Just wanted to add that you should aim to make way over £10 from a £20 free bet. I usually aim for around 80%.

MissFitton · 16/10/2017 19:52

I had a good bit of luck yesterday - a £5 free Live Casino offer netted me £115 which was rather nice! I'm off next week so I'm going to try and do a few more sign up offers as I've still got a number to do.

bluedaisy1 · 16/10/2017 21:26

Good advice @HeyRoly. Will aim for that! First go at matching worked :-)

HeyRoly · 17/10/2017 10:28

Had a huge win at the bookies yesterday. £300. The ironic thing was, I had trouble laying the bet because I stupidly didn't check how big the liability was before I placed the back bet. Had to scramble and deposit some more, panicking that the odds would change...

Knew I should have started gambling Grin

Hi all, I have been trying to follow this thread for a couple of weeks and I have a couple of questions , apologies if they’ve been asked and I missed them. I’ve read about profit accumulator & I’m currently just waiting for my last bet of the free trial to settle(?) but I’ve also heard about oddsmonkey is one better than the other? Or is it personal preference? Also can I do the oddsmonkey free trial or would it be the same offers I’ve done through profit accumulator?. Also does it get easier to understand?
I think trying to place the bets in my free trial have taken me nearly an hour each time.

titchy · 19/10/2017 14:54

PA and OM are pretty much the same - except OM is £2 a month cheaper!

How come it took you an hour to place and lay your free bets? Are you looking manually or using the matcher which OM and PA provide (just filter to the bookie and minimum odds you need).

Thanks for your reply Titchy , I might try oddsmonkey first then as I only have a small pot to start with. I think it was a combination of things tbh I was trying to follow the video on pa but also got a bit confused when the odds on oddsmatcher were slightly different to those on betfair and the bookie sites. I did watch the videos a few times and read the instructions but it makes no mention of this happening, I probably overthought it a bit & I decided in the end to use the odds on the sites and entered them into the calculator. Also the oddsmatcher rating is mentioned in the pa videos but I couldn’t find an explanation of its importance if there is one?

titchy · 19/10/2017 20:16

Yeah the odds matcher will have a minute or two delay from the actual bookie and exchange sites. As long as there're close and you use the actual odds to put in the calculator. The percentage is how close a match exchange and bookie odds are - on a qualifying bet (i.e. put £10 on a premier league match get a free £5) they should be low odds and over 90% match if possible. Free bets go for 80%+

So how's everyone doing with their Bet365 accounts? I thought I'd have a bash at their 2 Up offer. Backed and laid Chelsea, and sure enough, as soon as the score became 2-0 they paid out. So I rushed to Betfair and cashed out my lay bet for £12. QL was £1 so that was an easy £11 profit.

Except... I think I was a bit hasty. The match ended in a draw so if I'd let the lay bet stand it would have won as well. Would've been a £90 profit Shock

Equally, Chelsea could have won and would have just had the £1 QL, but still!

People on the Oddsmonkey forums talk about "locking in" profit at half time in these situations, but I don't know how it's done. By making some other lay bet?

Iwishicouldflyfarfaraway · 19/10/2017 21:00

Thank you titchy I’m hoping to spend a little bit of time tomorrow attempting to do some more So fingers crossed. Do you only ever have one bet running at a time or do you do a couple?

titchy · 19/10/2017 21:05

Oh I have several! But I do have quite a lot of money in my exchange accounts. Well I did till my free £50 Bet365 won and took my b365 balance to £500!

I’ve just joined oddsmonkey premium for a £1 7 day trial (facebook1)
I seem to have completed most of the welcome offers , going to work through some casino offers this weekend. I made just under £300 last month, all spent now as had a household emergency ( but it stopped us using a credit card). I’m determined to try to make £100 a month now to put away for a holiday.

LittlePinguin · 20/10/2017 11:51

Haven't posted in here before but been lurking and was inspired to give it a go. Been at it 3 weeks and betting profit £259 plus got really lucky with betvictor £10 free casino credit last night and was able to withdraw £200 so that's me sorted for Christmas!

Trying not to spend too much time on it as single mum & work full time but it still takes me a while to place my bets. I could probably get more offers done when I speed up. First acca on the go with my betvictor free one so see how that goes!

Notacluetoo · 20/10/2017 12:01

I'm new to matched betting, though I've got the basics sorted out. Could anyone help me with wagering on slots? How do you know when you've wagered enough to be able to withdraw the cash? They all seem to have high wagering requirements, but I can't work out how I know when I've hit that target! Also, are offers like "deposit £10, get £10 free" on slots worth doing, or is it more likely I'll just lose a tenner? Thanks!

titchy · 20/10/2017 13:27

Generally slots aren't worth doing unless they give you free spins, or the wagering is low, say 10 x or less.

The return to player on slots tends to be around 95%, so if you have a free £10 which has to be wagered 20 x, that means you have to spend 20 x £10 = £200 before you can withdraw. At an rtp of 95%, of that £200 you'll probably only get £190 of it back, so you'll have spent £200, made £190 + £10 free, which is a net £0! And most people tend to lose all their stake before they can get to be able to have£200 to wager.

How much is it feasible to make a month once you move into reload offers if I have a few hours a week to dedicate to it?
Haven't looked into accas etc yet as still working through signup offers but is there more scope with these?

titchy · 20/10/2017 14:10

£50 a week easily as long as you haven't been gubbed by too many bookies.

OP posts:
M4Dad · 20/10/2017 14:17

Titchy,

I belong to a site where you all the free spins you get are wager free and if you deposit £20 a month you get entry into the "Slot Free Roll Tournaments" where if you get enough points you can win anywhere between 5 and 100 spins, all wager free, these tournaments are every 2 hours, 24/7. You also get a guaranteed free 15 spins every Tuesday on one of their new games, again, all wager free.

It's a fun and free way of playing slots occasionally and I'd say I "make" around £30 a month, but obviously, you really need to be disciplined - slots are a dangerous business to get into.

Autumnfalling · 21/10/2017 10:00

Can anyone help please

I placed my first qualifying bet on coral and lay bet on Betfair which was all fine

Then placed my 4 x free bets on coral at odds of 5.5. But half way through the odds changed to 4.5. Now I have two free bets at 5.5 and 2 at 4.5 so what do I do about the lay bet?

Thanks

titchy · 21/10/2017 10:51

Autumn - easiest is to do two lay bets - one at each of the odds.

MissFitton · 22/10/2017 11:04

Going to crack on with some more welcome offers this week. Have been gubbed by Coral with a free bet in my account they won't let me use!

titchy · 22/10/2017 11:08

Yeah Coral got me yesterday too, and i assume I won't get my Ladbrokes freebies today Sad

I used the skybet offer of a £10 free bet with no deposit and won there rather than in betfair , I can’t withdraw the money it says to add a card & try again which I’ve done and still can’t withdraw so I’m presuming it’s because I’ve not deposited anything. I was going to use it to place back bets to try to win it in the exchange but I’m unsure of what to select in the calculator would it be classed as a normal stake as it’s winnings rather than a freebie? Or is there another method to use? Hope that makes sense.

titchy · 22/10/2017 17:24

Use normal stake.

Thank you titchy , fingers crossed it works.
