Adulting you're not wrong. I think the first threads were poking fun at bots (and we do still do a bit of that) but I think it's become clear there are real people being conned and bullied.

cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 16:57

I've just been doing some - very quick - research into 'MLM scripts'. I now feel as if some stranger's hands have been rummaging through my underwear drawer.

LunaLoveg00d · 18/06/2016 17:02

Wording seems identical to LTW

That QNT website/facebook page is also equally poorly written "Somethings can last forever" a prime example, and I would put money on it being a Phoenix company headed up by the same people or family.

cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 17:05

There have been clones knocking around for the last while.

HelenaDove · 18/06/2016 18:00

The person i mentioned who is doing Younique has plastered her nieces face in the stuff and put up a photo on fb saying ""how great does this look"

Her niece doesnt look any older than seven or maybe eight at a push.

This is so wrong.

SocksRock · 18/06/2016 18:15

Oooh, I've been invited to a FL party in real life. Apparently there will be wraps for us to try? I didnt' realise FL did wraps... Also, been told by the host that it's not a party to sell stuff, the FL IBO only wants to "network"...

I think I might wander along and see what she has to say...

cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 19:25

Apparently so - although I suppose she could be 'branching out'? (It's not completely forbidden these days I believe.)

cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 19:28

PS - Remember to printout some BotWatch or Timeless Vie stuff to put in your purse and leave lying behind/in the loo. Wink

Toobusytowee · 18/06/2016 19:52

Sockrock, have a look at BotWatchBlog's MLM bingo. It will help protect you from joining in a moment of weakness. Print it out and take it with you if you're feeling brave.

Toobusytowee · 18/06/2016 19:57

Have any of you heard of or had experience of FM cosmetics? It's an MLM I hadn't heard of before. Until an FM bot started defending MLMs on Bot Watch. She reckons hers is ok, ethical, no targets, she earns good money, no pressure to recruit etc. I can't find out much about them. Certainly no income disclosure. Now they are on my radar I want to know more.

Toobusytowee · 18/06/2016 20:00

Anyone heard of FM cosmetics? It's an MLM. I have an FM bot defending MLMs on FB and I don't know anything about her MLM. She reckons it is ethical, no pressure to recruit, she earns enough to pay the bills etc. I don't believe her but I have no ammunition. I can't find out much about them.

Toobusytowee · 18/06/2016 20:00

Sorry about those two posts. My phone did something odd!

cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 20:02

It's been talking to my device behind your back. Grin

cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 20:10

Lots of sweet smelling words, eh? (Despite the translation glitches.) Lots and lots. Wink

I look forward to the first few ex-adherents speaking to BotWatch.

cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 20:28

Actually, there's a lot about any MLM if you just look for it. Smile

AdultingIsNotWhatIExpected · 18/06/2016 20:37

Anyone heard of FM cosmetics?

yup, they spam local selling pages with knock off versions of perfume and make up and cheap copies of products that other MLMs sell. Their marketing technique seems to be to slag off the MLMs that they're ripping off and to claim that their knock off perfumes are made in exactly the same factory as all the designer perfumes (I wasn't aware that there was just ONE factory making all the worlds perfumes :-D )

Toobusytowee · 18/06/2016 21:51

I found a YouTube video. FM was started in Poland. They make perfume similar to main brands (although some reviews say they are not as good- what a surprise). Two things jumped out at me with the video- 1. 5 mins on the product, 8 minutes on how recruiting six people and getting them to recruit will earn you money and 2. Be your own best customer!

EauDeParslaii · 18/06/2016 21:53

You also get booted if you fail to sell a certain amount in 12 months :/
toobusy I've sent you some links over x

miffytherabbit1974 · 19/06/2016 01:38

Hello! I posted this up on to Timeless Vie (under my real name, Matthew). It's a YouTube link of a training video for LifeTree World. The trainer openly admits that it is a pyramid scheme more than once!! The interesting bits start at around 20mins in. Here's the link:

I hope it's ok to post a link up? If not, my apologies in advance.

stopfaffing · 19/06/2016 06:59

Very interesting miffy, thanks for posting.

I am glad they admit it's a pyramid Grin. They are also peddling the usual lies when comparing the supermarket distribution hierarchy to their own. Tesco (for example) negotiate directly with suppliers then sell to us. That's it. LTW source end of date/obsolete products that are unsellable in supermarkets, buy them for pennies in bulk, then sell them on to gullible people for a fortune Grin.

The hampers make me laugh though. They are full of obscure stuff most people never buy once a year let alone once a month. It is interesting that there were no pictures of the typical hampers shown on the presentation nor indeed was there an example of a typical hamper on display.

As for the comments about "20,000" fresh and frozen new products becoming available "soon". Don't hold your breath as it is never going to happen. The logistics of processing fresh/frozen products is complicated and expensive. LTW will never offer this service.

darceybussell · 19/06/2016 07:42

Thanks Miffy! I particularly liked this line, after using the word 'pyramid' over and over again they say - 'just to clarify it isn't a pyramid scheme because you can overtake your upline'

Erm, where the hell has that information come from? They all trot that line out- someone somewhere has decided that the ability to overtake your upline means it's not a pyramid scheme - it bloody well doesn't! All of the other MLMs that have been shut down for being pyramid schemes have allowed you to overtake your upline!

It's a pyramid scheme if it's based on recruitment only with no outside sales to the market. Stop wanking on about uplines, it's bollocks. You're a pyramid scheme whether you like it or not!

Kanga59 · 19/06/2016 07:43

stopfaffing · 19/06/2016 08:57

Oh, click on the video again and click on the youtube icon at the bottom to be taken to the youtube page. There are some interesting comments Wink, some from Beth.

MrshumbleBrows · 19/06/2016 09:22

Has anyone told BWTBB (beth) that knowingly participating in and recruiting for a pyramid scheme is a potentially jailable offence?

SocksRock · 19/06/2016 09:28

I have my MLM bingo card and some stuff printed out - I think the FL party is next Friday? Will report back :-) Have also downloaded tha LTW video in case it goes pouff....
