Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

I'm sorry but why has charity even entered into this conversation? It hasn't got anything to do with what we are talking about. Natasha brought it up to begin with. I don't know what she was trying to prove by saying anything about it. Plenty of companies give to charity and many have been criticised for it.

Anyone remember the sainsburys chocolate bar at Christmas along with the ad showing the soldiers at war? Sainsburys were criticised for that as some people said that they were using charity to bring people into their store... If you go on about how your company gives so much to charity, people will have something to say about it, good or bad.

I read or rather skimmed the blog thing earlier today and then went and did some nice things as palette cleanser.

Utter tedious tosh. "Loved" how the medical claims for aloe bit was mentioned in passing then dismissed. I remember ages ago how it was claimed that there was loads of evidence for aloe's medical benefits if only you could be bothered to look. Well I have read a couple of research papers and load of testimonial twoddle and there's feck all to show aloe can do much but give you the squits. If it was so amazing then FL should have used all the money it pissed up the wall in Sth Africa and started some proper trials. My family member still hasn't been offered aloe vera or juice pills or tea capsules or unicorn horns and they're half way through chemo.

So if MLM bots don't like the tone they bring out the bully card, then the charity card, then the conspiracy card - what's next; aliens are making you siphon money into a fundamentalist's piggy bank?
