As the last thread is almost full, here is a nice fresh clean one.

In a nutshell, matched betting is a clever way of making ££££ from the bookies without ever having to gamble.

This is profit accumulator

This is odds monkey

Have read. TAKE YOUR TIME!

And enjoy the money Grin

MaidOfStars · 05/05/2017 14:44

Horse people.

I need to turn cash over quickly. Just bet on my first horse race at 3pm.

The odds change really quickly. I guess the closer the race, the quicker it is? I had to try a few times to work Oddsmatcher/bookie/Betfair so that the calculation was still valid.

How far in advance does this flurry happen? Is it calmer several hours ahead of a race?

HeyRoly · 05/05/2017 14:56

I've bet on a few horses and the odds change incredibly quickly. Matched betting in the last half hour before the race is almost impossible.

I find it too stressful so I tend to avoid races that aren't at least a couple of hours ahead.

From reading on OM some of the offers esp casino are gambling as there's no guarentee you will profit and risk losing deposit, but if it's +EV then you should profit over time but will be times you lose deposit.

Advice seems to be only ever deposit from profits you've earned then nobody will be worse off than when started MB, so your at £100 profit niw you could be down £20 this week from a casino offer but still be £80 up in total. Using the profit tracking spreadsheet and tracking ever sign up and other others entering every qualifying loss and profits helps show how much profit you've made that month, as well as altogether you can see which casino offer you didn't profit on and if it's worth doing their next promo.

There's a EV calc on OM where you enter details of offer and waging req etc, and it tells you it has a + EV and if it's worth doing.

It looks like accas and casinos are where people make the larger profits. I don't think I have the stomach for the stress lol, but I initially hoped to make £50 a week or £200 a month, and was thinking if I made over that in a month I may try the existing customer casino promos with some of the extra profits. If I don't hit target then any profits will be added to float and the following months target will start at £0 again, that way I'll always be up to £200 a month profit. I dunno, I'll see how it goes, have overpasses my £50 for this week, but not at £200 for may yet so will play it by ear and see what offers I get from existing casino accounts.

I'm hoping to do the big £50 ladbrokes offer this weekend :)

neonrainbow · 05/05/2017 15:01

Im only planning to go on the casinos only when it's completely free and I haven't had to deposit. So far I've had £15 from various bookies and have lost all of it but with the BetVictor one I think I can use it with blackjack and I kind of understand blackjack.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 05/05/2017 15:03

Neon, I'll pm you a link in ten mins or so.

neonrainbow · 05/05/2017 15:04

That's a good way to think of it overthinking re if you make over £200 a month.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 05/05/2017 15:04

There a BlackJack strategy on OM, it's a grid which tells you the best thing to do with each hand do ending in what dealer card is showing and your cards.

I'll pm you link in little bit.

neonrainbow · 05/05/2017 15:04

Thank you! Smile

Spookle · 05/05/2017 15:30

Neon I've just done all the BV £40 in the last few days and I just made sure to read everything very carefully at each step. My first match for the acca is tonight.

Sadly I didn't get anything from the £10 casino slots. My balance doubled (£40 to £80) in the first five minutes so I was hopeful of at least £10-20 but then I watched it all slip away with more downs than ups until I was back at my original balance.

Oh and when you do the acca and get to select 'use bonus' it is normal for the returns to change from however many £ on a 'normal' stake to N/A when using the bonus. I was stumped on how to proceed yesterday so posted on the PA forum this morning and got a quick answer from another member.

louisejxxx · 05/05/2017 17:18

Am I being thick? Is there a specific guide on a oddsmonkey for the bet victor sign up offer? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Spookle · 05/05/2017 17:37

I should think there is somewhere Louise. I'm on PA and their guide was very simple to follow.

I've just noticed we are going to need a new thread!

@ExpatMrs I hope you, MiniExpat and family are all well.

Does anyone remember who it was that started the original thread asking for money making ideas where MB was first mentioned? I hope she has been able to give it a try and make some money.

louisejxxx · 05/05/2017 18:12

I'd start a new one but I'm crap at thinking of witty thread titles 😂

Spookle · 05/05/2017 19:01

I don't know if it's witty.. but for some reason this just popped into my head.. Grin

Anyone else needing Tottenham to win the match tonight?

Today I've done four bets, one qualifier and three free, on this match with a total profit of £25 ish to come. I'm hoping it all ends up back in the exchange.

SierraJensen · 05/05/2017 19:15

I don't care who wins but hoping not a draw as have about 20p in the exchange right now!

louisejxxx · 05/05/2017 19:21

Ive bet on a draw so in theory my money should end up at the exchange as Tottenham should win by a country mile.

Unfortunately nothing apart from Sunday matches showing up on oddsmonkey for me (with William hill) so I'll have to wait until then for the next couple of free bets to play out.

TessTube · 05/05/2017 19:42

Ha! Go for it!

zebrano · 05/05/2017 19:43

Yay, I got my first WH reload offer. Feel chuffed! Got a few things set up for this weekend, just like you guys I'm hoping Tottenham wins so the money goes in the exchange.

titchy · 05/05/2017 19:49

Just had my second WH reload and a Stan James reload that need using this weekend - but have less than a tenner in the exchange, with about £200 in liability tied up so desperate for Spurs to win!!!

Would have been ok if my long odds outsider hadn't won his afternoon - damn horse!

Spookle · 05/05/2017 19:49

Three draws and then I splashed out on a W.Ham win as I wanted the higher odds. First time I've gone above 5.5 and a big chunk of liability.

Louise if you have the time and are confident you can have a go at self matching. I've found several myself when the oddsmatcher has been a bit bare.

I have the bookie in one window and exchange in another. Find the main pages on both for UK league matches. I start with Premier and I am able to see all the matches and odds coming up in the next few days on both sites. I cross check the odds and if nothing takes my fancy I look at Championship, then League 1 then L2.

titchy · 05/05/2017 19:53

You can use the oddsmonkey tool as well - the odds don't tend to vary hugely between one bookie and another.

Spookle · 05/05/2017 20:02

I've been brave and started a new thread.

MB new thread V3
