Yep.

Looks like they haven't paid their bills to me. This is the petitioner www.per-scent.co.uk/default.aspx

BeckyMcDonald · 08/07/2016 22:12

The petition's being heard on Monday. It normally takes a few days to update on the Gazette site. If there's just one petitioner then these companies usually scrape together the money to pay them what they owe. Although obviously it depends how much LTW owes Per-Scent....

cozietoesie · 08/07/2016 22:14

The petition, from that link, was presented in April 2016??

IoraRua · 08/07/2016 22:27

Thanks. I did suspect it was real alright, despite the reps madly denying it. Very sad to read some of the comments from people who got sucked in on the bottom level - "guess that's it, we've lost so much money". I just hope they don't go on to some other scam.

EauDeParslaii · 08/07/2016 23:30

Other MLM boys are already jumping on this to recruit ltw bots #ugh
This is what one of the top bots has said about it when another top bot queried...

Bots* not boys, silly autocorrect!

smiinky · 09/07/2016 00:08

This is what makes me sick about mlm. Sold as being superior to conventional business yet a great big fuck off red flag lke this and anyone who says 'don't go near them'. Is branded a hater. Its the WTF of mlm.
Lest we forget way back when Bot Watch credit checked them and their credit rating was appaling. Again, had I been in a position to trade in a conventional way with them, back then, on that basis, I would have not. You wouldn't get insurance, I reckon. And oooh look credit check was correct all along. Well I never! But we are haters and dream stealers for being rational and basing our business decisions on wisdom and reason, rather than what Rhonda Bloody Byrne tells us to Vibrate towards. Remind me again why the mlm way is better coz I can't see it?

Watching LifeTree World seemingly implode in slow-motion over Facebook this evening (like a chick pea, Yazoo & Weetabix soufflé slowing collapsing) has been, by turns, both mesmerising and weirdly macabre.

The upcoming court case due to be heard on Monday has broadly split LTW-Bots in to two camps: those who are in complete denial and those who have 'seen the light' (until they are blinded by the dazzle of the next #lifechangingopportunity). Those in denial are pouncing on anyone who is now openly questioning all of the LTW shenanigans; effectively telling doubters that they are jeopardising everything by being "negative". The high-up deniers are also doubling down, telling their minions that they have nothing to fear, they just need to #thinkpositive and have #blindfaith_babes. Conversely, many of those who have Seen The Light are being surprisingly honest, by all accounts. I've seen quite a few posts where Bottom-of-the-Pyramid-Bots have openly admitted that they've lost money and that they will never get it back. This is quite sad on one level, but then you remember that they'd probably have been quite content to rip off their own down-line had things worked out ok for them, so it's all very conflicting, I guess.

I did some digging around earlier, because the latest #amazeballsbabes ruse by LTW is to claim that they are in "partnership" with Sky TV. This is only my opinion, but this is just a complete fabrication (obviously, though I'm still gob-smacked that people are believing this rubbish). Eventually I found LTW's pretend, ersatz Sky portal here: skytveurope.co.uk/sky/ - it asks for a password (hint: it isn't hard to guess). Basically, they are claiming that LTW Bots can sell on monthly "Sky Packages worth £105 for
£53" along with their crappy hampers. However, from what I can tell by looking at YouTube LTW webinars, these £53 "packages" don't exist - certainly not by name on the official Sky website, anyway. The packages are also considerably cheaper on official Sky, unsurprisingly. If you go on to the official Sky website, their main offer right now is a certain bundle being offered alongside a free 32" LG flatscreen telly. I mention this because as I was trawling through LTW posts on Facebook this evening, I noticed a few posts where the LTW overlords had been giving out "incentives" to their bots. The incentives were 32" LG flatscreen TVs (the exact same TVs that were being offered with official Sky).

I puzzled over this for ages and then I wondered, is it possible that are buying the official Sky package offers (with TVs) in bulk and then selling these on to LTW-bots at inflated prices, and keeping the TVs to use as "incentives"? Perhaps someone with a bit more tenacity than me can get to the bottom of it, but what is clear (just by looking at the above website) is that the whole thing is extremely dodgy. Put it another way, if LTW can charge their bots £56 for a DKNY perfume which is £26 from Amazon (and other outlets), then they could theoretically pull a stunt like this with Sky.

Sorry for the long post folks, it's just that I've been gripped by the whole thing tonight and I needed to get it off my chest!!

cozietoesie · 09/07/2016 07:26

I'll stand to be corrected on this, Eau, but the previous link shows that the petition was presented in early April? Now I may not be understanding this process but, on the face of it, it looks as if the MLM should have known about this for the last 3 months?

smiinky · 09/07/2016 07:49

Yeah I saw the Sky stuff. whats the password for the site? Too dumb this morning to figure it out!

acatcalledjohn · 09/07/2016 09:14

Come on smiinky, you can guess the password!

That Sky stuff looks dodgy. So

acatcalledjohn · 09/07/2016 09:22

Posted early. Awake enough to guess the password, not awake enough to write a post.

So when you purchase a ridiculously expensive Sky bundle through them, would it just be treated as a house move & name chance?

It would suck if you didn't have a suitable line already, simply because you don't get the standard line check you would at if you bought through Sky.

EauDeParslaii · 09/07/2016 09:38

cozie yes, there seems to be one from April and one from the end of June! Hmmm...
Also top LTW bot reassurance/rumour/denial post has mysteriously vanished! Hmm

smiinky · 09/07/2016 09:55

Ive tried every combination of lifetree world but it wont let me in. My brother works for Sky, so they now know about this.

acatcalledjohn · 09/07/2016 09:59

smiinky, check your inbox Grin

acatcalledjohn · 09/07/2016 10:07

The registration form makes it look like they'd be using the actual customer's data to set up the account and bag the 32" TV.

That sounds a little fraudulent...

Though rumour has it they have form for that.

ForeverYazoonique · 09/07/2016 14:59

Wow acatcalledjohn that's rather concerning yes! If that was indeed happening then I would dare say that could well be fraud. Of course I wouldn't want to accuse without all the facts - perhaps they could care to comment?

acatcalledjohn · 09/07/2016 15:23

Can you imagine their comment:

"Oh I'll just look in to that with HQ, I'm not aware of anything."
"Yes, all is fine, nothing illegal."

Seems to be their general vague response to absolutely fucking everything.

acatcalledjohn · 09/07/2016 15:24

This is the form.

"An expert will call back"

A swindling expert, no doubt.

cozietoesie · 09/07/2016 15:30

That would be a 12 month contract (contract) that people are being signed up for?

ForeverYazoonique · 09/07/2016 15:30

Fucking shameless

BSintolerant · 09/07/2016 15:43

Cozie, you're right. The link refers to only one winding up petition which was served in April. They've had plenty of time to settle out of court. Assuming they haven't settled, the court hearing will be on Monday - anyone got access to live court listings?

Don't you just love a good wind-up?! 😉

ForeverYazoonique · 09/07/2016 15:48

Apparently just a "dispute with a supplier over quality"

One they couldn't resolve? That got this far? Don't think much of their negotiation skills if that is the case.
