Eau,, I watched the program last night and actually enjoyed it, but like any of the soaps, it was very far-fetched. I mean to do one party (and we all know how expensive Ann Summers is), and make all that money is ridiculous. The film is based in the early 80's, where unemployment was high and money was very scarce, (I should know, I was there), so how the bloodyhell did the characters in the show find the money to buy the stuff in the first place. I always say "its soap-land, where anything is possible", its not real life.

Does anyone here have any links with employees at Leeds University? If you do, please can you PM me? I need your support with some MLM activity there. Thanks.

In Angela Griffin's interview she was talking as much about real life as she was about the soap, bigging up the whole sisterly empowering bollocks of it all, and her "research" which was clearly only talking to a few sucessful bots and none of the victims

Notice the bots not shouting about how unfair it was of This Morning to give such an unbalanced, one-sided view on the company...? There are two sides to every story as they staunchly protested when the daily mail stories were out...

That occurred to me too Eau! The bots love things to be balanced. They must be gutted that their MLM wasn't portrayed as a scam.

A top top bot has posted in one of the top top bot groups advising people not to accept any friend requests from #humblebot...... I have also heard a recording of #hb giving someone a talking to and basically saying it's affecting their decision on whether to go to (new MLM)

Wow Toobusy that is great news. The DSA have hardly covered themselves in glory but even they couldn't align themselves with this bunch of crooks.

These #networkmarketing people - do they have to register as self employed and dos tax return? Or is it tax evasion (or whatever) as well?

The normal rules on tax, VAT, accounts etc etc apply as far as I know.

They do indeed domestic although some genuinely unaware/dishonest people don't :(
(Example: an old upline of mine told us all not to bother registering for Self Assessment until we started getting the bonus cheques as the commission amounts were small enough to not be picked up on)

(I will also add for posterity's sake that I was already registered for self assessment regardless, and I still made a point of declaring my commission from the single sale I made with that MLM when I was doing my tax return for that year.)

Well at least that meant you could write off your outlay against tax Eau.

Domestic the reality is that most won't need to register as they wont make any money. Even those that do don't make enough to bother, unless they have other income to declare.

If you look at UK MLMs' Terms and Conitions/Company policies/whatever they choose to call the small print documents that people sign up to, you'll see that the MLMs very specifically lay responsibility for tax, accounts - legal compliance of pretty well any sort in fact - on the IBOs. They're the ones, legally, who'll have their backsides hanging out over the gate if a cold wind blows.

Does anyone know are the wind down petitions for LTW true? They're doing the rounds on FB currently. I can't attach info for some reason but a quick search should bring them up, along with some anxious reps!
