Hi Lemonade I started on the same day as you! Have you gone through all the welcome offers already?! I'm doing the Team Profit 'start with £100' and working through them according to their list. Are you on a plan? Had a bit more than £100 to start. Now £118 up since starting. Feels a bit low 🙄 but have £25 freebies on today. Don't stop! Other people must feel like this.

LemonadeWithACherry · 21/06/2017 10:13

Hi Aloe! No I still have welcome offers to complete, but I felt that I should be taking advantage of the Ascot offers and go back to welcome offers after. Not sure now though! I have made £220 profit so far which I'm very pleased about - I started with about £250.

Can anyone help me with Ladbrokes Casino? I had a message that I had a £10 bonus, but I don't know how to use it. I accepted the offer and the bonus is in my account, but when I use spins it comes off my actual balance not my bonus Angry It's not free spins by the way, I know to be careful to click the free spins at the bottom when I have them.

LemonadeWithACherry · 21/06/2017 10:22

Oh I forgot to ask, what Ascot offers are people doing today? Smile

FiveHoursSleep · 21/06/2017 14:19

Make sure you are actually in Ladbrokes Casino, not slots, or games or bingo.
For Ascot I am doing Ladbrokes, Betvictor, Betpack, Betway and 888Sport. I made just over 40 yesterday, so happy with that as I made some daft mistakes!

HeyRoly · 21/06/2017 14:24

Argh! I've delayed my lay bets for the first race at Ascot, and the odds have blooming skyrocketed! I'm going to make some big qualifying losses - hopefully the horses will come 2nd/3rd and I'll get some free bets Hmm

MissFitton · 21/06/2017 14:35

I've had the opposite HeyRoly - I did my back bets yesterday and my lay bets this morning so I should make a small profit on my qualifiers. Mind you, after yesterday I'm not sure if I can be confident in what I've done Grin

HeyRoly · 21/06/2017 14:40

So annoying Grin Backed a horse at 5 and laid at 6.8. Then checked five mins later and they'd dropped to 5.9.

Oh well, should keep my Sky account from getting gubbed at least.

titchy · 21/06/2017 18:55

Ooh you lot probably all knew this, but if you lay several horses in the same race the exchange only takes the one with the maximum liability off your account, so even without enough £ in exchange, sticking to one race means you can still lay lots of horses!

HeyRoly · 21/06/2017 19:08

I didn't know that titchy! Makes perfect sense though - you can do a lot of lay bets and only one is ever potentially going to lose.

I've had a bit of a shitshow today. Not only did I make qualifying losses of about £8 on two blooming horses, I also decided to punt a couple of free bets on the same horse (different bookies obvs) because the odds were SO short it just had to win, right?

It came second Grin

And then I didn't check Ladbrokes and missed the day two bet £20 get £10 offer.

Oh well, should keep my accounts in good working order, because I've been a right mug today Wink

MissFitton · 21/06/2017 20:16

Oh dear Roly, bad luck with that!

Not a bad day here although my exchange balance is a bit of a bar to making any real money. Only really using a couple of bookies too so I can see how you'd potentially make big bucks if you took advantage of lots of bookies.

My strategy of backing in the evening and then laying the following lunchtime paid off - I held my nerve until 2.25 then layed on the first race. Made a fiver on a qualifier. If I'd hung on a few more minutes I could have made £60. Shock Not going to be about for the next couple of days to try that again but will remember for next time!

HeyRoly · 21/06/2017 20:38

You made a fiver on a qualifying bet? Wow! I need to start adopting this strategy. So what were the odds and how big was the bet?

MissFitton · 21/06/2017 20:48

It was a £20 back stake at 4.33 which I layed at 3.25. As I say if I'd held my nerve the lay odds dropped even further. As it was I made £5.71 - so not bad!

HeyRoly · 21/06/2017 21:05

Did you back the favourite? I don't suppose it's always guaranteed that the odds will drop so dramatically... or is it?

MissFitton · 21/06/2017 21:09

Yes, it was the favourite. Don't suppose it's a strategy that is a good idea long term - I suspect I just got lucky! It was, I suppose, a bit like gambling Grin

HeyRoly · 21/06/2017 21:21

Haha, exactly.

I backed the 2nd/3rd favourites and the odds just got longer and longer.

MissFitton · 22/06/2017 12:10

....yeah.....my brilliant strategy only works if you manage to back the definite favourite.....

You live, you learn!

HeyRoly · 22/06/2017 12:18

I backed a favourite last night at 5.5.

Lay odds now 8.4.

[hmm

Backed another two and the lay odds are dropping, so should make a tiny profit overall at least. And maybe some free bets if they come second or third.

LemonadeWithACherry · 22/06/2017 12:24

I had a lucky escape yesterday. One of the bookies has been on at me to verify my identity, kept rejecting what proof I had (I don't drive or have a passport). They had already awarded my free bet which I had placed and layed as normal, I went to check it and they had cancelled it without telling me! Panic ensued as I could have lost my liability, but thankfully when I checked the horse lost. Phew!

MissFitton · 22/06/2017 12:35

I suspect we're on the same horse Roly

I'm just minimising losses today. all part of the fun, innit?

Well spotted Lemonade, that would have been annoying!

strawberrygate · 22/06/2017 13:57

missfitton

"Using Strawberry's method of backing not laying for an Ascot race where they pay out if it comes 2nd/3rd/4th."

I only ever back and not lay of the offer is money back if you don't win.
Always back and lay for everything else, eg. money back for second etc otherwise you're gambling that your horse will come 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

LemonadeWithACherry · 22/06/2017 14:59

Are there any 'money back if you don't win' offers around at the moment? Not second or third etc.

HeyRoly · 22/06/2017 16:02

Risk free reload offers are quite rare tbh. That one Sky did on Tuesday was the first one I'd seen by any bookie.

I feel cheated out of a free bet by Paddypower. They do a free bet if 2/3/4 to the SP favourite. The horse I backed was the second favourite yesterday - but the favourite at the start of the race.

Think I'm going to give up on the back early/lay late strategy, because it's been pretty disastrous these past few days. Apart from when I turned a £10 free bet into £13 profit when I backed at 8 and laid at 5 Smile

strawberrygate · 22/06/2017 16:16

lemonade Betway has money back if you don't win on the first race for every day at Ascot

strawberrygate · 22/06/2017 16:17

heyroly it's a very risky policy to not back and lay at the same time. I've been stung a few times when i first started and never do it now

HeyRoly · 22/06/2017 16:19

Indeed strawberry! I've learned my lesson now and won't be doing it from now on. Thankfully, my losses were pretty small.
