My Ariix bot (that was originally a Forever bot) has now moved to a new company called Total Life Changes. Their main product seems to be a 'weight loss' tea called Iaso tea. Apparently there's no start up fee. Has any one else heard of this one?

googlepoodle · 22/08/2016 06:50

Forever crass - it's complicated isn't it! So to have 12 legs manager active you not only have to keep yourself going but badger 12 other people as well to be selling an incredible amount. I know two high up bots and they are living in very expensive houses - both rented so that will be £1000 upwards. Both sold houses to do that so it's scary that they may just be blowing all the profits from the sale in the lifestyle. One of the bots is also always going over to Dubai giving talks for the company and doing business there. Again racking up the costs. Then all the gifts for the downlines to keep them motivated.

forevercrass · 22/08/2016 09:30

Google - it really is complicated. No you have to have 9 active manager legs and to be classified as an active manager you need to do your 4cc personal and have a total of at least 12cc from your "open" non manager business.

I would say your friends are spending the money from selling their houses on CC's and lifestyle. I never moved house or upgraded my car or lived to extravagance either thank goodness. So when I walked away I was only left with some stock I could use myself.

smiinky · 22/08/2016 11:43

Also to be mindful when they talk about six figure income, it's far from six figure net profit. As a small non mlm business owner for like, 15 years know, I'm always a bit, WTF how they brag about earnings and paychecks but don't want to sit down to work out their hours or outgoings. It's so obvious from their social media that they never stop, because they can't get off that hamster wheel of constant recruitment.

I guess that would shatter the illusion. I know exactly how much I earn per hour as those are my fees. I know how much I spend, too and a lot of it gets reimbursed by my customers as expenses. I reckon that the great majority of bots are on far less than a minimum wage. Slave driven and what for? The top ones look paranoid and exhausted to me. Who wants that? What price that stupid jewel themed title?

xenu1 · 22/08/2016 13:04

googlepoodle "Can I ask those in the know - do you think those at Sapphire type positions in FL are making decent incomes?"
As mentioned: No, they ar'nt. As a general rule, no one makes money in MLMs until they are high enough (and depraved enough). to profit from the tools scams (selling tapes and tickets to seminars). The rest is "Fake it till you make it" - there's a book of that name about Amway. Wrt the mirage of high incomes please look at www.pinktruth.org (Mary Kay exposed) www.pinktruth.com/category/sales-directors/ for some examples.

ForeverYazoonique · 22/08/2016 15:03

Hello Xenu - long time no see

rayofhope · 22/08/2016 16:27

forevercrass That was something that was never explained when I joined that once you got you manager you actually had to have 12cc outside any of your manager legs (in fairness to my direct upline, I don't think she knew either)

I was really annoyed when I found that out, as just thought, that's just even harder to work towards each month once you've hit manager and broken manager legs. But the twist is put on it, you're told that it's so you build a strong downline team to get paid on - thus making more money (what it actually does is push you to recruit recruit recruit!!!) If you're not recruiting new business one month or pushing your open business (not manager yet) to do their 4cc's then that's a lot of personal cc's you have to do to be paid on your team.

I recently saw a picture from someone in FL and they had a lot of product sitting behind them in a cabinet. I dread to think what they've spent over the years. You really do have to be your best customer

Cinnamoncookie · 22/08/2016 16:41

I just saw this Herbalife display in the tea area at the West End Donor Centre (blood donation service). I have tweeted the National Blood Service to ask why it is there, and linked them to an article about the US fine and also to Botwatch

Gaaaaah Cookie

Spongebobette · 22/08/2016 17:12

How many bots has Mäëllë signed up, pre launch? Did I read somewhere that it's over 3,000?
And they pay something like 35 quid to register?
So someone's in receipt of 100k+ for nothing? Except for sending out some fabulous memes?

Spongebobette · 22/08/2016 17:14

And do they pay extra for this top notch training?

ForeverYazoonique "Hello Xenu - long time no see"
I'm still keeping up with y'all, and amazed at how well you are doing. FWIW my thanks and congratulations to all (smarmy but heartfelt! :))

googlepoodle · 22/08/2016 20:44

Ray of - so it's not really 4cc per month they have to clear but 12cc if they haven't got many non managers selling. The stress must be awful each month as it is largely outside your control what others manage to sell.
So if they did their own 4 cc they still wouldn't get paid on their downlines unless the non managers were doing 12cc between them? It makes sense now why they pressure people to get 4 cc at the beginning of the month as it takes pressure off them

CuntyPotato · 22/08/2016 22:24

Family member is thinking of becoming an Arbonne rep. What she described shouts MLM to me - is it?

Spongebobette · 22/08/2016 22:32

CPotato

Yes yes very much so

Spongebobette · 22/08/2016 22:37

Ah yes you need to go abroad to find victims as the UK market is soggy with aloe vera

Cuntypotato, have a look at BotWatchblog's directory of MLM information. Arbonne is there. It is an alphabetical list of MLMs that have been discussed here or been sent to Bot Watch. I have put interesting links for each MLM on there. The list is growing almost daily.

smiinky · 23/08/2016 09:37

yes its £59 to register for Maelle, if the products get delivered to customers at the end of October, then they'll have been recruiting for a whole 8 months with no wampum.

keeptheaspidistra · 23/08/2016 10:26

Why have Maelle launched in this way? Seems weird to me, is it because they don't have the funds to launch their own business?! Or is this the norm for mlms

CamelsAndMaus · 23/08/2016 12:11

A new blog link to add to the opening posts. Someone else who briefly (thankfully) got sucked into Amway.

Been a long time lurker - have just been contacted by an ex-FLP bot to look at the opportuntity company? Does anyone know much about them? Just been sent a video of their top bot - not sure I can say his name on here but he's mancunian sounding, and sounds also like a car salesman?

Thing is they look like they are really making money - and in the shortest time, is this possible?

smiinky · 23/08/2016 12:42

I agree its dodgy, taking all of that money and having the worlds longest prelaunch, its a bit pyramidical. Add to that the 'passion page' on Facebook, the bots (I'm following a couple), who are recruiting, doing makeup tutorials (with other peoples make up) and (I'm hearing) even doing stalls, even though they have nothing to sell - my illegal pyramid scheme klaxon has just gone off. Eight months of attraction marketing and collecting money with nothing else. Hmmm.

smiinky · 23/08/2016 12:45

The opportunity company, same as the rest, but the products are even more expensive and unsaleable compared to Forever. They've been in trouble with the ASA already, for their homeopathic diet drops (around £99 for the set).
You think they're earning lots? I think they want your money!

cozietoesie · 23/08/2016 12:52

Ask yourself where any money might come from, chacha. (If it even exists.)Smile
