I see Uberbot is also doing the FL packs for breast cancer patients - she's calling them Positive Packs Hmm

It really riles me the way they are asking people to "donate" £20..... it is NOT donating, it is BUYING FL products which happens to up your bots CCs and clear their garage full of stock.

I would love to know if the charities she mentioned were really as excited about the packs as she claims they were or if they have any idea about MLMs and how they prey on vulnerable women in particular. Can't help but wonder if they've got an inside contact there Hmm

Myusername2015 · 27/09/2017 16:26

I came on this thread to comment on uberbot’s “packs” lost my mum to this awful disease and this makes me SO angry that vulnerable women are going to be subjected to being on her who do you know list and badgered forever more. What a con to get new buyers for the products that she will be getting as a massive discount anyway! 😡

cozietoesie · 27/09/2017 16:35

If they perceive a 'chink' of any sort, a wedge will be driven into it. (Perhaps at their 'upline's' suggestion - these are organisations after all.)

MrsGotobed · 27/09/2017 16:41

I'm sorry to hear about your mum MyUserName.

One of my best friends and a work colleague are both currently having treatment for breast cancer and the though of them being approached with one of these packs and the spiel that comes with it makes me so angry too.

crumpetsfortea37 · 27/09/2017 19:44

It is so despicable to target people with cancer and their friends and families under the cover of "charity". They are so vulnerable.

Toobusytowee · 28/09/2017 00:48

Please can someone send me evidence of the Vida people getting stopped at the airport?

SSDGM · 28/09/2017 04:22

I would have loved to, TooBusy, but it true bot style all reference to the incident has been deleted. I'll see if anyone my bot travelled with has left it on their timeline.

SSDGM · 28/09/2017 04:27

Things to do in an airport check in queue: get evidence for Botwatch.

Have sent some stuff over, TooBusy

SSDGM · 28/09/2017 11:52

The Xerveo lot are wetting their pants about the latest Vida development but the Lean Java bots are staying under the radar. Isn't all the Xerveo stock stuck at customs? Once again recruiting with no product to sell...

cozietoesie · 28/09/2017 12:54

Well. One of my prime beliefs throughout life has always been:

'Never tick off HMRC'. Grin

Magicnumbers · 28/09/2017 17:15

First-time poster here after lurking for a while as I have a friend deep in the FLP world. I want my friend back but sadly atm she is too busy trying to sell average products at extortionate prices to those closest to her. She's even got her kids in on the act.

So, I have been watching other bots and trying to understand the world my friend is living in.

Xerveo/Lipbot and friends are giving me a virtual headache from all the eeeking about whatever they're planning next. Revolution X is clearly utter nonsense and the graphics/name is the sort of stuff my kids would come up with...what I am trying to understand is whether any of the eeeeking bots really believe in this latest campaign or their miracle products overall. Some seem really vulnerable. Does anyone have any insight into this?

I ask because I am also trying to work out whether my friend believes in what she's doing. I have read the Yuonique blog, but by the sounds of it FLP is slightly better in terms of how the company operates. But she's now trying to recruit other people and it is starting to reek of desperation.

Any advice or views really welcome.

cozietoesie · 28/09/2017 17:52

Have you dipped into botwatchblog, Magic? (And welcome, by the way.)

WindyTriller · 28/09/2017 18:28

Not “free” then is it?!

cozietoesie · 28/09/2017 19:13

They're after innocents who may be watching the pennies. I guess that they do, after all, believe that people will knee-jerk to something being called 'FREE'.

TheRealBarnbot · 28/09/2017 20:49

Well I finally received an official cease and desist warning from vida divina..... written by a 5 year old and sent from compliance dept. Ooh I cant wait 😂😂😂

BSintolerant · 28/09/2017 22:04

Will you cease and desist?

SSDGM · 28/09/2017 22:23

Cease and desist from what, exactly?

TheRealBarnbot · 28/09/2017 22:33

I must ceast and desist the horrible undocumented things im saying about the CEO and company. They have sent all information to UK lawyers.

Awkward when I show UK lawyers all the documented things about the CEO and company I have.

I replied to the email. In not so many words told them to fuck off 🖒😂

Magicnumbers · 28/09/2017 22:34

Cozie that's a helpful link, thank you. It's a strange strange world my friend is in. Still, that link has given me some ideas on how best to help her.

Thank you

Magic

Remember that you may not be able to help her - or not while she's fully in thrall, anyway. Much will depend on the value to you of her and her friendship. It might, certainly, be a long job which will require strength and patience on your part.

JaniceBattersby · 29/09/2017 00:03

Good for you barnbot. I get bollocks threats like this at least once a week at work (am journalist) from people who think that just because they don't want something in the public domain, it means I am not allowed to publish it. Ha ha ha. Fifteen years on the job and not once have I been successfully sued. If people are going to start quoting the law, they'd better be sure of themselves.

Keep up the good work.

Toobusytowee · 29/09/2017 09:05

Is anyone here feeling creative? I've got a competition on Botwatchblog to design images for stickers/ cups/ badges to try and spread awareness of MLMs. I'm putting entries on the blog to try and inspire people to do their own.

Please can someone volunteer to share the link with the Facebook group called 'sounds like MLM but ok'? It's a closed group but I'm sure there must be people from here in there. They have started making up their own funny MLM called 'Just In Queso' and I wonder if anyone fancies making an image for that.

I'm trying to raise a bit of cash for the cause, to cover website costs, get leaflets printed, etc. I won't be keeping any profit myself. Also, I'm hoping the products will actually spread awareness and stimulate discussion with people who might not have heard of MLM.

Perhaps people here would like to enter an image? Any winning entries will get a mug with the image on.
