As the last thread is almost full, here is a nice fresh clean one.

In a nutshell, matched betting is a clever way of making ££££ from the bookies without ever having to gamble.

This is profit accumulator

This is odds monkey

Yeah, the direct links don't work for me on my phone either, it's a massive PITA but I don't have a working laptop so... Hmm

Mrscog · 24/04/2017 19:58

Just done my qualifying bet on William Hill, think I'll only lose 63p so that's better than my first quali bet where I lost 81p!

louisejxxx · 24/04/2017 19:59

Finally managed to put some extra funds in my spare bank account and have now done my qualifying bet for betfred. The downside is the match is on Wednesday but I'm hoping my free £30 will come through quickly and I'll be able to do that bet on Wednesday too.

sherrifffatman · 24/04/2017 20:03

Here's my referral link for Skrill if anyone wants it
account.skrill.com/signup?rid=92566078

I'm up to £129 now, I still need to do Paddy Power free bets but have to put more cash in Smarkets first.
Btw, the Boylesports offer goes on and on, it keeps giving you another £10 for about 7 goes I think!

imnottoofussed · 24/04/2017 20:32

I put in £200 float and have made £275 since I started on Thursday 13th April. It gets easier to do more once you have a higher betfair balance.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 24/04/2017 20:47

TBH I would be very wary of using direct links. Yes, Oddsmonkey mask the link so they can't see where you come from, but they can see that you went directly to that page which could look suspicious.

I am now a massive £4 up (including -£15 for Oddsmonkey subscription), but I have been going at it much slower than some of you. Used my free Coral bets last weekend, and today used £20/£30 of my free Betfred bets (still waiting for two of those to come in)

neonrainbow · 24/04/2017 20:47

I've made £36 off my first two free bets but have had to withdraw 20 so i can sign up to oddsmonkey and get my next free bet. I can never seem to find time to get it done though!

neonrainbow · 24/04/2017 20:48

I put £100 into my betfair float and £20 into coral and betfred. I'm still waiting on cashback through quidco for signing up to coral so I've had to open a claim. If that comes through it will be another £16.

titchy · 24/04/2017 20:52

Anyone relying on withdrawing money from bookies just be warned it can take several days for the withdrawal to get back to your bank account.

Paddypower do it in four hours though.

DeleteOrDecay · 24/04/2017 21:07

Right I think I'll start with £50 float to begin with, just in case I mess up at least I won't have lost too much. Then look to increasing it.

I'm going to give it a go tomorrow I think, once the kids are in bed. I need to get myself a pretty notebook to write everything down in.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 24/04/2017 21:36

I'm waiting for two withdrawals where I've won at the bookmakers end so that I can put back into betfair for liability and deposit for the next qualifying bet.

The free £10 bet offer from skybet doesn't require a deposit so I've used that today for a profit of £8. i also made £7 or so from free £10 betfred bet which I've today also. Giving me £15 profit for today. I've used that to sign up to odds monkey. Their calculater is accurate, to the penny ime, whereas profit accumulater one has always been a few pence out with liability figures.

I signed up for the sunbets, have made my qualifying bet at a loss of 50p and then got told I have to verify myself, have uploaded passport photo and and have to wait up to 72 hours to have it confirmed. I placed a £10 instead of the needed £5 as recommended on OM to avoid triggering my account as matched betting so hopefully it's just routine thing.

I can use the free bet but I'm waiting just in case, I'm worried if it wins at the sun end and they don't/won't/can't verify me I won't be able to withdraw which will tie up a good chunk of cash.

I've opened skrill account using referel link above. Current account is all over the place and it's annoying me :)

I'm having so much fun doing this and love reading how much you've all made. Thank you som much to everyone who's contributed to the threads, I'd never have known about this without you brilliant women of MN Flowers

OverthinkingSpartacus · 24/04/2017 21:42

RE direct links.

I'm not clicking any at all unless it's for cashback website.

For the sign up offers, I've just typed the "bookmakers name + sign up offer" into Google and clicked to the site to create new account that way.

For bets I've just navigated the bookmakers site myself, rather than landing straight at the betting page, it only takes a few extra seconds and hopefully will look authentic.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 24/04/2017 21:46

@deleteordecay

I started using BulletJournal about a year ago after reading about it here, I'm logging everything in that pretty notebook :)

I used to be shit at buying diary but not maintaining it, the bunker journal system is amazing and I've kept it up easily, I love how it's isn't just for appointments etc but also like a scrapbook/tracker/journal all in one.

TessTube · 24/04/2017 22:10

I had an email from Stan James - free fiver to play any bonus game.

You have to wager it x30 to withdraw (£150) but I still won something

Make sure your real account is empty if you do it though as it would use that first otherwise after the bonus fiver is gone.

HeyRoly · 24/04/2017 22:27

I really can't get my head around this wagering thing. I even read a tutorial on Oddsmonkey and still don't get it.

At least it means I'm unlikely to be tempted to earn money outside of matched betting I suppose!

neonrainbow · 24/04/2017 22:39

I almost messed up... my lay bet on a qualifier didn't get immediately matched because i used slightly the wrong odds. I was just panicking and googling what the hell to do, refreshed betfair and suddenly it was matched. Lesson learned!

HeyRoly · 24/04/2017 23:06

That's happened to me before neon. Noticed it was unmatched, thought "shit!" but it got matched soon afterwards. I think as long as the stake you enter isn't massive, and it's an event that isn't super obscure, you're generally safe.

Truckingalong · 24/04/2017 23:15

After cocking up my qualifying bet, I got my free £20 bet at Coral. Trouble is, I can't find any football matches with odds over about 2. Where am I going wrong?

HeyRoly · 24/04/2017 23:26

Maybe football is the wrong sport to go for. You get lots of matches Saturday-Monday, on the whole, but not so many Tues-Fri (I don't follow football so my knowledge of fixtures comes from having a husband/dad who's into football - I may be generalising way too much!).

What about horses? I'm loathe to start betting on really obscure things for fear of being dubbed, but horse races in the U.K., I figured was fair game.

GrimDamnFanjo · 24/04/2017 23:36

I'm around £220 in profit now.
I've a fair bit tied up at the exchange and I'm moving onto the more challenging offers - which is scary - and requires me to concentrate!
I made an error on a triple the odds bet - not enogh at the exchange - luckily I spotted it and laid another to cover it. That was a bit challenging but another lesson learnt.
I've also applied for a basic bank account.

TessTube · 24/04/2017 23:40

How many of the offers have you done grim?

HappyAxolotl · 25/04/2017 06:54

Aargh, I cocked up a qualifier. The odds were too low to get my free bets. Luckily I did end up £5+ at the bookie which meant I lost about 70p at the exchange. Plus my tenner back at the bookie which I've bet on a match with qualifying odds and will be about another 70p down after that.

Verticalvenetianblinds · 25/04/2017 07:04

I've just done the Grosvenor casino offer. Deposited £5 did my thing.... But the offer seems to have changed, its deposit £20 for a £20 free bet. Irritated! And it still says £5 bet for £20 free on odds monkey. Think I might contact them when kids are in school

Choconuts · 25/04/2017 07:43

I would be careful about contacting them chasing free bets vertical apparently that's one of the things that flags your account for gubbing.

Verticalvenetianblinds · 25/04/2017 08:07

I meant odds monkey
