I had a fantastic day yesterday! I placed a free bet on a horse that won but was then disqualified. As the bookie and the exchange have different rules re disqualification, I won at the bookies AND kept my liability! If only that happened every time. Grin

I'm unable to do anything more today though because I'm waiting for my withdrawals to come through. I think that will be the most tricky part of matched betting, trying to keep liquidity. I'm itching to do more today! I have a free bet left but no matches between that bookie and the exchanges.

HeyRoly · 14/06/2017 11:32

That's a fantastic stroke of luck lemonade!

I've started to do some more new customer offers via Oddsmonkey. The more obscure ones! Registered with Redbet today and Oddsmonkey says that two way markets are excluded. Wish I hadn't bothered depositing because that leaves me with a limited selection of football markets and not much else. They don't even seem to cover horse racing.

AloeAloe · 14/06/2017 13:12

Does anyone know how to use the Betfair welcome bets as lay bet stakes? Each time I go into my account and click on them it takes me to a slip where they are applied as backing bets. Only have 48 hours to use them. Can I redesignate them for lay bets or do you use another company for the lay bets in this instance such as Smarkets?

FiveHoursSleep · 14/06/2017 13:40

You have to use another exchange. Have you signed up to OddsMonkey? They explain all this kind of thing.

MissFitton · 14/06/2017 21:39

I'm still here although not much happening. Just betting through to be in the various bet x and get x free bet. For the first time ever I'm actually looking forward to the football season!

SierraJensen · 15/06/2017 08:03

Me too. My family would be shocked if they knew I was looking forward to football.

GrimDamnFanjo · 15/06/2017 23:40

This week has been a bit slow. I did win 54p on free slots though!
Looking forward to next week and Ascot as I decided not to do golf.

AloeAloe · 16/06/2017 06:33

Just completing my first week of matched betting and reached £40 profit. Feel like I've made all kinds of mistakes 🙄 Only really done three free bets yet. Plenty to go I suppose. Just wanted to ask if anyone else had got off to a shaky start and found they got better!

titchy · 16/06/2017 08:02

I'm doing golf and regretting it - I hadn't twigged that the odds were so long so I have about £450 tied up at the exchange.... roll on Sunday.

Aloe everyone makes mistakes starting out. The trick us to make small ones and learn. My early mistakes were all about not checking carefully enough. Remember to take your time with the sign ups and learn how it all works.

louisejxxx · 16/06/2017 23:13

titchy if you get any further free bets for golf try and bet on the same markets as what you already have done on the same exchange as you won't need any further liability.

ShinyGirl · 17/06/2017 10:06

Can anyone help?

Bet on a horse and layed it, but non runners have put a rule 4 deduction in place so what do I do now regarding the back and lay bets, if anything?

Horsemad · 17/06/2017 10:55

Just read this thread and it all sounds too stressful/confusing/hard work for little recompense for me!

ShinyGirl · 17/06/2017 11:52

Don't be put off Horsemad.

I'm aiming for £1000 a month next month and think I'll be able to do it too.

HeyRoly · 17/06/2017 13:24

Any offers/free spins circulating this weekend?

louisejxxx · 17/06/2017 17:02

There's a free £5 on one of the slots on William Hill

Truckingalong · 17/06/2017 17:40

I'm just starting up again (had to stop for a while cos I couldn't let bookies show in my bank statements!!!). I made £19 in 2 days and hopefully £10 tonight. Hardly champagne money but I'm more than happy with it for an hours 'work'. Still making rookie mistakes though and flying by the seat of my pants!

strawberrygate · 17/06/2017 19:32

hello fellow mb'ers. I've just done my 1 year totting up and I'm just over £25K in profit!!!!!!!

I use profit accumulator.
Did well on the golf so far. Mint bet had an offer where if your player is leading at the end of the first round, you get paid as a winner no matter what happens. My guy was winning at the first round so I locked in £180 profit.

Cack day on the horses though.

ShinyGirl · 17/06/2017 19:34

That's fantastic Strawberry. How long a day do you spend on it?

strawberrygate · 17/06/2017 19:38

a solid 2 hours a day when little ones are asleep in the afternoon. Though I admit a lot of that time is spent chatting to people on the PA forum

OnwardsNewLifeAhead · 17/06/2017 21:55

I took the plunge earlier this week.

After 4 days, I'm over £100 in profit Shock although it still doesn't really feel real - just lots of numbers floating around in different accounts!

It's all quite odd, but the numbers are going in the right direction, so long may it last Grin

MissFitton · 17/06/2017 22:13

strawberry - that's amazing! I'm still at the stage where I can't really see how I'd make good money so it's great to hear it's possible.

Truckingalong · 17/06/2017 23:49

I'm £24 in profit over 3 days but I'm taking it at a very relaxed pace. The super yacht is going to take a while to save up for!

strawberrygate · 18/06/2017 00:25

onwards it's weird. I do a tot up every couple of months and always think I won't have made much but it adds up to an amazing amount. Makes me laugh to think I have literally thousands in various bookies! Which mb site are you on?
