Thanks for your reply cozietoesie. That link is very useful. It is very hard to put into words what I really want to say to her without her getting really upset and then falling out with us. She will only dig her heels in more. All she can talk about is how well other people are doing, "She is Platinum", "they have achieved Gold and are earning £££s". She doesn't even know these people, just what she has heard or read. Hope one day soon she sees the light.Hmm

Babblehag · 03/11/2016 16:39

Looks like another mlm group has popped up, this one actually may rival all the others that are out there with their miles cheaper than forever living aloe range, cheaper than actilabs range of make up (still not as cheap as avon - or as much range) and they'll be bringing out slimming and other pills that would possibly rival jp. More info here guessing this will be the next big thing, if it takes off of course.

cozietoesie · 03/11/2016 16:53

Interestingly, the picture of the people under 'opportunity' is the same - precisely the same as far as I can see - as that in the 'opportunity' section of ......a certain other MLM. I wonder if they're just using stock photos and photoshopping brand details onto the blank bit? Smile

Babblehag · 03/11/2016 17:04

Damn it cant find the one you mean cozie, tbh I thought they'd copied it from some random college prospectus.

Babblehag · 03/11/2016 17:09

But I did have a quick snoop on the jp site and I'm incredibly surprised at the amount of misleading pictures of the juicy ripe fruits they claim is in there products, I'm sorry but I cannot fathom how they can claim their magic beans are better than the fruit and veg you can get much cheaper in Aldi.

Spongebobette · 03/11/2016 18:48

Spongebobette · 03/11/2016 20:25

Wouldn't you want clean gizzards and a supercharged metabolism??

Babblehag · 03/11/2016 20:32

Oohhh no, no ta, I like my coffee with actual coffee in thanks. No doubt they'd be pushing me to buy the tat, looks like they have a start up kit too. Nope, I'll stick to my Avon freebies ta Grin

FM isn't new - been around for a while selling perfumes that are copies of popular perfumes etc. All a bit cheap and nasty.

Babblehag · 04/11/2016 21:24

oooooh its that one!!!

Jonsey32 · 04/11/2016 21:31

Hello!
I know I only pop up occasionally to ask the odd random question but I am an avid follower!
My question tonight is...
I see top bots from one mlm company jump ship to another and they "claim" to be at the top of their new company almost straight away.
How does that work? Surely as a pyramid they'd have to start at the bottom but how do they reach "multiple" six figure salaries almost immediately?

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 04/11/2016 21:37

Argh. I'm late to this thread. One of my FB friends has just started selling Herbalife. The tripe that she spouts every day...

I presume the consensus of the last twenty five threads is that there's no reasoning with stupid? Ignore and block?

cazzyg · 04/11/2016 21:40

You can get to the top quite quickly if you can bring a ready made team with you......

ambler21 · 04/11/2016 22:30

ATruth Yup you've pretty much hit the nail on the head. Herbalife (HLF) is a particularly interesting example though because it's recently been investigated by the Federal Trade Commission in America.

HLF have been fined heavily and had restrictions placed on their business practices. It's a long story but ultimately if HLF fails (and it looks as if they might) it may impact on the rest of the MLM industry. We can but hope that people finally see the MLM opportunity for the snake oil it is and the house of cards starts to collapse.

There are many resources available, about HLF in particular, online. One of those sources is David Brear who was a regular contributor on these threads. His blog can be found here mlmtheamericandreammadenightmare.blogspot.co.uk/
The top two articles are specific to HLF.

Robert Fitzpatrick, who wrote the open letter in the top blogpost on David's blog, is one of the world authorities on MLM scams as is David himself.

Hi Bot Watchers! Long time no see!

I think I may be back for a while! I think I missed the last 3 or 4 threads or so. Nice to be back!

This morning DP and I sat giggling away at the skinny lard and the classic "99% of MLM success is failure" Grin

Ooh, FL have released their Christmas advert.

Well, they kept it in the spirit of FL. Parents are fully focussing on their own 'careers' as opposed to their child DGF will babysit and only pay attention when said child creates a pretty gingerbread house.

According to the comments this tugs at the heart strings, but as someone who weeps at the sight of a snowman travelling to buy his snowlady gloves for Christmas to keep her warm, I can safely say this advert is a pile of horse shite and absolutely NOT in the spirit of Christmas.

BSintolerant · 05/11/2016 21:05

In the earlier versions of the video (which ended up on the cutting room floor) the snowlady bought her snowman a willy warmer, which caused more problems than it solved. When his willy melted he grabbed the carrot off his face and had his wicked way with the snowlady. They were rudely interrupted by the Easter Bunny (who was hiding behind an aloe bush - the dirty little voyeur) who ate the carrot.

Disgusting! 😂

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 05/11/2016 22:56

I just need watched the FL Christmas advert. I don't get it. What's the message? Ignore your kids and they'll be amazing?
