Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

So the article was great. Slightly miffed that FLP have written they are false claims. Does that mean we are all liars? Unfortunately a few big boys have allowed and taught all of this. There are some bots who do work ethically but they are in the minority.
No.1 Bot and repunzel boy has taught all of this to their downline, allowed the posts, the bullying and actually done these posts themselves, of which we have proof. So how can these be false claims? Bots are following their lead, and why wouldn't they? They are Demi gods after all.
We are also not a small group of people, there's hundreds, and I'm sure more if they had the confidence to speak up. Unfortunately they don't because it's social suicide when you do.

Hi delurker! All great points! you have been brave to walk away you really have. I really hope that this is the end of MLM's for you, as it always does concern me to see that many who leave one mlm chalk it down to a bad mlm experience with that company rather than the model as a whole you know? Im sure you are sensible enough to not touch mlm with a bargepole after this! But We have seen it happen before so do go careful 😊

At the moment I'm just enjoying being myself again and having fun.

FL (and other MLMs) benefit directly from this method of managing people.

Free salesforce (often working for free or well below minimum wage)

Free from normal statutory rights and protections because they are "independent business owners"

Using "word of mouth" and secret groups to try and ensure public compliance with health claims (since they've realised now we are keeping an eye on the public stuff)

And all this leading to a culture of bullying, high-pressure tactics and mind control.

Hello Hunz, how are you all? Sorry I too have been MIA, I was taking time off MN and Social media for obvious reasons. I did see the DM article though and I noticed Barn Bot saying in a group that she did an interview for the article but it wasn't used. I know someone here was curious as to if she did. She actually seems like a really nice lady I hope she sees the light soon! Also seen the posts on TV from The girl that left FL! Ironic that she has the same name as the girl in the DM article.
