Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook

We have our own regularly returning bots.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

Btw... This is in response to barnbots latest blog post... just more back peddling.

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:24

There you go... Theres the real blog post!

Bit of a change from the nice message you sent me wgen I said something you liked the sound of huh? Guessyiu only respind positively when its something you WANT to hear? Go back to your yes men then.

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:24

Apologies for spelling errors everyone...

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 22/05/2016 14:26

I stand by it, it is Infact you who changes their tone when confronted with something you don't want to hear, not the other way around!

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:27

Is this bullying too then? Me expressing a different opinion? Reminding you that you implied you had purchased a house that you were in fact renting? Thats more than just faking confidence isnt it?

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:28

Where are the vile accusations? Come on?

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:30

Are you directly implying that the Daily mail
Editor manipulated the article to present mistruths then? Because thats how I read your blog post? Thats quite an inference you have made there.

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:34

So this is the message Natasha....

So we are not malicious? Yet you claim we are vile and bullied on your blog post? Which is it then?

I think the "fake it till you make it" comment is laudable when you want to give yourself confidence and you feel uncertain and worried. For example if I am to attend a meeting and speak in front of others who are far more qualified than I am on a subject. I "fake it" when I take a deep breath and relax my shoulders and exude a confidence don't feel before I start talking. Thankfully, I know my subject and soon feel comfortable talking about it.

"Fake it till you make it" is not however meant to actively deceive people by pretending something which isn't true. For example, implying that you have been able to afford to buy a big beautiful home with money made with FL when you are in fact renting. Or another example standing by a car you have 'bought' with FL income when you haven't. Or here's another one, faking that you only work a couple of hours a day around your family when the reality is somewhat different.

Can anyone think of other ways that "fake it till you make it" is abused by FL and other MLMs?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 22/05/2016 14:42

Im sorry, I'm confused! What exactly is your point? I thanked you for the kind post. And? I'm now not thanking you for the spiteful one! Don't see an issue!

As for pretending I was buying a house, this is old crap. I have never stated that.... ANYWHERE! I have always told people it was a rental. You are clutching at straws because my blog pissed you off because let's face it.... You don't want to hear ANY good about MLM. And THATS the reality here! Discussion my arse!

I suggest it is you guys who want everyone to agree with YOU! I don't care who agrees with me or not I simply hold an opinion and I stand by it.

I have no desire to keep defending myself with this thread or any other. There are many that know my reality. If anything you have only made me more determined to stand even taller.

Thank you. Credit where it's due.

Drops mic...... Again!

exLtEveDallas · 22/05/2016 14:49

Seriously. Unless you are a 24 year old gansta rapper, or a pre teen who watches too many YouTube vids 'Drops Mic' makes you sound completely ridiculous. Do you say "I'm gonna put a cap in yo ass" too?

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:53

Great!I hope you stay in mlm, I am sure you will be appropriately rewarded for your efforts, I hope the same can be said for the other people underneath you who cannot mathematically achieve the same and are just funding the electric on your hot tub. Good luck to you, if your truth consists of signing people up who will never succeed in this business and you are ok with that, then more power to your elbow. Like I said, why not just stop whining about it if our opinion is wrong and doesnt matter? You know best? What do you care?

My theory is that deep down you all know exactly what the score is, and choose to suppress ethics in order to ignore the cold hard reality. No wonder you all get so defensive when confronted with it!

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:54

Not nice when someone holds the mirror up to your morality is it?

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:55

I know ex thats what I thought! Its so ridiculous! You just make yourself appear like you think its all a big joke, peoples livelihoods are not a joke!

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 14:58

Still waiting for proof of this nasty "slander" and bullying. Just because you dont like people calling you to account on your public actions, does not mean you are being bullied. What the people in these forever and other 'teams' have endured, thats bullying.

stopfaffing · 22/05/2016 14:58

Can I just qualify that I was talking generally about fake it claims from MLM reps not just you, Natasha.

noyouarenotalifestylecoach · 22/05/2016 15:01

After reading it the only thing that stood out to me was this - "of course, a pay check every month probably softens the blow."

