She might find it useful to read botwatchblog, in particular this post.

acatcalledjohn · 04/01/2017 13:20

I'd agree with acat on this one. Tell her not to touch it with a bargepole.

Are you saying you normally don't agree with me? Wink

It's bad enough with the usual lot being secretive with regards to pricing and the 'inbox me hun' tactics, but any company that remain vague and you can't find anything concrete on at all is to be avoided at all cost. At least we know that Younique sell shit make up and Juice Plus sell milled cardboard.

SerialBodenReturner · 04/01/2017 13:35

I know someone who is FB friends with one of the uber-Bots mentioned on the thread, so I see some of her posts and am equally fascinated and horrified by her FB.

Though what bemuses me is that she clearly has a v nice house and - from the look of it - lifestyle. Do we think she's one of the lucky ones who got in early and actually makes some money, or is it just that Mr Bot has a decent job? Or they have big cc bills...

BSintolerant · 04/01/2017 13:57

.... or she's making money out of training tools. No pun intended.

cozietoesie · 04/01/2017 15:09

Who knows? You just have to look at the real figures though. Wink

Spongebobette · 04/01/2017 15:11

Yes indeed all these training/ success days/ mindset blueprints cost money and it goes up the pyramid

We employed ppl are actually paid to go to training events, are paid expenses too. Imagine!

cozietoesie · 04/01/2017 15:17

Goodness, Sponge. You're so NEGATIVE! Grin

Spongebobette · 04/01/2017 15:34

I'm a total neghead and a hater.

Heh heh

SerialBodenReturner · 04/01/2017 15:46

Yes, I'd never realised that all those training etc events (#soinspired) all contributed to senior bots' earnings, but it makes total sense. No wonder they're always plugging them.

BSintolerant · 04/01/2017 15:59

You have to buy your own coffee at success days, it's not part of the entrance fee. Tight bastards!

Coffee is considered to be a drug and therefore forbidden by Mormons who own most of these pyramid schemes.

That said I'd rather provide my own refreshments just in case those available for purchase have been adulterated with brainwashing serums. You can't be too careful, especially if KoolAid's on the menu. Wink

FromIbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 04/01/2017 16:19

Can you imagine if your employer said that they'd like you to attend a work-related daylong session and that it was to be held a couple of hours drive away, you'd have to finance your journey there and back yourself, buy your own coffee/lunch etc.

Then they add that the session involves just listening to how great a company they are, listening to other colleagues tell you how great and how successful they are.

Finally to add insult to injury they say you won't be paid to go...... Oh and that it will be on a weekend day so you'll have to palm your kids off on someone in order to attend.

I don't know about you but it wouldn't go down where I work!

JellyWitch · 04/01/2017 16:23

^ sounds like the public sector!!

fitgirl26 · 04/01/2017 17:04

^ also sounds like being a Les Mills (Body Pump/Step/Combat etc) instructor! Good job we love what we do Grin

Spongebobette · 04/01/2017 18:46

Lots of high up bots are sending each other gifts and posting them on FB 'thank you for all you do'
'I'm so grateful!

BARF

BSintolerant · 04/01/2017 20:47

I'm a lurker on this thread...just popping up to say keep up the good work and show you this active thread I'm following today.

Sean1984 · 04/01/2017 22:19

now I have to keep 3 different MN threads open on my phoneSmileXmas Smile haha,

CheekySmile · 04/01/2017 23:50

Is JFTP MLM though? I looked in to it earlier in the year on these threads and didn't think there was a recruiting to build a downline element to it and it was just very expensive direct selling. Or has it changed now?

cozietoesie · 05/01/2017 00:07

Not every organisation involves MLM. Smile

cozietoesie · 05/01/2017 00:12

They do change, though, Cheeky. Some of them. Perhaps where the original financial model isn't working so well? Just add a 'dash of this and a dab of that'.

ittookme1hrtothinkofthisname · 05/01/2017 00:34

I think the thread mentions it changed and there is now a recruiting element?

FromIbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 05/01/2017 10:08

January really is the month for spurious claims isn't it?

What next? "Eeek I've lost 4lbs already simply by opening the C9 cleanse box......." ? Wink

Funny how the weight never stays off and these bots keep re-doing these cleanses.

CheekySmile · 05/01/2017 13:50

I'm aware of that Cozie hence my question. Looking in to JFTP again it isn't MLM, the company recruits sellers but the sellers have no need to recruit others underneath them. It's simply direct selling. Still wouldn't touch it with a tent pole...

acatcalledjohn · 05/01/2017 14:24

Anyone seen today's TV post re a dodgy ingredient in FL products?

https://www.facebook.com/timelessvie/posts/1844172019187151

If FBOs are found to sell the bad stock after the deadline, what consequences do they face? After all, it's not something which FL is able to police.
