Watching LifeTree World seemingly implode in slow-motion over Facebook this evening (like a chick pea, Yazoo & Weetabix soufflé slowing collapsing) has been, by turns, both mesmerising and weirdly macabre.
The upcoming court case due to be heard on Monday has broadly split LTW-Bots in to two camps: those who are in complete denial and those who have 'seen the light' (until they are blinded by the dazzle of the next #lifechangingopportunity). Those in denial are pouncing on anyone who is now openly questioning all of the LTW shenanigans; effectively telling doubters that they are jeopardising everything by being "negative". The high-up deniers are also doubling down, telling their minions that they have nothing to fear, they just need to #thinkpositive and have #blindfaith_babes. Conversely, many of those who have Seen The Light are being surprisingly honest, by all accounts. I've seen quite a few posts where Bottom-of-the-Pyramid-Bots have openly admitted that they've lost money and that they will never get it back. This is quite sad on one level, but then you remember that they'd probably have been quite content to rip off their own down-line had things worked out ok for them, so it's all very conflicting, I guess.
I did some digging around earlier, because the latest #amazeballsbabes ruse by LTW is to claim that they are in "partnership" with Sky TV. This is only my opinion, but this is just a complete fabrication (obviously, though I'm still gob-smacked that people are believing this rubbish). Eventually I found LTW's pretend, ersatz Sky portal here: skytveurope.co.uk/sky/ - it asks for a password (hint: it isn't hard to guess). Basically, they are claiming that LTW Bots can sell on monthly "Sky Packages worth £105 for
£53" along with their crappy hampers. However, from what I can tell by looking at YouTube LTW webinars, these £53 "packages" don't exist - certainly not by name on the official Sky website, anyway. The packages are also considerably cheaper on official Sky, unsurprisingly. If you go on to the official Sky website, their main offer right now is a certain bundle being offered alongside a free 32" LG flatscreen telly. I mention this because as I was trawling through LTW posts on Facebook this evening, I noticed a few posts where the LTW overlords had been giving out "incentives" to their bots. The incentives were 32" LG flatscreen TVs (the exact same TVs that were being offered with official Sky).
I puzzled over this for ages and then I wondered, is it possible that are buying the official Sky package offers (with TVs) in bulk and then selling these on to LTW-bots at inflated prices, and keeping the TVs to use as "incentives"? Perhaps someone with a bit more tenacity than me can get to the bottom of it, but what is clear (just by looking at the above website) is that the whole thing is extremely dodgy. Put it another way, if LTW can charge their bots £56 for a DKNY perfume which is £26 from Amazon (and other outlets), then they could theoretically pull a stunt like this with Sky.
Sorry for the long post folks, it's just that I've been gripped by the whole thing tonight and I needed to get it off my chest!!