Because money.

#fuckethics

Spongebobette · 22/05/2016 15:23

Oh Barnbot. That blogpost is just disingenuous.

TruthfulTara88 · 22/05/2016 15:24

Can I just say, (as someone who is new to network marketing), the thing that pisses me off the most is that the reps constantly contradict themselves. You advertise so casually on Facebook and elsewhere that MLM is so easy and that you can make £500 a week only working part time and spend more time with your family. People are sucked in by in this. Yet in the same breath, when someone criticises this, you say 'it isn't for everyone, you need to work really hard and have a thick skin' and then go on about how hard you work and haven't seen your kids in ages.

What you're selling is a complete lie and you get pissed off when people call you out on it.

After reading this thread and all of the craziness on the DM article, I feel lucky that I managed to dodge this MLM shit storm. I was so sucked in by the glamorous lifestyle that the reps post, the reality is so much different. Phew.

ForeverYazoonique · 22/05/2016 15:32

NatashaBarnBotShingles

What 'power' exactly do you think we (collectively, TV, Botwatch and this thread) have over you?

MrshumbleJeans · 22/05/2016 15:35

Welcome tara thank god you saw sense! Therin lies the problem, they hate us, they will do ANYTHING, say anything and make up any old crap to discredit us because they know that what we say is true, they know that if people knew, there would be no more suckers to pay for those big rentals, flash cars, hot tubs and giant cheques. Look at it this way, who gains out of it? We dont, we get threatened, outed, accused of slander etc, but whats in it for us? Yes, thats right, a genuine wish to see people not being scammed anymore! Whats in it for them? Money. No matter how you shake it down, know matter how humble they pretend to be, no matter how they claim to be 'helping people' the uber bots do not see you as a real person, they see pound signs above your head. And the fact is you have got to be ruthless to succeed at this game, except they never admit to that do they? They scream bully, haters, slander, mistruths, failed mlmers etc anything to protect their big cheque and their fake lifestyle. No amount of blog posts, 'global' bullshit and bought social media likes changes that fact.

ForeverYazoonique · 22/05/2016 15:35

I am bored of the accusations of bullying. Holding people to account who actually hold themselves up as "public figures" and the face of dodgy MLM enterprises, is not bullying. You make claims, you sell your lifestyle and your "rags to riches" story, you make money fraudulently from others (openly), and then you want a pat on the back? Fuck that.

ForeverYazoonique · 22/05/2016 15:37

Exactly mrshumblejeans

follow the fucking money

stopfaffing · 22/05/2016 15:46

Natasha, you wrote a piece on your fb page on 23rd December 2015 at 2:28pm which implied that you'd turned down the opportunity to buy your council house with a £75,000 discount to move into your dream home thanks to FL. That you'd spent 18 months working every day, sacrificing time with your kids in order to "give your children a beautiful home".

True you didn't say in words that you had "bought" the barn, but you certainly implied it, judging from the comments below the post. People believed you had bought it, didn't they? Is that what you mean by "faking it till you make it?" We know, don't we, that you are not the only FL bot who implied she'd bought a beautiful majestic building and had many, many comments following her original post from people who thought she had. I remember too her brother stating on one of his youtube videos that she had "bought a castle" with the money she'd made from FL. A lie, though, wasn't it? Is that what you mean by "faking it till you make it"?

On the back of all that fakery many people were recruited into a 'business' that promised much but failed them again and again and again. Yet, they were the ones told they had failed! So angry about it, Natasha.

ForeverYazoonique · 22/05/2016 15:51

The whole MLM racket is a fraud. A bloody clever one I'll grant you, but a fraud. No less Fraudy McFraudface than those people who phone up and tell you there's an issue with your computer IMO. They need proper investigation, or even specific legislation.
