It is not a legitimate way to make money. It's a con. It's a pyramid scheme. It's a fantastic way for large American companies to make money.

Saw a new "working class heroes" style tv series being promoted about Ann Summers (I know that's slightly different, but I'll bet the bots'll latch on to it) called Brief Encounters

About how working that way made friendships and saved marraiges and is women supporting other womena and I've just got to stop here because I'm going to throw up!

I've been a bit shocked by the whole Brexit thing too. I thought that was why it had gone quiet here. I've been using Bot Watching as a distraction technique. I've got loads done!

Obviously they don't realise it's a pyramid scheme, but to be honest that makes me even more bloody angry. The fact that 'women empowering women' has been reduced to selling sex toys and make up at parties. We should be encouraging women to aim high. Less than 10% of FTSE 100 executive board members are women - this is something we desperately need to do something about. And instead we are encouraging women to do fluffy little jobs selling tat in a pyramid scheme.

Honestly the Angela Griffin interview was sickening, like MLMs are the new feminism, girl power and family values all rolled into one!

I went to the gym today and near the entrance was a box with slips to fill out to enter a draw to win a premium make-up or skincare tutorial or something like that. I instantly thought MLM so grabbed a entry slip to check...

Fucking Arbonne. Almost tempted to enter. Just don't think I could contain my disdain for the products if I did win though...

Empowering women? Isn't that the sort of shit that encourages women to become strippers? All we are good for is air-headed stuff. Except we all know both industries are deeply unpleasant and misogynistic.

I might even take to Twitter on this one....as soon as I can work out how the damn thing works.

To hopefully give you all a laugh, I asked an Arabic speaking friend to translate التجسس العين which was helpfully provided by Google. Apparently the closest is "bloody spying" which I thought was fairly appropriate for some organisations' views.

Now I just have to convince my friend that, no, I'm not investigating terrorism and the like; and I can envisage a long conversation about MLMs!

Thought I was going slightly mad at first but I seemed to remember Angela Griffin being mentioned as one of the "celebrity endorsers" of an MLM in an early thread. Took a bit of Googling but tracked it down (FL) - conflict of interest anyone? I wonder who suggested the segment and that she would be the perfect person to present it.....

Also - finding the original of the twitter feed pic I've posted (clue - google "angela griffin forever living" and third link down) and following the Aloe Vera plant picture of likers is interesting (not sure on the terminology for Twitter - never really got to grips with it. I think I have an account somewhere!).

Animal care again anyone? ..... strangely enough our cats (double figures. don't ask) here show actually no interest in eating our (real, live completely organically and sandily grown) aloe vera plants; although they will eat lizards, flies, mosquitos and attempt hamsters (very long story) and will try anything else they can break into if left carelessly around wrapped in several layers of cling film and under a food cover. One is particularly interested in trying to eat the gigantic cactus plant bequeathed to us.

Strangely I believe (would find evidence but Googled out for now) that animals have a built in sense of what vegetation is safe/good/nutritional for them to eat....

Can someone in the UK please wake up and congratulate me on my ME Google Fu please? I'm feeling lonely here ;)

Just watched it, and I really dont get what the point of it is. Dont know if Im being a bit thick, but are they advertising the program or what? It makes out its so easy and you make loads of dosh. Even the Mlms themselves say its hard work and its not a "get rich quick"scheme. My Daughter did Ann Summers quite a few years ago, we had quite a laugh about it at the time, nothing serious, definitely not in it to make loads of money. She didnt do it for long and never made much, if any, money out of it, there were no training days or rallys and any of that shite, but she enjoyed having a laugh with her mates at the parties she did. She certainly didnt "sack the boss" or have enough money to actually live off. Itv have made this look like easy money and its absolutely disgusting. I shall definitely be complaining.
