We have our own regularly returning bots.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

They simply don't care do they? There's no responsibility in selling this man his business in a box, or whatever he's bought. That he couldn't even get enough to buy that should give anyone an idea of how successful he's going to be selling it on

Wow I've just read some of the posts on timeless vie (the ones that haven't been deleted) she was dim wasn't she! She's obviously American and had absolutely no idea what the NHS was, but decided to spout off anyway and say Ariix was definitely better than the NHS because sometimes in the NHS people die - was very very weird!

Having a browse on the TV fb page and came across this link about a spin-off company started by a couple involved in Amway who sell promotional materials to 'business owners' with the purpose of teaching them to create and promote motivational seminars, audios and literature.

We know, from reading Merchants of Deception, that a lot of money was made by uplines who peddled these 'promotional materials' to Ambots. Certainly, no money was made by selling Amway products to customers outside the company.

Hello! I'm delurking to say hello and to thank you for the hard work & commitment of so many involved in this thread, Botwatch, Timeless etc.

I became aware of the iniquities of the MLM world after a dear, sweet friend tried to recruit me onto her Arbonne team. She's prime MLM fodder: doesn't want to go back to work after mat leave, her employer has declined her request to be considered for part-time working etc.

Fortunately, I think the Arbonne thing will fizzle out for her. She isn't cut out for the hard sell and she's looking for other part time work. She does share the odd #inspo or #guilturfriends post on FB from time to time...
