Article here about doping, supplements and atheletes. Three or four MLM companies are mentioned. The ethics and efficacy of supplements used in such a way is discussed. www.statnews.com/2016/08/01/olympic-sponsorship-dietary-supplements/

cozietoesie · 09/08/2016 22:25

I wouldn't be too pessimistic, Delurker. Bitchiness etc is often a symptom of negative pressure. You just need to ask yourself why there should be any? Smile

ForeverYazoonique · 09/08/2016 23:48

Good point cozie - when all is going well it's a bit easier to be nicer, innit?

CamelsAndMaus · 10/08/2016 01:49

Interesting that she is a former Olympic swimmer.........

YouOKHun · 10/08/2016 08:30

I am sure everyone has seen this. Government money used to buy into MLM 'opportunity'??

gottaloveascamhun · 10/08/2016 08:34

Youokhun that can't be true, surely?!

YouOKHun · 10/08/2016 09:07

Gotta yep it's true. youinque and Mary Kay playing the same game and it makes me really mad. Have a look at Timeless Vie's Twitter feed - one girl on Twitter being encouraged to go for a Mary Kay interview by Job Centre apparently. Clearly JC need educating (or the employee is a bot and doing something underhand) or potential bots are being advised to approach Benefits giving half truths to get their money - can the Benefits people really be OK with this?😳

JaniceBattersby · 10/08/2016 12:19

I did an FOI on the number of people joining MLMs using help from the Jobcentre. There aren't many. I'll send it over to Timeless Vie so she can take a look at it.

YouOKHun · 10/08/2016 12:24

Interesting Janice and glad there aren't many but there shouldn't be any!

Spongebobette · 10/08/2016 15:38

New vid by Ariix humble bot on her FB page complete with sly digs at her previous aloe based MLM. Curious positives about Ariix apparently include the fact that you'll seldom see the name, it's all about branding the person, so the market won't become saturated. Because it's best that people don't know about the products??

Spongebobette · 10/08/2016 15:41

Also, Is it true that you have to shift £1000 of product in FL to get paid a bonus?

cozietoesie · 10/08/2016 16:29

Was the word 'branding' actually used?

It would be most ......unfortunate if it were. Smile

Spongebobette · 10/08/2016 16:42

I believe that if you examine the top bots' derrières you will see that someone has used a branding iron on them so that they can't switch MLMs

Chihuahualala · 10/08/2016 18:26

A certain top FL bot has even used the Duke of Westminster's death as a "look at my fabulous life" hook today - ffs

Delurker2016 · 10/08/2016 22:03

To be 4cc active yes it's around £900. BUT it used to be sponsor 2 people (2cc each) then retail 1cc, that was before the change to the UK was brought in where it's now only 1.085cc for a sponsor, hence why you are seeing everyone suddenly flogging products.

keeptheaspidistra · 11/08/2016 10:04

Sponge I was interested about the not publicising the products or brand online too. I think it's a very clever strategy, I really do. I found these threads because I was researching FL after becoming irritated by being bombarded by forever sellers on facebook so actively avoiding that seems good business sense.
However... Surely any company confident with its own products would want to advertise them?! But it's not about that is it? It's about teams, compensation plans etc. The products are an after thought.
I mentioned a video earlier which discusses "rebranding"- which is actually a deceitful way of getting customers by deliberately preventing them from being able to research clean 9s. If your selling a product which is ingested and likely to have an impact upon someone's health I think its pretty crappy to sell it in a way that stops people researching reviews etc until they part with their money

Spongebobette · 11/08/2016 10:22

They think they are being super clever at what they think is 'marketing' Aspidistra but it's just dishonesty.

CamelsAndMaus · 11/08/2016 10:33

From your international correspondent - UNO (Unlimited Network of Opportunities) are now off to Hong Kong (see image).

It's interesting that Ms. Roseanne Malobago does not appear to have any internet presence beyond that posted by a "high ranking" UNO uber bot - (I'm hoping I can get someone to translate the youtube videos) despite being a "self made millionaire".

Perusing their UK FB site is interesting.

keeptheaspidistra · 11/08/2016 10:40

Agreed Sponge. I've seen a couple of videos and I've not got a clue what the new business is about. Seems to be recruiting people to recruit. Being secretive about the products makes it seem more pyramidy to me.

keeptheaspidistra · 11/08/2016 10:41

What is the oirigins of humble?

BSintolerant · 12/08/2016 11:24

Someone found her under an aloe vera plant. Wink

CamelsAndMaus · 12/08/2016 13:03

mesmerising.

CAM

CamelsAndMaus · 12/08/2016 13:05

And very interesting that USA is shown on the map in the first few seconds. I wonder where?

keeptheaspidistra · 12/08/2016 15:24

Lol BS Wink wondered where the nickname came from

MyCatsHateMLMtoo · 12/08/2016 20:55

Oh, how interesting. I got one of those 'suggested pages' ads up on my fb earlier this evening, for a FL bot. Clicked on out of interest and saw that is had not been updated for about a year. Searched her name and found a new fb page. It seems that she has found a new, better MLM; LTW Grin. FL is now passe.

Anyway, browsing on her page I noticed something interesting, it seems that LTW is no longer promoting grocery shopping. No indeed. In the words of our Beth in one of her latest videos, at approximately 38 seconds in, says "it is not a grocery shop, if you wanted grocery you could go to ASDA, you could got to Tesco you could go to wherever".

She acknowledges that says "you get your food shopping for free" doesn't work (2 mins) but we know why it doesn't work; it is because the 'food' is end of line, random, not stuff you buy or use regularly (except of course for Yahoo Wink).

She also says that is us just about making money, about signing up three downline in order to make money off their purchases, and that they sign up three downlines and make money off their purchases et al. It is all about setting up a network who set up a network who set up a network. At 2:40 she says the products are "irrelevant".

"You need to teach those people how to build their network." Then presumably they sign up and teach three other people how to build their network, and they in turn find, sign up and teach three other people how to build their network...et al Hmm. Pyramid Scheme Alert

Anyway, it seems that the new relaunched LTW is no longer about using social media, no longer about promoting grocery shopping, but about building a team and making money off them.

Beth also talks about prospective launches in four other countries.

"...we have had delivery issues, yeah, you need to look past that guys..."
