Thanks strawberry, I will look in to that! (Ascot is still on tomorrow, right? Confused)

strawberrygate · 22/06/2017 17:22

Yes, It's on tomorrow. I'm on £150 free bets from Ascot so far today. It was rubbish till the 4:20 and 5pm. Fingers crossed for the 5:35 .

strawberrygate · 22/06/2017 18:39

Plus £42 for rule 4 on the last ( I don't really understand rule 4 TBH but it basically means extra money!)

MissFitton · 22/06/2017 18:48

Yeah, I think you're absolutely right not to back and lay Strawberry. Made a hash of today but valuable learning I think.

Can't see the £20 qualifier for a free £10 on Ladbrokes for tomorrow. Do they not do it on all the Ascot days?

strawberrygate · 22/06/2017 18:52

miss Fitton what went wrong today then?

MissFitton · 22/06/2017 19:12

Oh I suppose it wasn't too bad really but I was clearly lucky with my 'back and then delay laying' strategy yesterday so missed being able to lay a qualifier at all losing me 20 quid. Then my lay odds were a lot bit crap for the others so although I made a little on free bets I ended up about £25 down overall. Never mind. Good learning to not try and beat the system!

Are there any good offers for tomorrow?

strawberrygate · 22/06/2017 19:15

Are you with profit accumulator? They have a list every day of the offers.

MissFitton · 22/06/2017 19:25

I am - you'd think I'd have looked at it! Grin I need to get my head around price boosts. In fact there's loads I need to get my head around!

LemonadeWithACherry · 22/06/2017 19:26

I'm with oddsmonkey but am thinking of moving to profit accumulator because their guide made me lose out on £30 free bet and they haven't bothered to reply to my message. Do they have an oddsmatcher, would you recommend them?

I couldn't afford the liability for the Ladbrokes deal today. I have the betway offer set up for tomorrow.

strawberrygate · 22/06/2017 19:33

PA are great. they have a thing now included which is called matchcatcher. You select which bookies you want to do offers on and it comes up with a constantly updating list of the best matches/ how much to lay/ what your ql is and when you click on it it takes you to the right bookie's page. Saves oodles of time and ql.
The forum's are great too. though everyone thinks I'm a bloke on them ( which i quite like in a weird way!!)

strawberrygate · 22/06/2017 19:35

for instance, I've already done £300 worth of bets for tomorrow with a ql of just under £2. Really can't reccommned it enough. they have a free 2 week trial ( I think it's 2 weeks)

HeyRoly · 22/06/2017 21:34

Whaaaaaat?

See, this just makes me feel like I'll never get a decent handle on matched betting. I'm lucky if I make a QL of less than £2 when I bet £20!

titchy · 22/06/2017 22:36

£300 - wow! I've placed £50, bet365, with a small arb, and have another £70 (ladbrokes, sky and netbet) to do but QL too high at the moment (all Ascot).

Strawberrygate- how?

strawberrygate · 23/06/2017 08:44

holly by using matchcatcher on profit accumulator*

strawberrygate · 23/06/2017 09:01

Just as a little motivation for people, and to see what kind of money you're looking at; yesterday was a pretty good day and I ended up with £200 in free bets and about £10 real money

titchy · 23/06/2017 09:18

What sort of things? I couldn't see any close matches at all yesterday?

OP posts:
strawberrygate · 23/06/2017 09:25

all on the PA match catcher. Done nearly all of Ascot for the day except Bet on Brazil where I've only done one.

You don't need to be good at maths at all. There's a calculator on the site that works it all out for you, and if you use the matchcatcher it just tells you exactly how much money to put on. The only thing is that you need to reasonably organised to keep track of free bets and profit etc. i have a paper a4 file where I write down all of the days bets and then once a month or so I go through all my bookie accounts and see what my total profit is

titchy · 23/06/2017 09:55

Yep used that - still didn't find any decent matches except a Bet365 one....

Strawberry - how many bookies are you using to generate those sorts of levels of free bets? As I'm just starting out I'm only using a few but having gone through Ascot offers with those I can see how using loads of bookies would generate decent amounts. Or are you using fewer bookies and higher bets?

PlymouthMaid1 · 23/06/2017 10:36

Hi been reading for a while and will build up the courage to have a go at some point. Meanwhile, would somebody explain gubbed to me please? Is it c!osing the account down?
