Do I not add on the 8% interest at this stage its calculated on the spreadsheet. On the letter I have just asked for all my charges not the 8% extra, should I add this on now and put it on the LBA

PinkChick · 10/04/2007 16:41

I really want to start this process and dh and I know we were charged left right and centre a few years ago. I'm fairly sure I have bank statements going back 6 years, but we have an account each and a joint account. Do I sent a separate letter for each one or all together? Do I add interest? where is the best place to look for a template?

thanks mellowma for keeping a watch. OMG at what has been happening. I have eventually signed in and left a message. I supposed stoopid as it may sound, i have read a lot on this site, and do feel slightly imtimidated, thick even, which has put me off. not tonight though. I thought the whole process would be easy if I followed the steps, unfortunately the steps after it goes to court and you win by default , from what i can see aren't clear anywhere. They do say read everything you can and don't go in half hearted. It had to happen to us. Hey ho, there will be a positive some where along the line.

Mellowma

Sent Lloyds recorded letter 2nd March 2007 - got a letter back dated 27th March 3007 stating they are sorry to hear that I feel I have cause to complain LOL.

There letter states they do their best to send full responses within 8 weeks of receiving initial complaint.

Not holding out much hope as they have written to a Mrs Davies (not me!!!!! never been called Davies) Letter head stated my full name and I stated bank account details etc.

Tried to call number on letter to have a go that they can't even get my name right but it's always busy so I'll wait for response and see if they have my name right then!!!!!

Moomin · 10/04/2007 23:09

Don't wait for a response from them - go by the timetable you want. Barclays write to me twice giving me a rubbish timetable of 6 weeks which I ignored and write each time the 14 days I've given them was up. and make sure you write a paragraph about them getting your name wrong, thus proving that they have no idea about proper customer service.

Moomin · 10/04/2007 23:10

I'm meaning wrote each time, just getting over-excited with and the 'i' is next to the 'o'!
