An Acca is a multiple bet that each individual bet needs to be won in order for you to win the overall bet. So if your Acca has Man U, Spurs and Chelsea to win, and one of them draws, you've lost even if the other two win. However Betfair have an Acca market on the most popular combinations - check their current market for tomorrow's football and use your freebie on one you can lay.

In play - yes as it says on the tin! The odds change constantly though and the marchers don't work for that reason so the advice is normally to pick a football match and wait till half time to back and lay.

Casino bonus - use Blackjack if you can, otherwise high return slots and check the wagering requirement.

So I've gotten to grips with matched betting using the team profit website and was wondering if anyone could advise me as to what I could try next? I was thinking bingo but the team profit website seems to want you to sign up to the oddsmonkey premium for any guides on that, is it worth it? I was thinking of signing up with oddsmonkey once I was done with all the welcome offers anyway.

I'm getting a little frustrated waiting for money to clear back into my account before I can move onto the next welcome offer (I could just about start on the next one but don't want to confuse myself having too many going at once), so I would like to try doing something else alongside them.

titchy · 13/10/2017 09:19

To be honest I'd leave bingo a while. Are you getting any reload offers? Have you tried casino offers? Free spins?

Thanks titchy, I might just abandon the acca, my brain can only just cope with the basics!

titchy · 13/10/2017 10:32

Don't abandon it - it's easy when there's a Betfair market! Assuming a three - event acca is OK for your freebie, add Spurs, Chelsea and Burnley all to win at your bookie account and use the free bet as the stake. Then lay as normal at Betfair: Betfair

So I started this in april/may time. I've made I think around 1.5k.
New bookie offers have dried up and I do all the freebets emails I can but there's not loads. I've also done all the "bet x to get bet y" and all the rollover stuff.
What should I do now? The freebets clubs look so faffy just to get a couple of quid here and there. Horse refunds and extra places all look faffy -can you get much money from this?
I tried the betfair arcade thing last night which isn't risk free and ended up out of pocket.

titchy · 13/10/2017 10:56

Do you subscribe to OM or PA? They list all the reload available. Plus the weekly bet clubs which can add up to £60+ a week assuming your accounts are all intact. Some weeks are quieter than others but there's usually enough to make £50 a week - this weekend for example Ladbrokes have two inplay free bets if you bet £10 on Man U, Coral have risk free £10 on the cricket this afternoon, 10Bet have free bets everytime an Englishman scores on your losing bet, william hill have 4 extra places available on tomorrow's 3.40 at Newmakret. Sky have a price boost, William hill free spins etc.

I really need to figure out extra race places. Any chance of an idiot's guide titchy, because I read the Oddsmonkey guides and they weren't simple enough for me Blush

titchy · 13/10/2017 11:50

I'll try!

Back Neddy each way (NB put £10 in the stake and they'll take £20 - £10 for the win and £10 for the place - the latter pays a quarter what you'd get for the win). The places paid out depend on how many horses, but say they normally pay three places, but this race they're paying four. You lay the £10 win, and separately lay the £10 place. The exchanges have place markets - check Betfair's is the standard 3 places - often they have an extra place market as well. Make sure the matches are close as you would normally.

If Neddy comes in 4th you've won the place part of the bet at the bookies AND both lay bets as he wasn't the winner, not was he placed in the standard 3-places market.

Often several bookies have an extra place on the same race so you can back different horses which increases your chance of one of them coming in the required 4th place.

It's a gamble as you only win when your horse comes 4th, but you should be able to minimise the risk, and if more than one extra place is being paid (eg WH tomorrow) that also means you have a better chance of making money.

Yeh I have subscribed to oddsmonkey. I'm going to have a look properly as I think maybe I'm just beig lazy!

Whisky2014 · 13/10/2017 12:53

Right I'm doing the coral cricket and the ladbrokes ones. I will also do the coral 10 quid in play for watford vs arsenal.
Gona look for more :)

titchy · 13/10/2017 13:04

Good luck! To be honest you should be able to make £50 a week really easily - and that's £2,500 a year! It all mounts up!

Hi, I'm a newbie, only been doing this a month. I use profit accumulator for the oddmatching. I now have £100 free bets to use with Royal Panda, but they don't have this, or an equivalent on that site. I don't want to mess it up, what should I do?

titchy · 13/10/2017 13:14

You'll have to check the odds manually - go for popular events where the odds should be competitive. I can see they have Man C/Stoke to draw at 8.0 which is 10.0 at Smarkets to lay. That'll make you £7 for every £10 you back. If you have a hunt around the website though you should be able to find closer odds from another bet.

Neededastealthname · 13/10/2017 18:13

Not much in the way of reload offers yet but I've only just started. I think I'm going to sign up to oddsmonkey because I'd like to try casino slots but I'm not sure what I should be doing exactly!

ASauvignonADay · 14/10/2017 12:26

One thing to watch out for if you’re looking manually rather than using an oddsmatcher: make sure there is an enough money in the market. This keeps catching me out, and I know to check but forget and then spend ages refreshing in the hope my bet is matched, or having to fix it!

Frazzled74 · 14/10/2017 18:28

I've done loads of welcome offers now, and made £250 so I am really pleased but it's all a bit stagnant now,I don't know how to go about carrying on with it.

Alittlepotofrosie · 15/10/2017 19:30

I'm joining back in. I was on the earlier threads but life got in the way. I've just done paddypower/smarkets, can anyone remind me what other bookies you're not meant to use betfair exchange with?

Whisky2014 · 15/10/2017 23:10

Why not stick with smarkets since their commissions is lower?

Frazzled74 · 15/10/2017 23:48

Does anyone do the betway club? I'm being a bit thick but it says £10 free bet each week if £25 bet in multiples? And odds over 3.0. Does that mean I can place 2 x 12.50 bets at 3.0 each during the week or does multiples mean something else?

GardeningWithDynamite · 16/10/2017 07:40

@Frazzled74 - multiples means more than one result per bet. A single would be Man U to win against Chelsea. A multiple would be Man U, Tottenham and Burnley all to win against their respective teams. I haven't done this type yet but I believe for the popular ones there's a lay market all ready for you on Betfair. In particular, Sky do a price boost on a Friday/Saturday and lots of people lay that off so there's a betfair equivalent.

Frazzled74 · 16/10/2017 11:42

Ah thank you, I might leave that for a bit, sounds complicated.

bluedaisy1 · 16/10/2017 16:06

Hi, total beginner here. I'm a bit nervous about the 'liability' amount on the lay bids. I've done the qualifying bets and now have £20 free with Coral to use. Do I have to deposit the full liability amount into my exchange account? Everything that gives a half decent profit (ie above £10) has at least £200 in liability.

HeyRoly · 16/10/2017 16:11

Yeah, you need to have the full liability in the exchange because you need to give that up if lay bet loses. But remember if the lay bet loses, the back bet wins, so whatever you lose at the exchange moves over to the bookies. I know it's scary to see those amounts, but your money isn't at risk.

bluedaisy1 · 16/10/2017 16:16

thanks for the advice @HeyRoly Might have to build up slowly then. Think I understand how it all works - just scary jumping in!
