agency and a prospective child model comes in with their portfolio. One of the pictures is them standing with their family at a fl rally holding a big cheque.

How bizarre this bot thinks that this would make a suitable portfolio picture! The mind boggles!

Whiterangey · 16/02/2018 12:01

£2000 is a lot of money for an excess, looks like she can't afford it right now.

Is waist-trainer an MLM? I've not heard of that one.
