I don’t think so. (Happy to be corrected of course.)

DoratheExplorer17 · 19/11/2017 20:19

Yes it's absolutely possible to do all 4CCs by purchasing the stock. Costs around £600 to do that. I'm certain that's what most of the top bots do if they don't recruit for a month!

OP posts:
DoratheExplorer17 · 19/11/2017 20:25

I remember Mr BP tyr MD of FLP telling us that in one month over 27000 new bots were recruited!!!! I'm just one month, but in another breath he said that only 4000 reps in the UK did 4CCs or more. So that give you an idea of how many people are actually making money. I think most people are so blinded by the razzle dazzle that they never put two and two together. Imagine if the 27000 was on average 20000 a month throughout 2015 when it boomed. That's 240,000 new reps in a year. And STILL only just over 4000 are doing 4CCs to get paid on their teams. Anyone not doing 4CCs would be earning just 35% on their retail sales so we are talking just a couple of hundred £'s. FLP won't publish their churn rates but I'm pretty convinced that the stats that are rumoured are true and that 95% of people never make any money. Considering there's several million people who have signed up over the years, you can imagine the number who have quit or never made anything. It's very transparent if you start to put all the facts together

True, Dora. Smile

The figures are fascinating - as are the screenshots. Thank you for those.

When are people going to realise the consequences of the "Be your own best customer!" call to action? Who in their right mind would spend £160 every month on products when you can buy cheaper, higher quality products elsewhere? You can buy luxury cosmetics for less than £160 which last far longer than a month.

Spending £200 on The so-called business in a box is a con. How many bots realise that the purpose of buying the £200 box is not so they can sell its contents? Bots are expected to use the products themselves so they know all about them when they're 'introducing' Forever Living to someone else.

I saw a training video online which encouraged bots to put all their usual products in a black bin bag and hide it under the stairs and replace all of them with Forever stuff.

Bugger that! How culty and manipulative.

miffytherabbit1974 · 19/11/2017 22:50

ReformedBot -

There are some really fascinating statistics there. Thanks for putting them together and posting them up.

I've not noticed anywhere near as much Forever stuff, generally speaking, on social media etc. I kind of thought this might've been simply because louder and smaller "upstarts" (LTW, Maelle, Valentus etc) had filled the space. It would seem, as evidenced by your posts, that FL must be reaching some kind of global saturation point perhaps?

When one of the FL uber-bots branched out into continental Africa a few years ago (she's the bot with husbandbot who has some kind of farm thing), I wondered whether this move into African nations was due to US/EU becoming saturated. I thought that the move into Africa would keep a lot of the bots busy, but perhaps that's reached full HunBot capacity now?

A couple of acquaintances on my FB are no longer in FL either. One of them now runs a dog-walking business, and the other is working as a beautician.

DoratheExplorer17 · 19/11/2017 22:56

Yes I was told to do the black bin bag exercise. It's actually not that difficult to spend £160 if you think you buy

2 bottles of aloe to drink
1 bottle of the washing liquid
Shampoo
Conditioner
Foundation (because it didn't last)
Hand wash
Shower gel
Mascara (also didn't last long)

That's probably the best part of £160 already and that's without a C9 which you were encouraged to do twice a year, shakes, protein bars, face creams, toothpaste etc.

If anyone ever saw you using other companies products you got 'there's no CCs in using those....do you want the promotion or not?.....your choice' Guilt Trip and manipulation tactics on point!

Some of the products were lovely, but not worth the money.

And you're right, the business in a box is not for you to retail at all, but they don't hide that fact, they are to use so that you can tell everyone how utterly amaze balls they are!

Does anyone know what the big news was again for Valentus yesterday? There was a “memo”, apparently.

rayofhope2 · 19/11/2017 23:07

I remember working out the figures for CB (think it was for 2015) so getting cheques in April 2016. There were approx 10 million FBO’s worldwide and 997 got CB cheques. That’s 0.000097%. So yes there are people making money but less that 1% achieved the coveted CB

cozietoesie · 19/11/2017 23:20

The Organisation won’t have lost out, though. Wink

BSintolerant · 19/11/2017 23:36

Dora their tactics are manipulative in the extreme.

