As the last thread is almost full, here is a nice fresh clean one.

In a nutshell, matched betting is a clever way of making ££££ from the bookies without ever having to gamble.

This is profit accumulator

This is odds monkey

Have read. TAKE YOUR TIME!

And enjoy the money Grin

You've got to do the bets first before getting the free ones

1.50 up from Betfair!! Whoop. Grin

OverthinkingSpartacus · 04/05/2017 16:25

For those wanting to have a go at accumulators, OM have training guide for risk free accumulater with dabblebet.

Re gambling.
I can see why pps are uncomfortable with mentions of winning gambles and feel it's promoting gambling, im kind of in the fence.

On the one hand, I don't want anyone to lose their real money by gambling instead of matched betting. But on the other, we are adults and all should have done our reading and research, so are aware of the risks of gambling, have read about the risks and advice not to venture in to matched betting if you have addictive tendencies, that if you think you'll be suckered in, then it's not wise to do this, if someone's ignored that it's themselves to blame and not that of pps who've posted the odd positive gambling experience. They will be more likely to be suckered in by the risky casino offers etc than a person saying they've won on a gamble. I do worry about people choosing to ignoring advice about not doing any matched betting if you feel you'll be sucked in easily, and going ahead anyway, I don't want people to lose all their actual money.

I don't think anyone's a dick for being concerned.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/05/2017 16:31

Ok, so I'm ok to do my qualifying get with them?.

I have a £20 free bet with Betfair from going through pa. no idea what to do with that.

louisejxxx · 04/05/2017 16:59

Yes you're fine to do it fluffy, as your free bets won't show up until your qualifying bet has been settled.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/05/2017 17:10

Thanks. I need to get a grip on this!.

louisejxxx · 04/05/2017 17:17

You'll be fine. I find it's really important to read the terms and conditions of the offer when you sign up - they aren't usually too long and it does normally answer questions that you'd naturally think of e.g what odds do I need to bet on for it to count, when do I get the free bets etc.

louisejxxx · 04/05/2017 17:27

William Hill are my new favourite people! Requested a withdrawal last night and the money has already landed in my account Shock

Now I don't know whether to do the reload offer that I had come through from sky earlier, or signup to another new bookie!

TessTube · 04/05/2017 17:59

I got nothing from Sky today, the scoundrels.

louisejxxx · 04/05/2017 18:01

I think I'm going to do it just because they seem an ok one to keep on side, even though the offer is only bet £5 and get a free £5 bet....it's better than nothing!

Mrscog · 04/05/2017 18:03

Bugger - just made my first mistake! Didn't choose the WH free bet so I've used some of my winnings on bet! I suppose it's a relatively cost neutral way of transferring money to the exchange as long as it loses! And I suppose it's a bit of a mug bet.

TessTube · 04/05/2017 18:03

Yes they always say to do every single one, all those fivers add up!

TessTube · 04/05/2017 18:04

Did you lay it as Free SNR mrs c?

Might need to amend if so.

Mrscog · 04/05/2017 18:08

What's Free SNR?

louisejxxx · 04/05/2017 18:59

It basically means your free bet (which for most bookies will be SNR or "stake not returned"...on most odds calculators there is a check box where you select if it's your qualifying bet or a free bet.

MaidOfStars · 04/05/2017 19:05

Cog
If you have layed the bet for a stake determined by the back bet being a free one, you will not have layed enough of a stake.

Recalculate as if it is a qualifying bet. Work out the stake difference between the qualifier and a free bet. Lay the difference at the same odds as the first lay.

Mrscog · 04/05/2017 19:12

Ah I see - that makes sense - unfortunately it would have been too late anyway so I lost about £2.

Never mind - live and learn :)

NewUserName01 · 04/05/2017 19:28

I'm wondering if I've cocked up on 138. I decided to deposit £15 instead of £10 so as not to look too suspicious. Placed my trigger bet using the £15 but have just seen in the small print:

Maximum stake allowed is £/€10.

Have I messed up? Will I not qualify for my free bet now?

I seem to be making more mistakes as I go along. Confused

TessTube · 04/05/2017 19:30

Ah never mind!

I'm doing a few reloads today.

I'm trying the 4 means more offer at William Hill - 25% bonus as free bets it 4 or more goals scored in the Man U game tonight

Plus the coral - bet at least a tenner on Sunday's games and get a casino bonus.

Both could be for very little return though!

TessTube · 04/05/2017 19:31

No I think you are ok there i bet more than the minimum and got my free bet - you have to go on live chat and ask for it though.

But after the bet is settled.

Spookle · 04/05/2017 20:01

Has anyone done the acca part of the Betvictor free bet?

I'm a bit wary of proceeding as when I select to use my free bonus it says my return will be £0.

I've used the PA accamatcher and calculator, made my five selections in order, entered my £10 stake into accumulator 5/1, it shows returns as £54 but when I select to use the free bet (expires Sat pm) my return becomes £0.

Dag nam it! There's nothing about this happening on the PA 'how to', nor the forum, and no easily findable result in Google either.

TessTube · 04/05/2017 20:26

Sorry no, I wonder why it would do that! Sometimes there is a thread discussing the offers on PA and there might be some advice there.

TessTube · 04/05/2017 20:50

I forgot to do a lay so I had to place it in play but the odds had drifted down on smarkets so it looks as if I've made money on the qualifier. Is this accidental arbing or shit maths I wonder?

Grin
Redactio · 04/05/2017 21:04

Tess Tube - thats accidental arbing, but it's good when it happens. The quickly shifting odds is a good reason why inplay bets are best placed at half time.

TessTube · 04/05/2017 21:59

I did the back bet ages ago, it was only a bit of luck I noticed I hadn't put it on.

Thank goodness as the back bet lost.

Choconuts · 04/05/2017 22:22

Has anyone withdrawn from 118Bet? I've won my bet there and wondered if they paid out ok?
