Yes steeple that's exactly it.

Ah ok thanks. I'm still going it alone, well with the help of team profit. I think I need to bite the bullet and sign up to oddsmonkey and get some guided help to keep making profit because some of it just goes over my head, I'm not totally stupid I promise! Lol

baggagereclaim · 29/09/2017 21:17

Thank you Titchy

I have layed it. I was hesitant as it has made me realise that I don't have a full grasp of how to fix an unmatched bet - what if there is never enough money in the market - even at slightly different odds?

I feel really silly because it wasn't a very big match so as Roly rightly says I should have done smaller bets. I was aware that this offer finishes in a few days so wanted to get through it quickly!

MissFitton · 29/09/2017 22:27

I'm another who will no doubt get gubbed by by Bet365 by the middle of next week for coming out of nowhere with a £200 bet! Even though I know my lay bets are matched it does seem an awful lot to bet on a football team (especially now I can't remember offhand which one it was! Grin)

I had a big win at the bookies too that I hoped would win at the exchange, I worry about withdrawing the lot incase it looks suspicious

titchy · 29/09/2017 23:50

Don't worry about withdrawing from bookies - most mug punters would do that so it doesn't look suspicious. Put it in your exchange! Leave £10 or so in as some bookies only offer free bets to account holders with some money in their accounts.

I'm confused, just backed a bet at £10 free bet 5.0, layed it at 5.8, costing £48. Calculator said I would make around £7. But now I've calculated myself that it will probably make a loss.

At those odds my calculator says you should have layed £6.92 for a £6.78 profit? Did you lay the whole £10?

OP posts:
titchy · 30/09/2017 10:42

If you did just back the extra £3 or so, but find a calculator so you know the exact amount!

OP posts:
Frazzled74 · 30/09/2017 10:55

This is what the calculator said! I placed a £10 bet, then layed it at betfair for £48 , what should I have done?

titchy · 30/09/2017 11:03

The calculator at the bottom says your lay stake is £6.96 - that's what you should have layed.... not the whole £10.

Frazzled74 · 30/09/2017 11:36

Oh I see now! Oh well , I have one more free bet so will know for that one. Thank you all for helping me.

titchy · 30/09/2017 12:14

Just back that one by a few more quid - you should still be able to make money off it.

OP posts:
Frazzled74 · 30/09/2017 13:30

Thank you, I just signed up for a free £5 bet on racebets and backed it. If the horse wins I will now get £40 cash from original bet and £25 worth of bets through second bet. If it loses, I get £58.

HeyRoly · 30/09/2017 15:20

I've had a bit of luck with Sky's Prize Machine lately. Five free spins on Magic Ian have given me wins of £27 and £12.

So I decided to do a few 25p spins with my own money, just for fun. I told myself I wasn't going to spend any more than £4.

I'm now £116 up Shock

titchy · 30/09/2017 16:15

Wow! (How's the wagering roly?) Wink

OP posts:
HeyRoly · 30/09/2017 17:09

Wagering at bet365? I haven't unlocked my £200 bonus yet because I haven't spent my initial £200. I'll do a few football bets tomorrow and Monday and that should be the last of it.

And then the hard work begins Grin

Who does an early pay out calculator? That sounds interesting.

LemonadeWithACherry · 30/09/2017 18:23

That's jammy HeyRoly! Well done profiting from the prize machine, I've had some free spins on Magic Ian from it too but they came to nowt.

I managed to have my first go on bingo today but didn't win. Still, nothing lost either.

HeyRoly · 30/09/2017 23:17

Prior to those wins, I considered a couple of quid to be a good Prize Machine win! That's why I figured that slot was worth a punt. My eyes nearly fell out of my head as the numbers kept climbing Grin

Quick question about wagering the Bet365 bonus. Do you overlay it so that, if the bet wins at the bookie, you don't lose any of it? I'm sure Oddsmonkey recommend that for rollover bonuses?

Also, I take it you calculate it as a free bet SNR? Or do you? Confused

MissFitton · 01/10/2017 09:30

My bet365 bets settle today so fingers crossed for losing at the bookies. I’m sure PA say you treat bonus cash (like the bet365 one) as ‘normal’ although I can’t remember why Grin

HeyRoly · 01/10/2017 15:57

Ugh! I messed up today. Bet on a horse last night and it was unmatched. Today, I completely forgot to see if it ever got matched. I was out when the race started and came home to find that only £6.20 of my £50odd lay stake got matched. So I lost £43. Really annoyed with myself!