Thank goodness for these threads and to everyone who has exposed how these cults operate.

BSintolerant · 19/11/2017 23:38

Cozie you're right. It's just like gambling - success might be just around the corner ... and the House always wins.

Toobusytowee · 20/11/2017 01:16

No one has contacted me yet about Stella and Dot. I was hoping for a bit of information on them. I will keep identities a secret. Please contact me if you have ever been involved. It's just basic info I need. Thanks.

ReformedBot · 20/11/2017 09:51

Black Friday posts are starting. As a guide, we are told not to discount products as it devalues the brand. Black Friday is the one day of the year where this 'rule' is relaxed and we (I say 'we' but I mean 'they') can discount as much as they want.

TRANSLATION: Get the CCs in for November at all costs to ensure big Christmas bonuses for your upline.

It makes me so sad now. I am looking forward to the run up to Christmas this year where I won't be worrying about sponsoring and retailing! I will enjoy working on other projects that I can switch off from without guilt.

It would be quite easy to buy your CC and to be honest, I could have happily have done it if I could of afforded too - the idea of people having a mass of stock is not as true as you think, though the amounts held for stalls and multiple types of Trial Packs (Sports, Baby, Facial, Pampering, Sensitive Skin etc.) would be considerate but most would consider them a business asset. The shakes ARE lovely and when I went to one event I was offered some supplements by a longer serving FBO. I was offered them in the same way you would offer someone a boiled sweet or a mint and I was surprised as they actually were quite tasty and so you could just pop them in your bag and have them on the go (and again share out and possibly make a sale!). At approx. £30 per bottle and many different varieties that would be easy CC to consume each month.

These threads, and the support of two ex-FL reps has been instrumental in me leaving and I honestly feel they are helping to 'de-programme' me. I can be hoovering or doing something completely random and I remember something completely random that now either makes sense to me or I realise what manipulation was involved. I read almost everyday the back threads and it is interesting seeing what was being perceived on MN at various significant moments of the last few years.

I checked in on team pages and can see people being sponsored, part of me wants to set up a fake facebook account and tell them to send their box back now for a refund! I can see people who post regularly but get no where giving it their all on the team pages with ideas and tips. I worry for them now because I found solace here and though I am strong headed for being proactive in moving forward, many may not be and that is not good for mental health :(

Forgive me if I ramble, share irrelevant things or repeat myself. This place is therapy!!

cozietoesie · 20/11/2017 10:21

Ramble merrily, Reformed. (Although I don’t think you were, actually.) Smile

Norma27 · 20/11/2017 10:25

Just seen it’s Rex’s birthday today. Let’s all toast him with a glass of aloe juice!

ReformedBot · 20/11/2017 11:13

Happy Birthday Mr Sleazebag. I was surprised when Castlebots FL best friend - who also is an ex-cop - described how Rex Maughan likes to put his hands on the female bums when he is congratulating them and handing their cheque over. She completely laughed it off.

Even before these times where tales abuse of power and fame are so rife in the media spotlight, I once again silenced my inner voice from thinking 'that's not right'.

Botwatcher84 · 20/11/2017 11:29

has everyone seen this?

Botwatcher84 · 20/11/2017 11:34

My friend keeps sharing one of them and I don’t know which one is which. Thanks!

cozietoesie · 20/11/2017 14:37

Is your friend ‘poised to join’?

Lizzilondon · 20/11/2017 17:44

SSDGM
what I can gather the Valentus ' Big News' is something to do with sending free samples out but you have to pay the $5 postage. It started today in USA and Canada but not sure if accessible to UK bots today. The samples get sent out by the company.

Peaheadz · 20/11/2017 18:03

I remember. It was drummed into us how important it was to use the products and buy from yourself. However it was always more expensive. I always got more from my money in boots or Sainsbury’s.

I would spend the £50 minimum order and only come out with 3 or 4 items.

Some months I was skint and had to buy from boots as I needed them, but I felt guilty as I wasn’t buying from FL.

So what did they expect you to do if you didn’t have a spare few quid to make up the £50.

If they wanted to support you why have a £50 minimum order.
