Personally?

I'd post a link to Timeless Vie or Botwatch. Smile But other posters may have other thoughts. Wink

GoldTippedFeather · 27/10/2016 00:15

Ah crap, thanks for the research. She has not once posted about anyone else getting involved though or to contact her for an amazing opportunity, which is what is confusing me. She is very shy and timid so I can't imagine her wanting to sell anything to anyone. More research tells me that her boss appears to be setting up their scheme in another country. We will have to see how it all pans out.

IamNotDarling · 27/10/2016 00:22

My FLBot has wound down her 'business' and now only takes orders from repeat customers. She seems to think she has failed because 'there are loads of success stories.' I feel so bad for her, I hope she doesn't get sucked in again in the future.

cozietoesie · 27/10/2016 00:33

You could always refer her to botwatch. Here's a link.

In particular, the 'Directory of MLM information' has some further links to material which she might find interesting. The 'Having Doubts' section could be useful for her. Smile

cozietoesie · 27/10/2016 00:35

My apologies. That should be 'Having Second Thoughts' of course.

keeptheaspidistra · 27/10/2016 09:50

Just read the timeless vie Younique charity rip off posts. A couple of youniuque reps, I know, who were pushing this a few weeks back are actually children and families social workers (not quite making enough to sack the day job). Pisses me off that Local Authorities allow the people they employ to safe guard families in the week to spout this crap and exploit people in their own time. I think the values of one profession go completely against the other

Spongebobette · 27/10/2016 10:16

My goodness Aspidistra if there is even the slightest crossover between the two it would be exploitative and unprofessional. I hope that this is not the case

keeptheaspidistra · 27/10/2016 16:54

As far as I am aware they are not selling/recruiting amongst the families they work with. But I did see them use their business pages to imply purchasing that specific set would result in a charitable donation from the profits being made. Which is clearly a load of bollocks from what I've read. I don't know how people who make their real living from supporting victims of abuse can then go on to decieve people using guilt tripping about DV to make a few extra pennies

BSintolerant · 27/10/2016 18:18

I saw this in December's Edition of Psychologies Magazine. Does it smell of MLM to you?

Yup

BSintolerant · 27/10/2016 22:58

That ad must've cost a fortune.

JaniceBattersby · 28/10/2016 16:46

Might the Uber ruling have implications for MLM schemes, do you think? I would say those people for whom it is their only income should be classed as employees (and to that end I'm guessing they're certainly earning well below minimum wage)

cozietoesie · 28/10/2016 19:18

I don't think it would impact on MLMs - but let me mull it over.

CantstandmLMs · 28/10/2016 19:47

I haven't posted before but love these threads. I read the threads before I had any bots...I know have 2 quite active ones and one that's a bit half arsed 😂 Anyway my most active bot is onto a new one flogging tea and just posted this shocker...

Welcome, Cant. Smile

Just a word to the wise - for all posters. Remember not to post anything, including pictures, that has identifying details in it. (You can always report your own post, if you forget, and ask MNHQ to remove it.)

BSintolerant · 28/10/2016 23:44

Janice - I wondered about the Uber ruling too. It'll be very interesting to see how that develops.

MyCatsHateMLMtoo · 29/10/2016 20:26

Cant, that is a shocking pic Shock.

I've had a look at the fb page and the woman fronting it is apparently a Yellow Status presenter with Younique. This new MLM she is involved in is called Vida Divina and was started with former Total Life Changes President Amand Puyolt and his wife Dr Esther Ramos. They produce this miracle tea that they allegedly claim cures many diseases, illnesses and syndromes.

Of course, there appears to be NO evidence of peer reviewed medical trials that substantiate these claims. Unless anyone here can produce links that is Hmm.

Additionally, a look at the website shows it to be extremely skimpy on facts, or any information at all; there is no information about the Compensation Plan, for example.

All in all, a new MLM that has crossed the pond via a woman living in Southampton who has already got many interested parties wanting to buy the tea to 'loose' weight Grin.

CantstandmLMs · 30/10/2016 00:40

Yes I noticed on another post, possibly on her personal page a friend has actually asked for peer reviewed evidence on how the tea burns fat and her reply was "it's not fat you burn hun" 😂

cozietoesie · 30/10/2016 09:44

By the way, does anyone know how dear CAM's family are doing?

ScarletSienna · 30/10/2016 09:51

Hello. I've been reading with interest but not sure if this has been covered already so apologies if it has.

I'm seeing on FB a new MLM (I think) where no company name is mentioned at all. Nothing. Just the usual motivational quotes and the bonuses and 'promotions' people are getting. Oh and lots of photos of them on their laptops taking part in webinars. The only information that's ever given is that you get cash back for purchases or discounts on things. I can't work out what it is but certainly am not going to PM for more information to 'change my life'.

Any ideas!

Toobusytowee · 30/10/2016 09:54

It's difficult to tell how her family are doing just by Facebook but I know her family have gone back to the Middle East. Her husband was asking friends to help with childcare. It must be really difficult for him trying to remodel his life.

LunaLoveg00d · 30/10/2016 10:09

Was at a "craft fair" in the community room of our local Waitrose yesterday and among the people selling lovely jewellery, handmade cards and knitted goods was a Forever Living rep.

Took comfort from the fact she seemed to be getting practically zero interest.

MyCatsHateMLMtoo · 30/10/2016 10:10

Cant, found that post and have added a reply. As you can see I have removed any identifying names to preserve anonymity.

Hi Scarlet, this seems to be a growing trend to try to pique curiosity from friends on the bots' fb page. They are supposed to ask "what are you doing?" Then she can reply "I'm pm you, hun" Grin. Whatever it is, it is bad news for your bank balance, I can assure you Hmm.
