Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook

We have our own regularly returning bots.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

Has anyone commented about Timeless Vie and Bot Watch (and possibly Hommetrepreneur!) on the Daily Mail article? I would do but it's not easy on my phone. We could all vote it up then!

cozietoesie · 19/05/2016 23:27

I'd rather see another full media article including reference to them all, I think. Smile

Maybe someone else will pick up the baton.

Tragicomical · 20/05/2016 00:12

Cozie, I'm a fan of both TV and Bot Watch but thinking a media outlet will be interested in them is crazy. Best to post links in DM comments.

BSintolerant · 20/05/2016 00:19

Forever Fibbing would have been told about the DM article before it was publication. They were probably hoping nobody would take too much notice. Fat chance! Grin

TwatbadgingCuntfuckery · 20/05/2016 07:02

Agree that 'remedial action' just means they will try to paper over the cracks.

Perhaps more people will look into he training videos - they were mentioned in the article - and decide for themselves. So many of them are FULL of contradictions.

I particularly like the one with the bots sob story talking about it being 'monopoly money' and her expression as she said it. Brilliant 😁

cozietoesie · 20/05/2016 07:58

Oh you take the opportunity for links where you can get it, right enough. Smile

Who can tell what may come of other media exposure? The story might well be regarded by some people as 'having everything'. Smile

Twunk · 20/05/2016 08:02

My favourite comment on the DM website so far (and those are 9 words I thought I'd never type in one sentence) is one where someone is very upset that someone calls FL products "snake oil" - aloe Vera is a plant you idiots! Hmm Grin

cozietoesie · 20/05/2016 08:06

Oh my, Twunk. Grin

NorbertDentressangle · 20/05/2016 08:15

One of the comments I read on there is that if you click on the user name of any of the people commenting on the article it shows you when they joined the DM - apparently most of the posts in support of FL are by desperate bots people who only signed up yesterday.

They're pooping their pants aren't they? Grin

cozietoesie · 20/05/2016 08:38

Like much commercial enterprise, triangular selling is a fickle thing, eg dependent heavily on the public's perception of the product. (Whatever the product might be. Wink)

When you're only selling a limited type of wampum, you might have the advantage - initially - of having a monopoly market, more or less. If, however, the wampum is discredited then.......Oh Dear.

stopfaffing · 20/05/2016 11:56

Just seen this on another forum...

Hmmm.

cozietoesie · 20/05/2016 13:12

It's more a question of 'when' and not 'if'.

LMGTFY · 20/05/2016 13:27

Just popped into poundland, this made me chuckle.

'It doesn't work' wraps! OMG absolutely amaazing I've never seen results like this!

Mrshumblepants · 20/05/2016 17:48

Those daily mail comments keep growing! Sorry bots, looks like its 99% against from the general public! Not too dissimilar to the stats for making a profit in an mlm really? 😬

I would be interested to know if we have any new lurkers here since The article?
Do please come forward and introduce yourselves! It would be great to hear from you, we are always recruiting new #huns and #hommes to the mlm resistance!

😉😉

LeafTreeRaker · 20/05/2016 17:58

I do wonder if MNHQ read the DM article and thought: "Maybe eyespying wasn't trying to cause trouble after all. Maybe he was right about these companies and people all along. We should never have banned him..."

Fat fucking chance

Those wraps make me think of when Eddie has one in absolutely fabulous and absorbs the mud making her heavier Grin

Merclady · 20/05/2016 18:20

More and more people are waking up to these scams

David you must be delighted you spoke the truth and stood alone for so long.
Now you have your army

And to all the people putting in the time, effort and bloody hard work to bot watch and timeless vie ..I salute you

cozietoesie · 20/05/2016 20:52

A new Timeless Vie piece for people to read.

cozietoesie · 20/05/2016 20:54

Well done for coming forward.

cozietoesie · 20/05/2016 21:02

Can I just echo those comments about all the work, effort and time put in by Timeless Vie and Bot Watch Blog. Well done.

DoTheMLMHustle · 20/05/2016 21:32

No matter how much these companies try to say that's it's just a few that either bully or just a few that don't work hard enough bosh blah, I think there are just too many stories like this now to ignore

The bullying wouldn't be tolerated in an ordinary job. If you were actually self employed you wouldn't have that pressure either. The bot's have the worst of all worlds don't they, they pay to work there and have no protection

Twunk · 20/05/2016 21:42

You're right Hustle - you do have a boss (an up line) from whom you don't have normal employment protection. You don't even get paid minimum wage.

NorbertDentressangle · 20/05/2016 21:43

wow, a powerful TV post there.

Well done and congratulations on getting out!

I also like the linked post from the Mindset coach - I presume they've seen a lot of victims of MLMs to have written that.
