Thanks Eau, was completly wrong. Blush

Toobusytowee · 01/07/2016 16:26

I've just been looking at the Lyoness income disclosure statement. The median amount earned in a year is .......drum roll......Canadian $0.04!!!! And this is an MLM that is making their figures public. What of the ones that aren't disclosing theirs?

Foreverfibbing · 01/07/2016 17:06

Just casually popping in to say that a certain top shill bot's abbreviated accounts are up on companies house.

The total amount of shareholders funds for the last financial year???

Less than £700!!!!!

They can retire now, right?

Foreverfibbing · 01/07/2016 17:34

Oh, and while I'm at it, aforementioned bot's "bezza" has shareholder funds for last financial year of less than 100 quid.

All the hours they put in, all the travelling they do... Kind of makes me feel sorry for them :(

ForeverYazoonique · 01/07/2016 21:01

Foreverfibbing - shareholder capital is usually £100.

To be honest abbreviated accounts don't tell you much - because they don't show you wages or dividends. Not much can be read into them. You don't see turnover or profit or really anything of any value.

The companies themselves are worth zilch - you can't sell them because they are based on the work and personality of an individual. This is also quite normal for small companies.

ForeverYazoonique · 01/07/2016 21:02

Shame it's not like Sweden where everyone's tax returns are published....

Toobusytowee · 02/07/2016 20:05

Forever, can anyone see tax returns in Sweden then? Is it online? I'm just wondering if it would be possible to look up bot accounts there. Or would that be too complicated?

EauDeParslaii · 02/07/2016 20:37

toobusy I'm sure we can find them somehow!
Popped to tesco for provisions earlier and there's a bot recruitment poster on the community board - no mention of the product whatsoever, just about the business op.
My personal favourite line is "...an extraordinary income alongside they're existing commitments"

They're. #deargod

Toobusytowee · 02/07/2016 22:57

Critical faculties must somehow be linked to spelling and grammar. It seems compulsory to make errors like that.

CamelsAndMaus · 03/07/2016 04:44

Here's a new one to me showing up on NM - well to me, not seen the name mentioned here before (definitely MLM and what a surprise - registered in USA).

Oh, and in case the post is removed (I'm fairly sure it actually breaks their rules) the company is called Beautycounter and I have a screen shot of it where it implies that their products can assist with "ADHD, infertility, early menses, cancer even learnning disorders" [sic] if anyone wants it.

CAM

Toobusytowee · 03/07/2016 22:59

Thanks for that Cam, I'll have a look andput in on the database of MLMs.

I came across this link today- a You Tube video of a comedy news story on the zombie virus on MLM taking over the world.

CamelsAndMaus · 04/07/2016 04:09

Ok. Thread has (as I suspected) been removed. I'll send you the screen shot. From the language used I suspect the poster is US based.

Shit, power went down here yesterday and I've lost it. Hopefully you caught it before it was deleted. From recollection it was by Lily someone and she'd made one other post on there.

Sorry :(

CAM

Toobusytowee · 04/07/2016 07:32

It was already deleted when I clicked on your link.

Toobusytowee · 04/07/2016 07:35

Sorry, that doesn't make sense! It had already gone last night. I clicked on the link not long after I posted that comedy link.

CamelsAndMaus · 04/07/2016 08:43

Ah well. I'll keep an eye out for any more on there. It was stupid o'clock this morning UK time so I've got a fair chance of spotting them before there are any mods around to delete them.

EauDeParslaii · 04/07/2016 09:33

Morning all!
I've been sent a screenshot advertising that an FLP bot will be on today's This Morning at some point... Anyone about to keep an eye out? X

LMGTFY · 04/07/2016 11:12

I've just popped on your say the same, should be now ish. I'm at work sadly.

Atlas15 · 04/07/2016 11:14

Oh wow can't believe it. Just saw it I wonder how many mums are going to get sucked in now?

CamelsAndMaus · 04/07/2016 11:47

Atlas stuck out here in the ME no chance of watching it; but were there any "difficult" questions posed to this person whatsoever? I'm assuming this was one of the uber bots?

CAM

Atlas15 · 04/07/2016 12:03

No it was a VT of three different mums working from home. She said she made 2000-3000 a month and that the most important thing was that she could work around her children.
It looked like a legit, moneymaking job.

EauDeParslaii · 04/07/2016 12:03

Ohhh my word...
Get your MLM bingo cards at the ready Huns, I filled mine in 5 seconds flat... Particular highlights include "it's not a pyramid scheme!!!1!!1!!1" and the classic victim blaming Angry

GretchenBeckett · 04/07/2016 12:04

Wow! I just saw this lady promoting forever living on This Morning! It was just a video of her (and a couple of other mums doing different things) in her very expensive house saying she she earns 2k a month. There were no questions put to her at all!

Toobusytowee · 04/07/2016 13:59

Please complain to OFCOM about This Morning's unrealistic and harmful portrayal of MLMs. The more people that do this, the better.
